2017 West Texas Highlights

Planting Roots in MidlandWith more than 270 employees now living in Midland, we are ramping up our community involvement initiatives by partnering with the West Texas Food Bank, Junior Achievement of the Permian Basin, High Sky Children’s Ranch, Terrace West Nursing Home and Midland Need to Read.

Anadarko also donated more than $145,000 to help relocate and upgrade the Chris Davidson Opportunity Park, allowing the campaign to earn $650,000 in challenge grants from three Midland foundations. The park will appeal to children of all ages and all abilities.

Supporting First RespondersIn addition to financial support given to several local fire and EMS departments, we were honored to be able to provide a flatbed truck to the Winkler County Fire Department to help first responders attend to smaller call outs while leaving their large rig available for other calls.

Focusing on ConservationAnadarko is a core member and the first contributor to the development of the Pecos Watershed Initiative, which partners with the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and other operators to promote conservation around the Pecos River.

• To proactively engage regional stakeholders and more intimately manage growth plans, Anadarko expanded its regional office in Midland in 2017 with more than 270 employees now supporting our operations. Construction on a new office complex began in early 2018 and is expected to be completed by third-quarter 2019.

• Prior to concluding a participation agreement, Anadarko completed drilling operations necessary to capture 70% operatorship in its Delaware Basin acreage position.

• A recent benchmarking study by a large Permian drilling service provider found Anadarko to have the best drilling performance in the basin, operating four of their five top performing rigs.

• Employees in E&P operations and midstream construction demonstrated their commitment to safety by surpassing 4 million man-hours and 800,000 man-hours, respectively, without a lost-time incident.
