Strategies for access to ETsThese include but are not limited to:•Infrastructure development such as data points, wireless Internet connectivity, computer labs, computer kiosks and Procurement of ETs such as:

– Laboratory equipments, GIS for Illustration

Strategies for use of ETs

Use of ETs requires competencies. Hence the strategy for:End user skills training, technology use support staff, regulations on use:–Controlled user time (register, booking through the policy of first come first served, class roster). –Learning Management platform (MUeLE)

Students’ Perceptions and use of ETs

Majority of male and female perceive ETs as technologies that facilitate learning, useful for and hence are learning technologies.

However, differences are noted in choice of activities for ET use

All students use ETs for academics but Gender scripts and the doing of gender influences

Access and use experiences, personal interests and choices Thus more female use ET for communication

(email and chatting) More male use for entertainment (games, music

and movies)
