OSMP WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT PROCESS
Presented by SCOTT BARRY, SOO LEE, BECKY AIKEN
SITE MAP Visual representation of the content that goes under our three main
categories:• Things to Share• Our Experiences• Research and Evaluation
Helped organize content in hierarchical fashion; served as a planning tool for designing the Web site
Site map for the OSMP website:
GOOGLE WAVE To collaborate, post and share ideas regarding designs or any other issues
related to the development of the Web site
To post Web site mockups, cool sites/widgets we found; exchange ideas and feedback
Google Wave Login Page
DESIGN PROCESS Mocked-up designs using Photoshop and posted them on Google Wave so all
four of us could review the designs and make comments
Weekly meetings among the four of us to discuss the website progress
Meetings with Judy and Dan to finalize the site map, website designs/mockups, and names for each category
Created a splash page that gave us an idea of how things looked inside a browser; serves as a placeholder until the new site is completed
Gathered content from all the partners involved

USING SOCIAL MEDIA We’ve used several social networking sites to provide updates, get more
people to know about the project, and drive traffic back to the OSMP Web site

PROMOTING THE SITE Other than using social networking sites, we are looking at different ways to
promote the website in order to drive more traffic to the OSMP website
One way of doing it is through Search Engine Optimization (SEO)• Improving traffic to our Web site from search engines using keywords
