Instructions - Dilute 1 kg of powder in 4 litres cold water, stir well. Wait

15 minutes, stir again and apply on a clean surface - 1 kg of powder is sufficient for one layer covering 30 m².

For shade loving plants a second and maybe a third layer will be necessary later on in the season.

Akerne’s RAIN MIX (NPK 13+3+15+11CaO+3MgO)

As orchids can flower at any time of the year, it is not always clear when one should use a fertiliser for growing or one for flowering. This problem can be solved by using a well balanced fertiliser year round. Following an article published in the american journal Orchids (June 2003) regarding the development of a new well balanced orchid fertilizer, the so-called “MSU fertilizer” of the Michigan State University, we have together with a few selected orchid amateurs redone the tests over a two year period and this with results beyond expectation. This well balanced orchid fertilizer which we offer you today is the result of more than ten years of research. This fertiliser in powder form has been especially developed for use with rainwater, RO water* or soft city water. Akerne’s RAIN MIX is based on the following principles :

♦ All the nitric nitrogen in this fertilizer is directly absorbed by the plant. This fertilizer does not contain any Urea ( a cheap nitrogen source) that requires high temperatures in order to be absorbed by the plant, resulting in a premature breakdown of the substrate due to micro-organisms

♦ This fertilizer also contains Calcium and Magnesium, necessary for the cell production, it can feed both roots and leaves.

♦ A low phosphorus “P“ content. The study has shown that a high phosphorus content is not necessary for a better flower production in orchids.

♦ All necessary trace elements are present: Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, B and Mo. The price for this new fertilizer in powderform, completely soluble in water, is cheaper than our previous liquid orchid fertilizer (taken into account the NPK concentration and the volume/weight) and far cheaper than the low concentration liquid “Grow“ and “Bloom“ orchid fertilizers. With the recommended dosage of ½ gram per litre at every watering it is not necessary to water with pure water in between.

~~~~ Omdat orchideeën het ganse jaar rond kunnen bloeien, is het niet altijd duidelijk wanneer men een ‘Groei’ of ‘Bloei’ meststof moet geven. Dit probleem kan opgelost worden door jaarrond een uitgebalanceerde meststof te gebruiken. Naar aanleiding van een artikel verschenen in het amerikaanse tijdschrift Orchids (juni 2003) over de ontwikkeling van een nieuwe uitgebalanceerde orchideeënmeststof, de zogenaamde “MSU fertilizer“ van de Michigan State University, hebben wij samen met enkele door de wol geverfde liefhebbers gedurende 2 jaar de test overgedaan en dit met onverhoopt succes. Deze nieuwe uitgebalanceerde orchideeënmeststof die wij u nu exclusief kunnen aanbieden is het resultaat van tientallen jaren research. Deze poedervormige meststof is speciaal ontwikkeld voor gebruik met regenwater, RO-water* of zacht leidingswater. Akerne’s RAIN MIX steunt op volgende basisprincipes:

♦ Alle aanwezige nitraatstikstof in de meststof is direct opneembaar door de plant. Deze meststof bevat geen Ureum (een goedkope stikstofbron) die voor de omzetting naar een opneembare stikstof door de plant een hoge temperatuur vereist, waardoor het substraat voortijdig verteerd wordt door micro-organismen.

♦ Deze meststof bevat eveneens Calcium en Magnesium, nodig voor de celopbouw en kan zowel als blad- en/of wortelvoeding gebruikt worden.

♦ Een laag fosfor “P” gehalte. De studie heeft uitgewezen dat er voor de bloeibevordering van orchideeën geen behoefte is aan een meststof met een hoog fosfor gehalte.

♦ Alle benodigde sporenelementen zijn aanwezig: Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, B en Mo.


De prijs van deze nieuwe poedervormige meststof, die totaal oplosbaar is in water, is goedkoper dan onze voorgaande vloeibare orchideeënmeststof (rekeninghoudend met NPK conc. en volume/gewicht) en stukken goedkoper dan de laag-geconcentreerde vloeibare “Grow“ en “Bloom“ orchideeënmeststoffen. Met de aanbevolen dosering van ½ gram meststof per liter tijdens iedere watergeefbeurt moet er niet nagespoeld worden.

