Since its founding in 1917, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists has been a pillar of the world-wide scientific community. The original purpose of AAPG, to faster scientific research, to advance the science of geology, to

promote technology, and to inspire high professional conduct, still guides the Association today. Currently the world's professional geological society with

over 30,000 members, in over 116 countries around the world. Included among its members geologists, geophysicists, CEOs, managers,

consultants, students, and academicians.AAPG provides publications, conferences, and educational opportunities to

geoscientists and disseminates the most current geological information available to the general public. The Association is guided by officers and a

House of Delegates elected annually. The organization's programs are administered by an Executive Director and stuff located in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Nearly 100 local, national, and regional Geosciences associations around the

world are affiliated with AAPG and are represented in AAPG's House of Delegates.

  AAPG Student Chapters

The Student Chapter Program of AAPG is made of collegiate groups of geosciences students & one of the world's foremostco-educational programs within the geosciences sector withover 145 chapters.

It provides students the opportunityto develop leadership skills & serves as a focal point fordeveloping a feeling of professionalism through meeting industry representatives.

One of AAPG student chapters from 145 chapters around the world.In Egypt our active board represents the AAPG in Cairo University &the other two are under construction in Helwan & El-AZhar Universitiesunder the supervision of elected supervisor.

Our student chapter supervisor is DR. Ahmed Neyazi El-Barkookythe responsible of AAPG in Our University.

We aim to develop the role of geosciences in petroleum industryby developing ourselves as the careers developed, be helpful,ambitious & useful.

of organization at a high level of efficiency and this trip is one of the best field trips in faculty, which was organized
