Senior Pastor David A. Nash [email protected]Cell 432-413-4394 Worship – 9:30am Sunday School – 10:30am We are enjoying Herb Miller’s book, “JESUS’ TWENTY MEGATRUTHS -- About the Kingdom of God.” Would you join with us in Fellowship Hall, after the worship service on Sunday mornings? Dr. Miller is a well-respected Christian Church (Disciples) pastor, leader and writer. His book is an interesting overview of the Savior’s biblical teachings about “The Kingdom.” This coming Sunday, March 5th, we will go over the fourth chapter, called, “Raising Your Insights”. We’d love to have you with us! ………We are excited to reserve Sunday, March 26 th as our “Vision for the Future” day at First Christian Church (please see The Vision Team’ss article in this newsletter, as well!) In Christ, David A. Nash Seeking God’s Direction for Us The Board of Directors in consultation with the Senior Minister has organized a Vision Team whose goal is to determine God’s direction for the First Christian Church of Sikeston. The Vision Team is being led by Lloyd Smith and Jeff Partridge. The remaining members of the team are Ben Alcorn, Donna Barks, Clay Hawes, Sally Lape, Ann Matthews, Steve McPheeters, Marcia Underwood as well as Sr. Pastor David Nash. The team has secured the assistance of Scott Woolridge who is the Associate Regional Minister for the Christian Church (Disciples) in Illinois and has been involved in Vision or Strategic Planning with over 100 Churches. As this team moves forward with this process we ask that our entire congregation be in constant prayer for the Vision Team and for our Church as we determine what God wants us to do and how we are going to do it. In addition, we need each of you to understand that the Vision Team’s work will only be successful if we have input and participation from as many of you as possible. With that in mind the Vision Team, along with Scott Woolridge, are asking that you join us on March 26 immediately following the 9:30 am service to help us determine the future of our Church. Scott will be facilitating this session and has promised that it will be fast paced, positive, honest and fun. We anticipate this session lasting until around 2 pm so lunch will be provided and we plan to have child care available. Again, pray for God’s guidance and direction as we embark on a new chapter in the life of our Church.
