With FSCM 9.2, we provide a Global Application Search capability allowing users to search across multiple related components. Secure Enterprise Search (SES) provides a familiar user interface similar to faceted consumer site internet searches and provides users with secure access to your organization's data sources such as FSCM modules and file attachments.

With SES capabilities at the Global level, we will provide better access to enterprise information, while protecting sensitive data from unauthorized users. The search is secure and supports multiple languages.

Advanced search capabilities are available with this feature as well as user-defined search groupings so users can quickly locate the information they’re seeking and take action on the related search results.

Example of the Global Search field in the Oracle header

In addition for FSCM 9.2, we enabled Secure Enterprise Search (SES) capabilities in components starting with the Procure-to-Pay business processes, as well as Assets and Expenses. Similar to the PeopleTools search capability, you will experience additional search criteria as well as a keyword search to allow for more granular and user-defined search mechanisms.

Pivot Grids were introduced in PeopleTools 8.52 to provide self-service, interactive analytical grids and charts for users to segment and filter data.

Example of a Pivot Grid

Pivots grids are based on PS Queries and can display the results in a grid format, a chart format, or both. You use the Pivot Grid Wizard (Reporting Tools > Pivot Grid > Pivot Grid Wizard), which is a 5-step process, to design how the page is displayed to the user.

Pivot Grids can be added as pagelets (on a user’s Home page) and to the Queries tab in a WorkCenter.

For more information on Pivot Grids, see Oracle PeopleSoft PeopleTools 8.53 Release Value Proposition (Oracle Support Document 1473194.1).

Embedded Help Detailed, embedded help now appears to users when they select the information (question mark) icon available on group boxes, grids, or scroll areas on a page.

Example of Embedded Help in a transaction page

These page-specific instructions are designed to help users understand what they should do to complete a specific task or transaction. The help message appears in a modal window that can be moved around the page, and remains visible as users navigate through the page.

Embedded help is configurable in the message catalog, which enables organizations to create, edit, and provide their own embedded help text.

Embedded help was initially delivered as part of the continuous delivery model in PeopleSoft FSCM Release 9.1 January 2012 release for PeopleSoft Expenses and eProcurement. Embedded help for additional self-service and administrative transactions will be delivered in the FSCM 9.2 release.

PeopleSoft Continuous Delivery Model

PeopleSoft Continuous Delivery Model Video Feature Overview

Play Now

PeopleSoft plans to continuously deliver new capabilities and features for the industry-leading PeopleSoft applications – within each calendar year between major releases. We refer to these new features and capabilities as Feature Packs. You can obtain them through several existing mechanisms, such as:

• Bundles and individual postings

• Maintenance Packs

• Revision recut media.

If you are a PeopleSoft customer and your organization is already live on the current release, you can obtain the latest capabilities by deploying either cumulative or delta maintenance packs, maintenance bundles, or individual postings. These include maintenance and feature packs as described in your documentation.

If you are upgrading from a previous release, or if you are a new customer installing the current release, you can make sure you have the latest capabilities by deploying the most recent revision recut from the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.

The Revision recut media includes the latest General Availability software release, all of the maintenance postings up to the date of the revision recut, and all of the feature packs up to the date of the revision recut.

PeopleSoft plans on delivering Feature Packs at different times and over the course of a year between major releases through maintenance packs, bundles, and individual postings. Revision Recuts are planned for annual delivery through the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud. PeopleTools releases are planned for annual delivery through the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud. And new PeopleSoft application releases are planned for delivery every three years through the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud.

PeopleSoft Update Manager On a regular schedule, PeopleSoft will deliver the most current PeopleSoft applications code and objects in the form of a PeopleSoft Update Image on a Virtual Machine. PeopleSoft Update Manager utilizes familiar tools like Change Assistant and Change Packager and provides a way for customers to select what they want to patch to their environment. With PeopleSoft Update Manager:

• Your environment does not have to be current on maintenance. • You can select a single fix and have the system automatically find the needed prerequisites to

go with that fix. • You can “get current” on fixes by having the system generate a custom change package that

suits the current state of your environment.

Lifecycle Management

The PeopleSoft Update Manager tool alleviates many patching issues by:

• Making it quick and easy to download a current PeopleSoft Update Image with the VirtualBox technology.

• Providing the customer with the ability to search on specific fixes by bug ID or by specific object reference.

• Generating a custom change package based on the customer selection and the patches already applied to the customer environment.

• Drawing updated objects from the most current PeopleSoft Update Image. • Automatically including prerequisite and post-requisite updates. • Providing the customer with a change package where each distinct object is called out only one

time and applied only one time in the correct sequence.

With the new update manager tool, there will be no more prerequisite bundles or maintenance packs. The custom change package contains only those required objects based on the customer selection; only one package needs to be applied; and distinct objects are applied only once to the customer environment. Customers will see immediate benefits in reduced time and effort for analysis and preparation, patching, and patching verification and validation.

PeopleSoft Interaction Hub The PeopleSoft Applications Portal has just been re-branded as the PeopleSoft Interaction Hub. PeopleSoft is now offering an extended restricted use license (login required) of the PeopleSoft Interaction Hub, free with PeopleTools. This change extends the existing restricted use license to include these additional capabilities: Dynamic Unified Navigation and Site-Wide Branding.

These additions augment the capabilities provided in the previous restricted use license, which remain available: creation and use of collaborative workspaces, and pre-built collaborative services for use in related content.

