With Orbit Asset Inventory Management, asset themes are easily defined for each type of object that needs to be man-aged. Simple procedures add themes to the central database.

Interprete panoramic imagery, walk through, roam and zoom, use extra camera content, find by address or other key, or simply click on the map : it’s all there. Make measurements of positions and distances on the go.

Feature Extraction and Content Creation

Use the panoramic image and point cloud to make a single-click registration. Create point, line, area objects from any viewpoint or combine several panoramas to register larger objects.

No point cloud ? No problem ! Use the triangulation method and register each object in 2 panoramas.

Overlay and Map integration

Orbit Asset Inventory Management combines the standard 2D map view with panoramas. Any GIS content can be used. Vector data can be overlayed on panoramas with a single click. All Mobile Mapping content and Asset Inventories are stored in a central database system of choice. Orbit’s core client-server technology shares all types of data corporate wide and over the internet. A GSDI on its own or as part of corporate infrastructure.

Each inventory item is automatically documented with an extraction from the panoramic image used to create it. Now add extra pictures, documents, a map annotation, and fill in any attribute that is useful for this item. Use Orbit’s attribute rules to fill in attributes automatically.

Orbit’s EOS server and its MoMa Publishing extension provide the tools to publish both MoMa content and Asset Inventories to the web using the FlexMap and FlexPano webtools. Mobile devices access the same Orbit EOS server.
