Fundraised for, organized, and implemented a series of talks geared
to stimulate interdisciplinary discussion and participation on a
variety of topics related to Colombias armed conflict. Invited
guests came from a variety of fields and backgrounds such as
indigenous leaders, scholars, and journalists.

Afropaedia: The Encyclopedia of the African Diaspora. W.E.B. Du
Bois Institute for Afro-American Research, Harvard University,
December 1997 to December 1999 (Afropaedia was released as Encarta
Africana CD-ROM, Microsoft, 1999 and as Africana: The Encyclopedia
of the African and African American Experience. New York: Perseus
Books, 1999.) In charge of establishing the canon, commissioning,
reading, and content editing of over one thousand entries
pertaining to the black diaspora's political and cultural history
in Latin America and the Caribbean. Part of the editorial team
headed by Professors Kwame A. Appiah and Henry Louis Gates Jr.