If customers want to use the PeopleSoft Interaction Hub for traditional portal purposes, they can employ the PeopleSoft Interactions Hub’s full capabilities such as multiple site deployment/management and content management by buying the full, unrestricted license.

Third-Party Hosted Credit Card Storage and Payment There are three major areas of risk in electronic payment transactions: collection of data, storage, and transmission. For Release 9.2, PeopleSoft provides a framework in the Order to Cash modules (Order Management, Billing, eBill Payment, and Accounts Receivable) to facilitate the collection and processing of payment information by third-party credit card hosts. Businesses with an Order to Cash system can convert from a traditional credit card model (local storage of credit card data) to a hosted model, where a third-party hosts or stores credit card data. The only data that are stored in PeopleSoft tables are the following: last four digits of the credit card number, profile ID, credit card type, and payment processor.

Credit Card Options page

This feature is referred to as Third-Party Storage and Payment Hosting and includes the following functionality:

• A secure wipe program securely and permanently erases all credit card information once a PeopleSoft Order to Cash system switches to the hosted credit card implementation.

• When the tender type associated with a Payment Method specifies credit card, the component provides exit points from different components (Customer/Contact entry page, Order Management, eBill Payment, Billing, and so on) by saving the context of the transaction (such as the amount and payment request number) before making a transition to the Third-Party Hosted site.

• Users enter sensitive information on the Third-Party Processor site, and credit card information will no longer be stored in the PeopleSoft FSCM database.

• The Order-to-Cash applications receive responses from the Third-Party Processor site, identify and verify the transactions, and direct the response back to the application initiating the credit card entry or payment. History is captured whether or not the authorization or settlement was accepted or denied.

• FSCM 9.2 utilizes a Token ID to identify the particular combination of Cardholder, Credit Card, and so on, without retaining credit card data in the PeopleSoft system. This identifier is stored in the FSCM database.

Approval Framework Improvements & Extensions PeopleSoft Financials and SCM 9.2 builds on Release 9.1 to further extend and enhance the use of the Approval Framework (formerly AWE) to meet increasing business control requirements. The following enhancements are enabled for the Financials and SCM 9.2 applications:

• Ability to add an ad-hoc approver during the approval cycle. • Ability to add comments and attachments to a transaction during the approval cycle. • Extend the approval framework to support Commitment Control Budget Journals. • Extend the approval framework to support specific Treasury and Asset Management flows.

Please review each product area for details.

Financials Audit Trail for Supplier Changes PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 introduced the Financials Audit Framework, providing efficient tracking of transaction processing through a configurable audit trail with increased visibility while managing system resource usage.

PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 extends the use of the audit trail to support the changes made to the supplier core data. Customers can configure the data elements that must be tracked in terms of changes. Customers can see the changes and who made them through the Financials Audit Trail online inquiry.

For more information, refer to Financial Audit Trail for Suppliers.

Attachments Attachments enable you to provide supporting documentation for financial transactions PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 provided customers with a framework to attach supporting documentation to the financial transactions themselves. PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 extends this capability to transactions within the following products:

• Expenses • Receivables • eBill Payment • Payables • Asset Management • Treasury

For more information, please refer to the respective product sections.

Page 18: Oracle's PeopleSoft FMS, ALM, SRM, and SCM Release 9.2 ...

WorkCenters The goal of the WorkCenter is to consolidate and centralize access to relevant data and allow the organization to provide the tasks that must be completed by users. The PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 WorkCenters use the PeopleTools WorkCenter Framework and the FSCM Application WorkCenter Framework, which facilitates the configuration of the delivered pagelet content. Pagelets help drive the transaction and work area for users to complete sets of tasks based on their functional area.

The FSCM 9.2 WorkCenters will deliver four standard pagelets – My Work, My Links, Queries, and Reports and Processes.

Example: Receivables WorkCenter – My Work pagelet

FSCM WorkCenters are planned to be preconfigured by user role when the release is delivered. However, they can be modified during implementation, or upgrade, based on the needs of your organization. The expectation is that functional administrators will decide the level of information and end-user capabilities that they want to enable for their end users. The framework allows for end users to personalize the content at a user, role, or permission list level.

PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 includes WorkCenters for these applications: Payables, Billing, Receivables, General Ledger, Supply and Demand, Staffing, Contracts (including Grants and Projects), Supplier Administration, and SRM Buyer Administration.

My Work

This pagelet includes personalized, user-specific work items for the user to review and complete. The work item links have been pre-seeded in each of the delivered WorkCenters based on specific user roles.

Users should be able to work through the most critical daily tasks using the content provided through the My Work tasks. The result set of the task will be displayed in the transaction area (the right pane) along with the capability to filter and take actions.

Users can set specific filter criteria to manipulate the result set, which has been provided in the application framework to achieve delegation of work load in an enterprise. The filter criteria can be used to only show transactions that are user-, role-, or permission list-specific.

My Links

This pagelet includes links to the most important application components that each functional user needs to use and have access to. This pagelet can be personalized to include any internal or external link.

Queries

This pagelet includes access to Query Manager and any public or private queries to which the user has access. The query output can be viewed in the transaction area (the right pane).

Pivot Grid output for PS Queries can be accessed using this framework.

Reports and Processes

This pagelet includes access to key processes and reports that the user needs to execute and for which he or she has security access. Users can view the PeopleTools Reporting Console if they have appropriate security access.

