VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL HAD AN 0UTSTAND- ING WEEK AT “ROAR-VBS” Thank you for supporting the spiritual growth of hundreds of kids. Our week of “ROAR-VBS” included much excitement as we learned that Life can be Wild….but God is GOOD. Over one hundred and seventy volunteers helped make VBS a HUGE success. This figures out to be over 2,000+ volun- teer hours! These volunteers are to be commended for the work they took on!!! I also want to thank my intern, Julia Brandl, our thirty–four VBS Directors, and Dundee Presbyterian, Omaha Mead Lutheran, Mead NE First Congregational, Norfolk Square Tire Wis-Pak Burger King Canham Maytag Nebraska Appliance *(Please forgive me if I have missed anyone) XPLORE OUR SAVIOR SUNDAY SCHOOL (XOS) is being planned for you and your family with a start date of September 8th, 9:00-10:10. Our church would like to part- ner with you as we begin a fun filled, faith developing year . We will offer something for two-year olds and their parents, through grade 6. Praise God for his many gifts to us that we can, together, continue to Point Kids to Jesus! SUNDAY SCHOOL XOS MINISTRY WILL NEED the following with over 550 OSL members age 2-12: EXCELLENT POSITIONS OPEN IN THE FIELD OF POINTING KIDS TO JESUS- TRAINING IS FREE Call Trish Weander 649-4727 for more info. GUIDES- Guides do just that, they guide 5-8 children through the morning and reinforce the lesson that is taught by a Large Group Presenter, by leading small group activi- ties. A Guide can be half time or full time. Guides are needed for ages Nursery-Grade Six on Sunday mornings. SUBSTITUTES- fill in for those on the XOS Team that need to be gone on Sunday morning. LARGE GROUP PRESENTER- present the Bible lesson to the children on Sunday mornings through drama, skit, video, etc. PUPPETEER- puppeteers are positioned behind the set with a clip microphone and a script on Sundays. SUB COORDINATOR- during the week, contact subs from a pre-made list and place them into needed positions for the weekend. ADULT BABYSITTER- babysit for parents who are on the XOS Team and have children under the age of 2 on Sunday mornings. SHOPPER- shop for items needed during the week. INVENTORY– organize, fill tubs for the weekend and put away inventory during the week. OFFERING– collect and count offering on Sunday morn- ing. PRIZE PATROL- hand out prizes at the end of the XOS Sunday school hour. TECHNOLOGY- prepare and run computers, DVD’s, mi- crophones and sound systems on Sunday morning. WELCOMING- give children a “high five” on Sunday morning as they enter and exit the building, encourage par- ents and children to come again next week.
