The purpose of these cards is to engage students in the practice of solving and writing numerical expressions, as well as using the order of operations.
I wanted the format of this product to be versatile, so I created the worksheets using the exact same problems from the task cards. Options are important! Sometimes our students just need practice with a skill, and we don’t necessarily have time to do task cards. Since each worksheet has six questions, they can easily be used as some kind of mini-assessment, or as a review later in the year.
Notes: • The following cards involve the use of
brackets/braces, in addition to parentheses: 5, 8, 11, 14, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 29, 32, and 41