Forms and Approval Builder

Forms and Approval Builder Video Feature Overview

Play Now

Forms and Approval Builder aims to help organizations eliminate paper and email based forms, replacing them with auditable, electronically approvable, and immediately accessible forms and form data. The tool is a PeopleSoft common component and will offer analysts the ability to specify an unlimited number of various field types to appear on a form; define instructions, attachments, and approval routing paths for forms; and map the form fields to PeopleSoft Component Interfaces so that the form can feed data into a PeopleSoft transaction.

Supplier Onboarding & Collaboration PeopleSoft FSCM Release 9.2 supports Supplier Onboarding and Collaboration using the following capabilities, which are available to applications that use the Vendor (now renamed Supplier) core information:

Self-Service Registration for New Suppliers and New Bidders

This new step-by-step registration process for new suppliers and bidders can be configured to be accessible on your organization’s public website for unsolicited requests so that any supplier or bidder can request to do business with you. Or it can be configured for access by invitation only, whereby you can send selected contacts an email with a URL and registration code for accessing the registration pages.

The registration information and pages that you expose to the selected audience are configurable with the ability to route the new Suppler or new Bidder requests through an approval process. As part of the approval process, there are plans to incorporate Duplicate Supplier Checking to ensure the supplier doesn’t already exist in the system, and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) denied parties screening. Within the approval pages for each individual supplier registration request, users will have most of the same options that are available for other transactions today using the Approval Workflow Engine (AWE).

Employee Self-Service Supplier Registration

In addition to the online registration pages, PeopleSoft FSCM Release 9.2 provides automation for new user requests. Instead of someone in the organization calling the Supplier Management department or sending an email requesting a new user account, an employee is able to enter a request directly in the system and have the request routed through the Approval Workflow Engine and upon approval, automatically create the supplier record. The Employee Self-Service Supplier Registration has a similar user experience as the new supplier and new bidder registration pages and is configurable to capture the same type of information.

Manage Supplier Approvals

Once Suppliers or Employees submit their new registration requests, PeopleSoft automatically submits the request for review and approval using the Approval Workflow Engine. Reviewers and approvers receive an automated notification that a new registration request is awaiting their approval.

Manage Invitations

This page helps you send registration invitations and other email notices to selected Supplier and Bidder contacts. You are able to select from an assortment of user-defined and -delivered email templates. Manage Invitations can be associated directly with a registration template so email content will automatically contain all of the information solicited suppliers need to access the registration pages. Other examples for which you may want to leverage Manage Invitations is to notify suppliers that your system will be down for maintenance for the weekend, or to send a reminder notice to suppliers to keep their profile information up-to-date.

Configurable Profile Questions

Use configurable profile questions to create a master set of user-definable questions and information, from which you can select any or all on different registration templates. This is useful for capturing supplier and bidder information that PeopleSoft does not automatically require, such as additional diversity information or questions that are unique for your organization.

Please refer to the product sections below to see how Supplier Onboarding has been leveraged in a particular application.

The configurable framework has the ability to specify whether attachments are allowed at the header (report) level, the line (transaction) level, or both. Also, the iOS-based Oracle iReceipts application enables users to take pictures (or pull from the camera roll) of an iPhone and send the pictures to PeopleSoft Expenses - My Wallet so that the photo file attachment is included with the transaction. Finally, Expenses 9.2 integrates with the document management system Oracle Imaging and Process Management (Oracle I/PM). Organizations using this integration can provide robust tools to users to capture an image and attach their receipts (using automatic barcoding) to the expense report for approval, audit, receipt verification processing, and so on.

Visual Depiction of Expense Report Status The new Expenses user interface presents a graphical status bar that offers an at-a-glance view as to where the expense report is in the process. It dynamically reads approval workflow setup to display the workflow steps, so the user can determine how many more steps are needed before receiving reimbursement.

See the View Expense Report page in the Expense Report Withdrawal section.

Enhanced Credit Card Transaction Detail PeopleSoft Expenses 9.2 offers support for credit card feed enhanced data (sometimes also referred to as “level 3 data”) from credit card suppliers. The enhanced data provides additional breakdowns of each transaction (for example, airfare, car rental, hotel folio, and so on) and can be configured with additional mapping to automatically break down the transaction into its subsequent components. With enhanced data, users can have a transaction pre-itemized, saving them time and steps, as opposed to needing to use the Receipts Split or Hotel Wizard functionality. The enhanced data can also trigger additional approval refinement templates or risk assessment templates based on setup and rules.

Template Expansion and Refinement Expansion of the existing role-based privilege templates in Release 9.2 provides the flexibility to enable a simpler presentation of only the critical information, while controlling which roles have access to the appropriate data.

A new approval and risk refinement template for older transactions will flag approvers and auditors of transactions that are older than a customer-definable number of days. For example, when the expense policy of an organizational dictates that expenses that are older than six months can no longer reimbursed.

To use this feature, access the Approval Risk Template page (Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Expenses > Management > Approval Setup > Risk Template) and the Approval Refinement Template page (Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Expenses > Management > Approval Setup > Refinement Template).

Global Per Diem Rule Enforcement With PeopleSoft Expenses 9.2, a configurable per diem rules calculator will accommodate widely variable per diem rules.

The new calculator offers:

• A new range category to establish a virtually unlimited number of daily or hourly ranges that determine per diem reimbursement amounts.

