Do not give them a candle to light the way, teach them how to make fire instead.
Model School, Rohtak a self financed unaided, private school with the moo, "Knowledge is Power"
was established in the year 1952 by the Deputy Commissioner of Rohtak Shri H.D. Shourie, I.A.S. from a
humble beginning with 4-5 children and one member of staff. The school now has around 4000
students on its roll with an ideal teacher taught rao.
The school is run by a registered society under the guidance of an Execuve Commiee with Deputy
Commissioner of Rohtak as its Ex-Officio Chairman. The link between the school and the Execuve
Commiee is maintained through an Honourary Secretary who is always available to the Principal for
beerment of the school. Under the able guidance of the Deputy Commissioner; Rohtak, our school
has progressed by leaps and bounds and is one of the most sought aer academic desnaons in
Haryana.

“Learning is not the outcome of decree; it is rather
the result of comprehensive parcipaon in a
meaningful surrounding”. People learn best by being
“with it”, yet school makes them idenfy their
personal, cognive growth with elaborate planning
and direcon.
Our Mission
Educaon is not just about reading some books and wring some papers or about some subjects that are
learnt and taught in school; it is about overall development of one's personality and character. It's a lifelong
process of moulding and polishing oneself for a greater social responsibility.
Since the New Year, 2021 has cast tremendous fear with the onslaught of the worst pandemic i.e. the
COVID - 19 and with the resultant darkness prevailing all over; it is an immensely giganc task to boost the
confidence of children to grow fearlessly. Model School, Ambedkar Chowk is doing its best through e-
counseling & online studies in bringing up the keen, sharp-edged bubbling learners.
I can't agree more when the late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam avers:
"All power Is Within You; You Can Do Anything And Everything. Believe In That,Do Not Believe That You Are Weak. Stand Up And Express The Divinity Within You."
