Your Windoware Outdoor Screen Roller Blind comes complete with all parts and fixing accessories for a quick and easy installation. The only tools you will require are a 1/8” drill bit, a Phillips Head screwdriver, tape measure and a pencil. Note: The screws provided are for use with timber only. Please see your dealer for recommendations when installing your blind against other materials. STEP 1 Mark the holes where the screws will go. Use the table (Fig.1) to determine how far apart the brackets will be for your size roller. STEP 2 Screw the Idle Plug unit and Clutch unit into place. The Clutch unit will go on the right while the Idle Plug unit will go on the left. Do not tighten screws completely. STEP 3 Insert the Clutch plug into the clutch unit. While holding the roller, insert the other side (Idle End plug) into the Idle Plug unit. It should snap into place with a bit of pressure. Adjust brackets for a snug fit. Tighten screws to lock both brackets in place. STEP 4 Install the Tension Device. Feed the chain through the pulley as shown. Position the base so that the cord is taut and operable but not loose. It should only have enough slack to operate when pulled up or down, do not twist or slant the chain. Screw the base into place. Click the cover over the base and screw in place. STEP 5 Install the Tie Downs (Optional). This is used to secure your roller in light breezes. Remove the end caps from the bottom rail. Slide the Tie Downs into the groove, once this is done replace the end caps. You will need something to anchor the Tie Downs to such as a hook which should be sourced seperately from your hardware store. furnishing solutions with style! KEEP BLIND CORDS OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. To avoid creating a possible strangulation hazard for children, the corded internal window covering must be installed in such a way that a loose cord cannot form a loop 220mm or longer at a height of less than 1600mm above floor level. - A cord guide may be installed lower than 1600mm above floor level if the cord is sufficiently secured or tensioned to prevent a loop 220mm or longer from being formed. - If a cord guide is installed lower than 1600mm above floor level it must be designed to prevent a child from being able to remove the cord. - If a cleat is used to secure the cord it must be at least 1600mm above floor level because a child is capable of unwinding a cord from a cleat.