• Per diem deductions by percentage, amount, and by a flexible formula configuration.

• A flexible formula setup page with key per diem data fields and mathematical operators to support complex per diem rules. The formula setup page is also expected to provide a test option so that administrators can perform what-if scenarios to simulate the calculation of per diem transactions.

To use this feature, access the Per Diem Calculation Setup page (Set Up Financials/Supply Chain > Product Related > Expenses > Location > Expenses Calculation).

General Ledger 9.2 PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 delivers enhancements that allow Finance/Accounting to support the business through insight and improve operations through efficiency and automated controls.

The following enhancements were added to improve visibility into financial balances and activity:

• Adjustment Period Option for Average Daily Balances (ADB) • Separate Debit/Credit Visibility • Financial T-Account Visibility • Incremental Update for Hyperion Essbase Ledger Cube • General Ledger to Hyperion Planning Integration

The following enhancements are added to improve efficiency and productivity in finance and accounting operations:

• General Ledger WorkCenter • Improved General Ledger to Sub-System Reconciliation • Account Reconciliation Management • Combination Editing by Transaction Source • Financials Integration to Hyperion Financial Close Management • General Ledger Integration to Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub

The following enhancements are added to improve automation of controls and support for audit and regulatory requirements:

• Balance Sheet Valuation through Settlement Date • Business Request and Approval • Government-wide Treasury Accounting Symbol (GTAS) Adjusted Trial Balance System • Mass GL Journal Approval • Enhanced Approvals for GL Journals • Transform GL Journal Post to Application Engine • Commitment Control Enhancements (Expense Analysis & Control)

Adjustment Period Option for Average Daily Balances (ADB) The automatic recognition of adjustments to the proper ADB period is critical to daily balance accuracy and visibility. PeopleSoft General Ledger has long provided customers the ability to automatically maintain average balances for specific periods or ad-hoc periods. PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 provides the ability to associate adjustment periods that correlate with the regular accounting periods, making it easier to identify adjustments that have been applied in the average balances. This functionality provides an option that defines whether to post adjustment journal entries to the ADB Ledgers using an adjustment period or a regular accounting period that is derived from the ADB calendar.

Journal Post Options page

The Post Adjustment Periods to ADB option defines whether to post adjustment journal entries to the ADB ledgers using an adjustment period (as defined for the ledger group) or using a regular accounting period that is derived from the ADB calendar. Options are as follows: • Selected - (default) Select to post adjustment balances to the ADB ledgers with the same

adjustment periods that are used in the detail ledger posting as defined on the Update Open Periods page (for example, 901, 902, and so on). There is an option on the ADB definition to include the adjustment periods in the calculated ADB balances as of the last or first day of the balance period.

• Deselected - Deselect this check box to post adjustment balances to the ADB ledgers using a regular accounting period as derived from the ADB calendar (for example, 01, 02, and so on). This is typically a daily accounting period.

Separate Debit/Credit Visibility When you enable the Separate DR/CR Amount Fields option on the Ledgers for a Unit - Definition page for a detail ledger, amounts appear in the separate debit and credit for both Foreign Amount and Base Amount fields. Prior to PeopleSoft 9.2, this functionality required customizations to the records to accommodate the storage of separate debit and credit balances. PeopleSoft 9.2 now automatically performs the required table modifications that are necessary when you enable the functionality, without any customization required of the user.

Financial T-Accounts Visibility PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 provides the T-Account capability that allows you to check the effect of a particular line or set of same ChartField combination lines on the relevant balance directly from the Journal Lines page:

Incremental Update for Hyperion Essbase Ledger Cube Hyperion Essbase is a three dimensional reporting tool that has been integrated to the PeopleSoft metadata through Cube Builder and a ledger template has been provided for 9.1. General Ledger 9.2 expands this integration by providing for the incremental update of the Essbase ledger cube. This provides efficiency and value in that material transactions can be recognized in the cube results without having to build the cube from scratch.

You use PeopleTools Cube Builder to initially build Essbase cubes:

• Load cube metadata using Trees/dimension queries. • Load incremental metadata from updated Trees/dimension queries. • Load transaction data. • Load incremental transaction data, adding appropriate criteria (date time stamp) in the query. PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 provides the following:

• Essbase Load Setup Options page to define parameters for loading transaction data. • Incremental transaction data load through regular Journal Posting process. • Essbase Load Request page to load transaction data incrementally or reload transactions. • Recurring process can be scheduled for incremental load using parameters from the Essbase Load

Setup page and log file.

General Ledger to Hyperion Planning Integration Hyperion Planning is a budgeting toolset that customers utilize to plan, create, and execute for organization budgets. PeopleSoft General Ledger integrates with Hyperion Planning where actual data is integrated to Hyperion Planning. Finalized budgets are integrated back to PeopleSoft General Ledger through a newly created accounting entry table. Standard budget journals are created and processed through the ledger flows for budget to actual comparisons.

General Ledger WorkCenter PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 introduces the General Ledger WorkCenter to provide the accounting and finance users with a centralized work area in order to complete their financial and control tasks efficiently with reduced navigation. Key components of the General Ledger WorkCenter include:

• My Work – This pre-seeded pagelet gives Accounting and Finance users the visibility into the most critical pieces of their job. Users know exactly what they should be working on at any time. This pagelet divides a user’s work into the following categories:

Current Work – provides users with control tasks requiring attention such as Reconciliations pending approval and ChartField requests pending approval. Additionally, links are provided to tasks such as journals ready for processing, journals saved as incomplete, journals pending approval, journals approaching period end, and more.

