2020-2021 UWO Orchestra STRING Excerpts 1 2020-2021 STRING Orchestra Audition Information and Excerpts Auditions will take place ONLINE using the Flipgrid platform. Flipgrid is a website that allows teachers to create "grids" to facilitate video discussions. Each grid is like a message board where teachers can pose questions, called "topics," and their students can post video responses that appear in a tiled grid display. Flipgrid is free to download and use. However, it is required that you sign-up and use your uwosh.edu email account to do so. For Flipgrid you may use a computer, tablet, or phone. Directions: 1. visit flipgrid.com/uwso2020auditions or flipgrid.com and enter our code “uwso2020auditions” 1.1. If prompted, our “Join Code” is 36550aa3 2. signup with your uwosh.edu email account. 3. locate the “topic” “Submit your awesome auditions here” 4. click “Record a Response” to begin recording your audition submission Other: 1. state your name and what you’ll be playing 2. there should be nothing else on the video audition beside your audition 3. record indoors and with minimal background noise 4. dress appropriately 5. no audition may last longer than 10 minutes 6. make sure the quality of audio and video is adequate for the purpose 7. position the camera so that your arms and hands are visible Information related to registration, orchestra policies, and semester scheduling can be found in the orchestra syllabus.
