Reflections – Learning Experience

Page 12: Outline

Reflections – Improvement of the course

Page 13: Outline

Reflections – eLearning

Page 16: Outline

Public Speaking Coursein our General Education Programme

“Public Speaking” is designed for students who are rather shy to speak out. The course (70% English and 30% Putonghua) helps our students develop their speaking skills in English and Putonghua. More importantly, its helps them to generate ideas and organize them for effective delivery.

Course Intended Learning Outcomes:• Demonstrate a grasp of key concepts, principles, and theories underlying

effective communication; • Conduct audience analysis to prepare speeches for intended audiences; • Draw upon a variety of sources to enrich their oral presentations; • Apply principles of effective communication to the preparation and

delivery of presentations; • Analyze and evaluate presentations produced by themselves and others.

Can e-Learning Guarantee Student Success?

No, we cannot guarantee student success.

But, with the help of e-Learning, at least we can have better

evidence of students’ engagement in learning.