Exceptions – provides users with alerts that link to journals in error with separate pagelets for journals with edit errors, journals with balance errors, journals with control total errors, journals in suspense, Commitment Control exceptions, and budget journal exceptions.

• Links – This pagelet includes links to the most important components that each functional user access most often. This pagelet can be personalized to include any internal or external links. These can include Tree Manager, Open Period Update, Ledger Inquiry, Journal Post, Process Monitor, Define ChartField Values, and so on. These are limited by a user’s security access.

• Queries – This pagelet includes access to query manager and any public or private queries based on a user’s security access. The query output can be viewed in the transaction area. The new Pivot Grid output for PS Query can also be accessed through this framework.

• Reports and Processes – This pagelet includes access to key processes and reports that a user accesses often. Processes can include Create Account Reconciliation, Request Allocation, Build Summary Ledger, and so on, Reports can be classified by category and include journal reports, trial balance, subsystem reconciliation reports, Reconciliation by ChartField, and so on, Users can also view the PeopleTools Reporting Console if they have appropriate security access.

Improved General Ledger to Sub-System Reconciliation In General Ledger 9.1, PeopleSoft provided enhancements to the Subsystem Reconciliation function to support a more efficient, online and automated balancing of the ledger to the PeopleSoft sub-ledgers. In addition, a drilldown of the un-posted transactions in PeopleSoft Payables and Receivables was also provided for additional visibility and operational management.

PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 expands the drilldown into unposted transactions from other PeopleSoft subledgers such as Billing, Treasury, and Expenses. Customers are able to identify what has not been processed and possibly identify bottlenecks ahead of the period close.

Account Reconciliation Management PeopleSoft’s Account Reconciliation provides a flexible tool by which to configure and manage the account reconciliation process. It streamlines and accelerates the reconciliation of accounts to be performed for each accounting period so that organizations can identify and correct errors in a timely manner in preparation for audits and external filings.

The PeopleSoft Account Reconciliation functionality enables you to:

• Identify specific ChartField combinations to be reconciled. • Assign reconciliation responsibility to individual or groups of ChartField combinations. • Allow each user to see the reconciliations for which they are responsible. • Sign-off (and mass signoff) to indicate that a ChartField combination has been reconciled. • Review overall status of reconciliation activities. • Capture and retain documentation associated with reconciliation. • Define approval workflow.

Combination Editing by Transaction Source To increase process efficiency and performance, PeopleSoft Financials 9.2 provides the ability to perform combination editing for a process group by transaction source. Users can associate a Transaction Source with a process group so that during combination edit processing, only the data for the designated transaction source is processed for that group of rules rather than processing all data for all sources.

PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 continues its efforts to enhance Combination Editing by enabling customers to select the Combination Editing groups they want to apply to the sources for validation. Customers can continue to use Combination Editing as-is and apply all the rules to all of the sources. They can alternatively apply all the rules in GL processing but tailor their use in the transactional flows.

When you associate the combination edit groups (process groups) to a specific Business Unit and Ledger Group on the Ledgers For A Unit – Journal Edit Options page, you can specify a transaction source to apply to certain process groups:

Transaction Source Option – Select the Specific Transaction Source option to specify the transaction source (or sources) of the transactions to be edited by the combination edit process. This option increases processing efficiency by validating only those transactions with sources that are applicable for the rules defined in the process group. When selected, a Transaction Source link appears where you can select specific transaction sources to apply to that process group:

Transaction Source options

If you do not select a specific transaction source for a process group, the combination edit process will apply the combination rules of that process group to all transactions.

PeopleSoft Financials Integration to Hyperion Financial Close Management The Hyperion Close Manager enables the management of tasks that may be accomplished in multiple systems. PeopleSoft Financials/SCM release 9.2 integrates PeopleSoft Financials to Hyperion Financial Close Management. The integration enables PeopleSoft users to leverage the Hyperion Financial Close functionality while seamlessly moving between the two systems with the proper security validations. Hyperion Financial Close Management centralizes the management of period-end close activities with dashboards that deliver enhanced visibility and execution capability.

PeopleSoft Financial Management System (FMS) Integration with Oracle Hyperion Financial Close Management Solution (Oracle Support Document 1301047.1)

General Ledger Integration to Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 enables the integration of GL Journals to the Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub. PeopleSoft users can take advantage of Fusion Accounting Hub capabilities, such as the embedded Hyperion Essbase features, as well as Oracle Transaction Business Intelligence which allows for business user driven operational reporting. This integration also includes an initial load of ChartField values from PeopleSoft to the Fusion Accounting Hub. PeopleSoft General Ledger to Fusion Accounting Hub Integration (Oracle Support Document 1365971.1)

Balance Sheet Valuation through Settlement Date To facilitate compliance with International Accounting Standards (IAS), PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 captures and reports on multiple dates for single transactions, such as trade date and settlement date.

Typically, general ledger transactions capture a single date, which is used to determine the appropriate accounting period for posting to the ledger. This date is usually the accounting date from source systems and most often uses the trade date. International accounting standards require that the settlement date be captured as well, and that the ledger be viewable on this basis.

PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 delivers the following functionality to meet these requirements:

• A Date Code Mapping page directs the posting of settlement date, journal date, and ADB date. • Journal lines include a date code to capture journal date (trade date), settlement date, and ADB

date. • Accounting Entry Definition includes mapping of settlement date from source system. • Spreadsheet journals and flat file import include date code adjustments. • Journal and Ledger inquiries include date code adjustment filter.

Business Request and Approval PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 introduces the Business Request and Approval process for managing requests regarding updates to control data. This new capability enables each organization to choose the data elements from the financial system that they want included in the request. Further, customers can include relevant questions, require comments and include their own new data elements that will help to justify or support the requested change.

Business Request and Approval is a configurable workflow process for requesting the setup of set ID-driven field values for such fields as ChartFields. You can request additions or modifications to field values and submit for approval. Upon final approval, the process saves the new or modified field value to the corresponding base tables and provides an audit trail of the setup and approval of these values.

1. Set up Business Request to enable the field or fields to be used in the request-approval process.

2. Set up the Business Request Template to define business justification and trees, for example.

3. Configure the Approval Workflow.

4. Define and use the ChartField Request and Approval.

5. Inquire on Business Request.

Additionally, you can request the change to be reflected in PeopleSoft Trees. Once the approvals are complete, the system automatically changes the control tables that hold the chart of account values, for example. PeopleSoft Trees are updated for additions but none will be removed. The system also tracks the effective date of the request and the updated ChartField via the setID. Customers can add, change, inactivate or reactivate a ChartField value.

Government-wide Treasury Accounting Symbol (GTAS) Adjusted Trial Balance System The Government-wide Treasury Account Symbol Adjusted Trial Balance System (GTAS) is a system used by agencies to report budget execution information and proprietary financial reporting information to the Department of the Treasury. The new functionality includes:

• Updated inbound interface and inquiry page to support the SMAF (Super Master Account File, replaces FACTS I and FACTS II MAF) for GTAS data. Note that both FACTS and GTAS are available for use until GTAS is live.

• Modified attribute functionality to support new GTAS attributes. • GTAS Ledger Attributes to meet GTAS requirements (replaces Miscellaneous ChartFields). • New GTAS Attributes Exceptions component to map attributes and values to ChartField

combinations. • Update the FACTS Tree Group to accommodate the GTAS trees. • Translation trees to enable agencies to continue to use 4-digit accounts, if desired. • Updated GTAS program to load staging tables with ledger data and associated attributes. • New component to handle GTAS edits and validations (PeopleSoft delivers eight sample queries

but agencies can create their own supporting queries.) • Update the FACTS II create file program to create the GTAS bulk file. • Update the Ledger with Attributes report to accommodate GTAS functionality. • New program to perform GTAS edits and validations as defined by agencies. • New GTAS workbench component to view GTAS staged data. • New Attribute Assignment page to view origin of ALL GTAS attributes.

Benefits of the new functionality include: • Interfaces to a single data collection system for both budgetary and proprietary trial balance

reporting. • GTAS does not require implementation of the Separate Debit and Credit feature. • Each Treasury Account Symbol can be assigned to multiple funds. • Ability to continue to use agency defined USSGL accounts instead of converting to 6-digit USSGL

accounts. • Ability to run GTAS edits and validations prior to uploading your file to GTAS. • Ability to define attributes by ChartField combinations.

Mass GL Journal Approval PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 introduces GL Mass Approval, a new capability to approve more than one journal at a time. Users are able to view and take appropriate action against all journals in their queue and they see only those lines whose business unit they have access to. Customers are also able to add attachments, comments and ad-hoc approvers to any one or all journals awaiting approval. Users and managers are able to see the graphical flow so they know the status of each transaction. Users can deny, approve or return any or all transactions.

Enhanced Approvals for GL Journals PeopleSoft Financials/SCM 9.1 extends the use of the Approval Framework within the Financials/SCM applications to allow for flexibility in configuration. PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 takes advantage of Approval Workflow capabilities for the Journal flow to meet increasing business control requirements. The following are enhancements that will be enabled for General Ledger journals.

• Ability to add an ad-hoc approver during the workflow cycle.

• Ability to add comments and attachments to a transaction during the workflow cycle.

Transform GL Journal Post to Application Engine PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 converted the GL Posting module to a PeopleSoft Application Engine process to improve performance and provide a more up-to-date technology platform.

Commitment Control Enhancements (Expense Analysis & Control) Commitment Control continues to offer opportunities for additional savings and enhanced management of funds. The enhancements include:

Alternate Description for Commitment Control Budget Journals Customers require additional data elements to provide more information on what the budget transactions pertains to. PeopleSoft Commitment Control 9.2 offers an additional description data element for Commitment Control budget journals.

PO Rollover Improvements PeopleSoft PO Rollover is a tool that allows all outstanding purchase order transactions to continue into the next budget period when using Commitment Control. When performing year-end processing, users can roll only POs that meet specific criteria (for example, only a specific department or only if a project ChartField is populated). PeopleSoft Purchasing 9.2 suppresses the creation of new distribution lines if the line does not meet the particular roll criteria. Eliminating the extraneous lines makes it easier for organizations to view and analyze their rollover results.

Release 9.1 introduces the flexibility for users to filter purchase orders to roll based on specific values and qualifiers for ChartFields. The search criteria fields were expanded to select purchase orders for which a specific ChartField value is populated, regardless of the value. PeopleSoft Purchasing 9.2 includes a new qualifier, Is Not Empty, in the filters for all ChartField fields in the Request PO Rollview page.

