DISPLACEMENT —THE PSYCHOLOGICAL PROCESS OF REDIRECTING PENT-UP FEELINGS TOWARD OBJECTS OTHER THAN THE MAIN SOURCE OF THE FRUSTRATION.

CONVERSION—A PSYCHOLOGICAL PROCESS WHEREBY EMOTIONAL FRUSTRATIONS ARE EXPRESSED IN BODILY SYMPTOMS OF PAIN OR MALFUNCTION.
