What the Left doesn't know— WOMEN’S SUFFRAGE Editor’s Note—A young Woman Democrat thought she knew everything about Women Getting the Vote, Until she read this…...Our Kids are not being taught properly...It is up to us to teach or Children and Grand-children. President Wilson was not for Suffrage until he had a Republican Majority in his Second Term.
The Republican Party pioneered the right of women to vote and was consistent in its support throughout the long campaign for acceptance. It was the first major party to advocate equal rights for women and the prin-ciple of equal pay for equal work. The Women’s Rights Convention held in Seneca Falls, N.Y., in 1848 marked the beginning of the women’s suf-frage movement in the United States. Two years later there was a nationwide meeting in Worcester, Mass. By 1870, the Massachusetts Republican State Convention had already seated two suffragettes, Lucy Stone and Mary A. Livermore, as delegates. In addition, the National Repub-lican Convention of 1872 approved a resolution favoring the admission of women to “wider fields of usefulness” and added that “the honest demand of this class of citizens for additional rights … should be treated with respectful consid-eration.” Wyoming, the state that pioneered women’s suffrage, sent two women, Therese A. Jenkins and Cora G. Carleton, to the 1892 Republican Convention in Minneapolis as alter-nate delegates. This was the first time women were seated at a Republican National Convention. This convention was also the first to be addressed by a woman, J. Ellen Foster, chairman of the Women’s Republi-can Association of the United States. A strong believer in organization, Foster said her association had prepared work plans for women’s involvement in national politics. Copies were given to each delegate and alternate. “We are here to help you,” she declared, “and we are here to stay.” At the request of Susan B. Anthony, Sen. A.A. Sargent, a Republican from California, introduced the 19th Amend-ment in 1878. Sargent’s amendment (also known as the Susan B. Anthony Amendment) was defeated four times by a Democrat-controlled Senate. When the Republican Party regained control of Congress in 1919, the Equal Suffrage Amendment finally passed the House in May of that year and in the Senate in June. When the Amendment was submitted to the states, 26 of the 36 states that ratified it had Republican legislatures. Of the nine states that voted against ratification, eight were Democratic. Twelve states, all Republican, had given wom-en full suffrage before the federal amendment was ratified. On August 18, 1920, Tennessee became the 36th and final state needed to ratify the amendment. The U.S. Secretary of State certified the amendment on Aug. 26, 1920.
CARING FOR AMERICA…...
OFRW President Jan Williamson has Designated the Louisiana Flood as the OFRW Caring for America Program for 2016.
LOUISIANA FLOOD—As Reported in the Washington Post….
BATON ROUGE — Five days into this disaster, adrenaline is giving
way to exhaustion and — for many of those who left their homes
amid rising water — a constant, churning anxiety about the future.
Thousands are still holed up in shelters or at friends’ houses on high
ground, relying on Facebook videos and word-of-mouth for an an-
swer to the question on everyone’s tongues: How bad is the dam-
age?
“We still don’t know the state of our house,” said Justin Sylvest, 21,
who lives with his girlfriend and their 11-month-old in Denham
Springs, a town east of Baton Rouge that was among the hardest
hit.
The three of them had been staying since Sunday at an emergency
shelter on the vast grounds of the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gon-
zales, southeast of Baton Rouge. Sylvest said the shelter had pro-
vided everything his family needed, starting with formula for the baby
and clean clothes.
But a shelter’s still a shelter, a gymnasium lined with cots with no
personal space or guaranteed quiet — all the more difficult for a
young father who isn’t sure whether his family has a place to live or a
way to pay the bills. He said he hadn’t slept much.
“I don’t even know when I’ll be able to go to work,” Sylvest said, tak-
ing a drag on a cigarette. “It’s going to be a lot getting back to nor-
mal.”
NFRW President Carrie Almond sent out an SOS this week, urg-
ing NFRW members pull together to aid members in Louisiana
impacted by the floods that have devastated major parts of the
state. Approximately one-third of the members of the Louisiana Fed-
eration live in flooded areas. "Right now we have sisters and their
families who are in need of shelter, food, medicine and clothing.
Take a minute to make a difference," Almond urged.

A subversive political movement has been quietly
teaching their beliefs in many of our schools for
years.
This movement is now taking steps to expand their reach by establishing a national political indoctrination program to impose their political agenda on students throughout the school system. This indoctrination pro-gram would reach children wherever they live and would include charter, private and home school situations.
History reminds us of what can happen when a political movement is allowed to use education as a tool to politically indoctrinate (brainwash) innocent chil-dren. Hindsight is 20/20. We have the choice, the power and the opportunity to learn, to take action and to stop the political indoctrination of our children. The idea of No Child Left Inside is one of the main tools this movement is using to slip their agenda into our schools. Current steps to impose this agen-da begin with the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. The Elementary and Secondary Education Act is the federal legis-lation that directs the course of elementary and secondary education in America. This legislation was recently reauthorized and the new version, the Every Student Succeeds Act (S.1177), was signed into law by President Obama on December 10, 2015. During the reauthorization process, goals from another piece of legislation, the proposed No Child Left Inside Act of 2015, were inserted into the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) due to the efforts of this political movement. Congressman John Sarbanes, author of the No Child Left Inside Act, released a victory statement regarding the pas-sage of the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) which included the following: “The environmental education provision contained in ESSA comes from the No Child Left Inside Act (NCLI), a bipartisan bill authored by Con-gressman Sarbanes that is designed to enhance American students’ environmental literacy.” Inserting No Child Left Inside goals for environmental education and environ-mental literacy into the ESSA enables this movement to create the false im-pression that 1) they have a federal mandate for states to teach this curricu-lum and, 2) the curriculum attached to teaching these subjects has been ap-proved by Democrats and Republicans at the federal level. Curriculum Not Scrutinized: In the rush to pass the ESSA, the curricu-lum attached to teaching No Child Left Inside goals was not thoroughly scruti-nized to ensure the intended outcomes were understood and the content would not unfairly influence the education of America’s children. No Child Left Inside: Imposing Goals of a Political Movement Congress-man John Sarbanes has stated the No Child Left Inside Act “is the arm of an advocacy movement”. In other words, the No Child Left Inside Act is the arm of a political movement. The purpose of this legislation and this curriculum is to impose the agenda of that movement on our children. The following state-ment from the No Child Left Inside Act reveals how this movement is infusing their agenda into our schools: “Forty-eight States have developed, or are in the process of developing, environmental literacy plans to effectively integrate environmental edu-cation into the prekindergarten through grade 12 curriculum and ensure that students graduate from high school environmentally literate.” How many people in those 48 states realize No Child Left Inside is “the arm” of a political movement and environmental literacy plans are being used to integrate the goals of that movement into our schools? Take away the envi-ronmental language and the political goals come to light: 1) target children in prekindergarten. Start molding the behavior of
children attending preschool by using simple messages that align their little hearts and minds with this movement’s beliefs.
2) integrate the political goals of this movement into the curriculum as
the way to a) teach the political beliefs of this movement as part of factu-al learning in multiple subject areas, b) require students to study those political beliefs from prekindergarten all the way through the 12th grade, c) pressure students to apply those political beliefs in school and in their personal lives, d) change the purpose of education to brainwash-ing and train students to adopt one political mindset.
