Dear Friends,
Fall in New England always brings
unbelievable beauty and unbelievable
weather! As the saying goes, “If you don’t
like the weather in New England, wait a
minute.” With that in mind, we will keep the
Outdoor Mass at 6:00PM until the end of the
month and then go week to week, depending
on the weather, but by the first full weekend in
November, we will have mass indoors. The
mass schedule will change beginning the first
full weekend in November and will be
announced in a couple of weeks. Please keep
in mind that in order for this to happen,
volunteers will be needed for liturgical roles as
well as helping to sanitize the church after
each Mass.
I would like to take this opportunity to
thank our Religious Education Staff, Michelle
Lu2er, Ellen DePatie, and Rob Carlin for their
extraordinary work in pu2ing together the
best schedule to insure the safety of our
children. While some parents may not feel
comfortable in sending the children to classes
here, I want to reassure everyone that we are
following the protocols right to the le2er.
Everyone needs the space and time to make a
decision that they are comfortable living with,
especially as regards the children. Please
know we are here to listen and to help in
whatever way we can to assist in the religious
education of the children, either in class or at
home. Please keep all of this in your prayers.
As we plan the parish calendar for the
coming year, we find that much of what we
have done in the past will be done differently
or not at all. We need to remind ourselves that
the pandemic will pass, that many of our
adjustments are temporary, and that God is
leading us through this cold and dark period
into the new light which God has planned for
us. May we take care of each other in the way
that Jesus has asked us to do, to love one
another as we have been loved.
    Peace, Fr. Michael

Do you have a Flower Garden? Are
there those among us who would like
to contribute flowers from their yards
to adorn the Tabernacle and the
Blessed Mother shrines? If so, we’ll
leave the door to the Family Center open on Saturday
mornings along with containers to put the flowers in
and then a volunteer will arrange them for the
weekend. We have had to reduce the budget in
different areas and we can no longer afford to have
them delivered to us on a regular basis. Thank you!
Please remember in your prayers
Carolyn Gelinas and Susan Franks,
daughter of parishioner Joan Elliott
May they rest in peace, and may
their families find comfort from
their faith in Jesus Christ.

been driven out of Israel by sectarian violence in
recent years, our support of these places is most

THANK YOU for your
continued support!
ARE YOU CAUGHT UP WITH US? Like
many others, there is always something that we
“mean to get to” but never quite there. People
have forgotten that while they have not come to
Mass, neither has their weekly support for the
parish. On a couple of occasions we have
received a contribution from parishioners who
are “making up” for the time that they haven’t
been to church. One way to make sure this
doesn’t happen to you is to use on line banking
from your own bank or signing up on our
website. While the pandemic has taken its toll
on so many areas, including some peoples’
livelihood, please know that if this is not the
case for you, try to get to the computer or your
checkbook and make your financial
contribution to Our Lady of the Lake. We
can’t give out Thank You Gifts as they do on
Public Television, but what we can give out the
love we have for God and for one another.
Something Beautiful for
God Campaign
As of 9/13/20, we have received 189
pledges totaling $596,809. Kindly send
your monthly or quarterly installments to
the Parish Business office. Please remember to indicate
Something Beautiful for God Campaign in the memo
section of checks and mark the envelopes Attn: Wendy
Chartrand. If you have any questions regarding the
installments, please contact Wendy Chartrand at
Ext. 101, or email [email protected].
Questions regarding pledging to the campaign should be
directed to Fr. Michael (Ext. 111) or Wendy Chartrand
(Ext. 101) or [email protected].
Thank you for your continued prayers and
support for a successful Campaign!
Your generosity has
helped many people!
During the week of
September 13th, 18 bags
of food were distributed.
