OME Technician Apprenticeship Funding is now available for an OME Technician Apprenticeship (level 4) which will be delivered by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Swansea at the new SA1 Innovation Quarter (IQ) campus.

• Apprenticeshipsareagreatwaytogainhands-onexperiencewhile studyingtowardsaHNClevelqualificationandearningawage.• Youwillbeinemploymentandwillstudyusingaflexiblestudymethod agreedbetweentheuniversityandyouremployer..• Yourtuitionfeesandtrainingcostswillbefullyfunded.• Apprenticeshipsareall-ageprogrammeswithnoupperagerestrictions.• DeliveryofKnowledge,SkillsandBehavioursisacombinationof universityattendance(offthejobtraining)andtrainingwiththe employer(onthejobtraining).• Atotalofeightweeksperacademicyearwillberequiredeitherat university,viablendedlearningoremployer-basedspecialisedtraining. Plusfocusedassignmentandprojectworkoutsidethosetimesin conjunctionwithyouremployer.

OMEtechnicianscancarryoutarangeoftechnical,engineeringandscientificactivitieswhichmayincludelaboratory-basedinvestigations,explosivesrangetesting,engineeringstudiesandscientificexperimentationintheirspecialistfield.
