First we played an animal sorting game.

Page 2: Our Class Name Is...

We were each given an animal and we had to decide which group it fit into. Was it a fish, bird, mammal, insect, amphibian or reptile?

Page 3: Our Class Name Is...

When the sorting was complete we talked about mammals and what they were. “They have hair or fur” is what Andria remembered from our previous chat.

Next we each drew our favorite mammal.

A cat and me. Tita Effasaid I think you should get a cat like another person.

Dog I like dog because my grandfather said he like dog.

The rabbit. I like rabbit because I buy a rabbit in Jakarta and a cat.

Once we had all drawn our individual favorite animals we made a list. We had pigs, sheep, horses, tigers, rhinos, elephants, monkeys, cats, dogs and rabbits. We then started voting to narrow our list down to our top 5 favorite animals.

After tallying each vote the top 5 animals that remained were …(signal the sound of trumpets!!) TigerMonkeyHorseCatDog(incase you are confused by the picture the other animals had already been removed at this stage and these animals had been placed together)

The last two votes were cast and we were at a tie between tigers and horses both on 7 votes. Ms Resh still had her vote to be made but due to inside knowledge that Ms Catharine's class had already voted and their mammal had already been chosen (tigers) Ms Resh
