WOODY NOOK 101! If you’d like to profess your faith, become a member of Woody Nook, or simply learn a bit more about faith, please join us for Woody Nook 101. The Dates are: April 24, May 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 Tuesday evenings from 7-9pm. If you have questions or to register, please contact Dayna. **Please note: Profession of faith is for any age—old or young—who would like to commit yourself to following God within a community of people. It does not mean you have everything figured out or are perfect or won't stumble and fall, but simply that you will commit yourself to walking and living the way of Christ in your day to day life. Throughout Christian history this has been an important step in the journey of our walk with God and so if you have not yet done this (or you have friends who haven’t) we encourage you to consider it.
NURSERY UPDATE: There are a couple of changes to the nursery procedure that supervisors and committee members will be enforcing so the nursery runs more smoothly. When parents/guardians pick up children after service, please enter by the front gate, sign the kids out at the doors of their rooms, and exit by the back door to the west. Please do not leave through the gate, for safety purposes. Only parents/guardians with their green parent ID tag can pick up their children. While leaving the area everyone is to drop off the tags to the second supervisor who is collecting them. Please keep children that are sick at home. If the supervisors think that your child is sick they have the right to refuse them from coming into the nursery. Thank you for everyone’s cooperation to keep nursery running smoothly. –The committee members.
MORNING BREAK a gathering for women, will continue on Wed., April 18 from 9:30 – 11:30 am. There will be a nursery and story hour for your kids

2nd Annual Woody Nook CHILI COOK-OFF: Think your
Chili is the best? Put it to the test on Sunday, April 22!
Text or call Coby Visscher at 403-896-9007 if you’d like to
submit a crock-pot of chili and help feed (and cheer
on) the talented GEMS and Cadets during the Kub Kar
races. We will once again be accepting donations at
the meal for Woody Nook’s Debt Reduction.
CADETS (For boys in Grades 5 to Grade 9) Well it looks like our Cadet year is starting to wind down. It’s been a fun year and we have a great group of boys. April 22 is the Kub Kar races here at church. Bring your cars to church and plan on a good time.
Our last regular meeting is on April 25th and we plan to go bowling in Sylvan Lake. Start time is 7:00pm and Dads are invited. We will also have food provided. We will also be having a summer campout. We will fill you in when we know more.
WELL HERE WE GO AGAIN! It’s the time of year to think of
gardens and mowing the lawn, fires and camping. Sorry wrong
year. Instead of getting down about the weather, take the time to
make a Kub Kar and come and race it at the Woody Nook KUB
KAR Derby! The date has been set FOR SUNDAY, APRIL 22
after the morning service and after the 2nd Annual Chili Cook-
off. Once again, the boys hope to prove they have what it takes
to make the girls feel special by holding back our speed, or will
we????? You’ll will need to come out to see. If anyone would
like a kit to make their own car, please see Kevin Mulder or
Keith Vaandrager and we will hook you up. If you feel
compelled to help, pick a Cadet and help make sure his car is
fast. If the boys don’t win this year, we may not be below
cheating. Just kidding. It’s all for fun. Hope to see you all there!

The Crop Fundraiser 2018 is a GROW! Land to grow this
year’s canola crop has been arranged so all the parts of
this fund-raising project are now being arranged and we
need your help. The 70 acres of land is located close to
Wilsons Beach. If you can help with any of the farming
operations or are willing to supply some of the inputs,
contact Peter. There are many costs with growing a
crop, and we are looking to the congregation to help
with this. For $200.00 an acre donation you are able to
see your money grow. If you would like to be a part of the
fundraiser, please place your donation in the building
fund mail box (located on North wall in Church office) or
Peter Den Oudsten’s mail box, with your cheques made
out to Woody Nook CRC, designated to the crop project.
We have seen the last 8 years what a blessing the canola
crop has been to the building fund. If you have any
questions, please contact Peter DenOudsten.
