The Torres Strait IslandsThere are many beautiful islands in the Torres Strait. The sea is a very important part of our daily life and our culture. It is hot or warm all year round in the Torres Strait, so we love to swim. In summer it is also humid but we do get a lot of rain then too. We call it the wet season. Sometimes we have special ceremonies and wear special clothes.

The Snowy MountainsLiving near the Snowy Mountains is wonderful in both summer and winter. In summer it is never hot and there is so much fresh mountain air, especially when you go hiking. There are always amazing views and wild flowers to see. In winter it gets very cold and it snows, so people can go skiing!