~~~~ Puisque les orchidées peuvent fleurir en chaque saison, ce n’est pas toujours très clair quand il faut donner un engrais de croissance ou un engrais de floraison. Ce problème est résolu en utilisant tout au long de l’année un engrais complet. Suite à un article apparu dans la revue américaine Orchids (juin 2003) concernant le développement d’un nouvel engrais complet pour orchidées, notamment le “MSU fertilizer” de l’université de Michigan, nous avons ensemble avec quelques amateurs assidus refait les testes durant une période de 2 ans avec un succès inattendu. Ce nouvel engrais complet pour orchidées que nous vous offrons aujourd’hui est le résultat de dizaines d’années de recherche. Cet engrais sous forme de poudre est spécialement conçu pour l’utilisation avec de l’eau de pluie, de l’eau RO* ou eau douce du robinet. Akerne’s RAIN MIX est basé sur les principes suivants :

♦ Tout l’azote nitrique dans cet engrais est directement absorbé par la plante. Cet engrais ne contient pas d’Urée (source bon marché d’azote) qui exige une température élevée à fin d’être absorbé par la plante, ce qui provoque une décomposition prémature du substrat par des organismes microscopiques

♦ Cet engrais contient également du Calcium et du Magnésium, nécessaire pour la formation des cellules et nourrit aussi bien les racines que le feuillage

♦ Une contenance basse en phosphore “P”. La recherche a montré q’une forte dose de phosphore n’est pas nécessaire pour stimuler la floraison dans les orchidées.

♦ Tous les oligo-éléments nécessaire sont present : Fe, Mn, Zn, Cu, B en Mo. Le prix de ce nouvel engrais engrais en poudre, complètement soluble dans de l’eau, est meilleur marché que notre engrais liquide précédent (compte tenu de la concentration NPK et du volume/poids) et beaucoup moins cher que les engrais à concentration basse pour orchidées liquides du type “Grow“ et “Bloom“ En suivant le dosage de ½ gramme d’engrais par litre à chaque arrosage ce n’est point nécessaire d’arroser avec de l’eau pure entretemps.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

• Mail orders will receive a bonus plant (our choice) for every 125,00 EUR (excluding special offers and collections) spent in one order.

• Orders are accepted only in writing by e-mail, fax or letter. Please do not forget to give your phone-, faxnumber or e-mail address with your order.

• From November to March plants are only shipped weather permitting. • Mail orders are by prepayment or credit card only. • After we receive your order we will send you a detailed pro-forma invoice (shipment inclusive).

Credit cards will be billed around the day of shipment. Other shipments will be sent after receipt of full payment.

• We accept payment only by bank transfer or credit card issued in Euro. The following credit cards are accepted: VISA and Eurocard/MasterCard. Non IBAN/BIC bank transfers are subject to 15,00 EUR banking costs.

• Plants that have been spoken for will remain on hold after confirmation for a maximum of 15 days, after which period they will return to the sale.

• Delivery in Belgium and all EU countries by courier service. We do not ship outside the EU due to excessive administrative costs.

• Shipping costs and risks are for charge of the customer. Please check the contents of your shipment immediately upon arrival!

• Van november tot maart versturen wij enkel wanneer het weer dit toelaat. • Postorders worden steeds ofwel vooraf betaald ofwel per kredietkaart. • Na ontvangst van uw bestelling sturen wij u een gedetailleerde pro forma factuur (incl.

verzendingskosten). Kredietkaarten worden gedebiteerd kort voor verzending. De overige zendingen worden verstuurd na ontvangst van de volledige betaling.

• Envoi par correspondence: nous ajouterons une plante bonus (notre choix) pour chaque 125,00 EUR dépensé en une seule commande (exception faite pour les offertes spéciales et les collections).

• Les commandes sont acceptées uniquement par écrit, soit par e-mail, fax ou lettre. Prière de nous communiquer votre numéro de téléphone, de fax ou votre adresse e-mail lors de votre commande.

• De novembre à mars nous n'envoyons les plantes que si le temps le permet. • Commandes par correspondence: uniquement par prépaiement ou par carte de crédit. • Après réception de votre commande nous vous enverrons une facture pro forma détaillée (frais

d'envoi incl.). Les cartes de crédits seront débitées juste avant l'envoi. Les autres envois seront envoyés après paiement intégral de la facture.

• Nous acceptons les paiements uniquement par virement bancaire ou par carte de crédit en Euro. Nous acceptons les cartes de crédit suivantes: VISA et Eurocard/ Mastercard. Les virements de banques sans code IBAN/BIC seront augmentés de 15,00 EUR (frais de banque).

• Toutes les plantes réservées restent après confirmation à votre disposition pour un maximum de 15 jours, après cette période elles retournent automatiquement à la vente.

• Livraison pour la Belgique et les pays de la communauté européenne par service courrier. Nous ne faisons pas d’envois hors de la communauté européenne à cause des frais d’administration hors proportion.
