Dr. Florian Boldt, Specialist in Orthodontics Today’s 3D scanning techniques make it possible to digitise patient records. By using digital impressions and facial scans, one can perform a full 3D analysis. Virtual and augmented reality help with diagnostics and patient treatments.This lecture describes the symbiosis of different digital 3D techniques and their usefulness for everyday practice.

TAD borne appliances provide the opportunity of a pre-aligners therapy to modify a difficult case into an easy case that can be finished with aligners in a significantly shorter treatment time. Utilising TAD´s in the anterior palate eliminates the risk of root injury and takes the implants out of the path of tooth movement.