Payables 9.2 PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 offers customers the tools to monitor, control, take action, increase visibility into their expenses, and streamline the data entry process. PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 provides the following enhancements:

PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 delivers a manager-facing Accounts Payable Dashboard, which focuses on providing summary level details and supporting analytics encompassing the invoices flow within an organization. The Accounts Payable Dashboard provides access to key information and real-time analytics such as top payables suppliers by expenditure, discounts taken versus lost, past due aging, scheduled due aging, liability exposure by supplier, and invoice amounts by status with detail transaction drill-down capabilities.

Supplier Hierarchy PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 introduces the Supplier Hierarchy, leveraging the existing parent/child relationship functionality of the supplier while adding a graphical representation of the supplier relationship within the group as well as a rollup of the supplier exposure. Users can see supplier information such as open liability, balance over due, schedules to be paid, total spend by item, aging balance, purchase order contract amount, recurring voucher amount, and contract spend amount. Highly configurable hierarchy nodes allow rollup displays based on organizational needs. Users may also to take actions from that page.

Example: Supplier Hierarchy

Matching Exceptions Analysis PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 delivers Matching Exceptions Analysis to streamline the Invoice-to-Pay process by providing visibility into the invoice matching history for better supplier, buyer, and rules analysis. The matching history data is useful for supplier contract negotiations and minimizes matching errors. The system stores all the exceptions from the previous matching process. The matching history helps users to reduce the time to fix errors. Finally, since errors are identified as internal or external, users are positioned to offer buyer support when necessary in order to reduce repetitive errors as well as to provide critical information to buyers when renegotiating contracts with suppliers. The archiving of the matching history is included in the current invoice archiving templates.

Support of Global Location Numbers (GLN) for Healthcare GLNs are unique identifier numbers for business locations in the Healthcare supply chain. A purchasing organization and its suppliers identify all their business locations with a GLN in their business-to-business transactions. The industry initiative is mainly targeted to reduce errors in communication between business trading partners. PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 expands visibility of GLN in the areas of supplier control data, supplier inquiry pages, and payments.

Payables WorkCenter PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 introduces the WorkCenter to accelerate the rate at which users can accomplish their day-to-day jobs. The goal of the WorkCenter is to consolidate and centralize access to relevant data and to allow the organization to serve up the work that needs to be completed by the user community. Key components of the Accounts Payable WorkCenter include:

• My Work - This pre-seeded pagelet gives payable users visibility into the most critical pieces of their job. Users know exactly what they should be working on at a given time, including managing approvals and exceptions for vouchers and payments. This pagelet includes three areas of work: voucher, payments and suppliers. The voucher section includes voucher-related tasks status such as voucher exceptions and matching errors. The payment section includes payments-related tasks status such as schedule payments on hold and pay cycle manager. The supplier section includes supplier approval. Each task has its own set of related actions that can be taken on one or multiple transactions.

• My Links - This pre-seeded pagelet enables payables users to navigate to key components of the application. Organizations can personalize the pagelet to include additional internal or external links as well as new categories.

• Queries - This pagelet includes access to query manager and any public or private queries that the user has access to. Query output can be viewed in the transaction area.

• Reports and Processes - This pagelet includes access to key processes and reports that users need to execute and have access to. Users can also view the PeopleTools Reporting Console if they have appropriate security access.

Example: Accounts Payable WorkCenter - Match Workbench

Simplified User Interface for Invoice Entry PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 delivers a Simplified User Interface for Invoice Entry to improve visibility through usability which reduces time to create transactions.

Prerelease Notes PeopleSoft FMS, ALM, SRM, and SCM Release 9.2 Prerelease Notes September 2012

• Ability to view grouping of amount fields on the regular invoice entry page, such as total invoice lines, currency, miscellaneous, freight, sales tax, and entered VAT.

• Ability to see the PO number and line number associated at the invoice line level without having to drill for it.

• Ability to enter packing slips at the line level to provide more flexibility to track it.

• Ability to search on additional data elements on the invoice creation page. The data elements “supplier name” and “additional name” will be added. This addition will reduce the number of clicks.

The enhancements to reduce transaction creation time include:

• Ability to see a new running where the system automatically calculates the difference between the total amount and the voucher lines amount.

• Ability to save invoices as incomplete and work on them later, thus providing easier data entry. A voucher saved as incomplete will not be eligible for budget checking, matching, posting, or payment.

• Ability for the user to copy ChartField data from one line to another line in a voucher, providing more flexibility in the data entry process. This new functionality allows the user to copy, hide, and unhide certain data elements.

• Ability to set up a minimum amount per payment method or pay cycle; thus reducing bank fees and making the reconciliation process more efficient.

• Ability for the user to add PO BU and PO ID within the Voucher Add search page providing easier data entry.

• Ability to define a SpeedChart at the supplier location level which is provided by default to the invoice.

• Ability to enter the remit bank and payment information in the Excel upload thus reducing the need to touch the invoice in the entry component.

Extension of FMS Auto Pilot To provide organizations with greater processing flexibility and efficiency, PeopleSoft Financials/SCM introduced the FMS Auto Pilot in release 8.8 in Project Costing and extended its use in General Ledger 8.9. PeopleSoft Accounts Payables 9.2 leverages the FMS Auto Pilot in Payables processing for voucher build, matching, voucher posting, and payment posting. The FMS Auto Pilot can be set up to run a process based on the number of transactions that are ready for processing rather than just on a scheduled basis.

Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TIN) Validation To streamline the TIN validation process and reduce the cost of the control requirement, PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 automates the validation of the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 enables users to automatically generate the file to match with the Internal Revenue Service. Users can leverage the IRS bulk validation process of the TINs number by providing a file to the IRS website. When the IRS validation process is complete, the users are able to load and automatically update the matching status in the supplier records. If the TINs do not match, the user is able to email all unmatched suppliers to the IRS, requesting a W9 to check the TIN.

Supplier Onboarding and Enablement PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 streamlines your procurement process by using automated sourcing of requisitions, workflow approvals, exception-based workflow notifications, and electronic commerce. For more information regarding these enhancements, see Supplier Onboarding & Collaboration.

Financial Audit Trail for Suppliers PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 introduced the Financials Audit Framework, which provides efficient tracking and auditing of transaction processing that result in visibility while managing system resources usage. PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 extends the use of the Financial Audit Trail to the supplier. By providing an audit trail, customers have increased accountability and are able to present to auditors a complete audit history of who made changes to the supplier master and when those changes were made. The setup of the Audit Framework allows organizations to identify the fields on the supplier master for tracking. The changes to the supplier will be stored in the audit trail framework. The audit trail will capture the user, the date/time, and the actual change.

Approval Framework Extensions and Enhancements PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 enhances the Approval Framework capabilities available to users. From the Mass Voucher Approval component, users can return invoices and view invoices after final approval or denial. Users can, through an option, re-submit a voucher or allow a voucher to be saved and submitted later. Users can re-approve an invoice if the remit supplier is changed on a previously approved voucher. The approver can assign additional approvers and reviewers on an ad hoc basis during the approval process. Additionally, the approver can add comments without taking any action on the approval page or he can add attachments.

Oracle Governance, Risk, and Compliance Integration with Procure-to-Pay Oracle Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance Manager (Enterprise GRC Manager) provides common process and content foundation to facilitate the holistic management of GRC programs while still addressing individual requirements with natively built modules. This unified approach promotes overall insight, shared practices, reuse, efficiency, and cost savings. PeopleSoft 9.2 Procure-to-Pay extends the integration to Oracle Transaction Controls Governor by delivering templates (suppliers, payments, and vouchers) that expand fraud detection and control.

Receivables Integration Interunit and Intraunit billing is used across several organizations to bill for services and equipment within and across GL business units. Vouchers are created for the Payables business unit by the voucher post process and are eventually paid through Payables PayCycle. Companies can close the Receivables open items when the payment is being processed through an internal bank for an accurate report of receivables. Enhancing this integration allows closing a large volume of AR open items and eliminates any manual workarounds required for reporting. PeopleSoft 9.2 allows closing the Receivables open item automatically when the voucher is paid through Payables. The enhancement also creates consistent accounting entries across the three products. The netting account functionality is extended to allow a deposit to be created for payments from PeopleSoft Payables.

Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection System The Intra-Governmental Payment and Collection (IPAC) System transfers funds and transaction-related information between federal government agencies. Several Government Wide Accounting (GWA) initiatives are underway that necessitated changes, including updates to the IPAC bulk file layouts that support Treasury Account Symbols (TAS), 27-character Sender TAS, and Receiver TAS fields and Business Event Codes (BETC). PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 supports the new IPAC bulk format for the new TAS component structure and BETC, PeopleSoft also includes logic to provide the Sender and Receiver BETC codes by default to the IPAC transactions. PeopleSoft updates Payables for the new Secure Payment System (SPS) Federal payment formats for GWA reporters to report the new TAS component structure and BETC.

Improved Integration with Asset Management PeopleSoft Purchasing and Procurement 9.2 introduces functionality to allow requesters and buyers to group requisition and purchase order lines that correspond to a single asset so that when Purchasing determines that the receipt of a procurement group sequence is complete, an asset is created automatically in PeopleSoft Asset Management. With procurement groups, organizations can both simplify and gain flexibility in terms of how they manage capitalization. Debit and credit memos may be issued to adjust the cost of one or multiple assets created as a result of unitization. To eliminate manual steps for allocating cost adjustments, a work page is part of the adjustment voucher to permit drill down to the asset or assets created from the original voucher. E-mail notification of asset-applicable credit memos provides accountants with improved visibility to credit transactions that may require further review or action. Lastly, Procurement item descriptions often exceed 30 characters so PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 expands the asset description field in the voucher and pass through to Asset Management.

Attachments PeopleSoft Financials 9.1 provided customers with a framework to enable viewing supporting documentation from the same location as financial transactions themselves. PeopleSoft Payables 9.2 extends the attachments capability as follows:

• Supplier - The user can attach a document at the header and at the supplier location in the supplier component.

• Voucher - The user can load attachments at the header. • Quick Invoice - The user can attach documents and create comments to the Quick Invoice

entry page at the header level. • Voucher Inquiry - The user can access the attachments and comments from the Voucher

Inquiry page. It allows the user, with a minimum number of clicks, to drill down to the invoice transaction which saves time.

Support for Contracts in Collections PeopleSoft Receivables 9.2 extends the support for contracts and projects on the Collections Workbench by providing additional search capabilities and showing customer balances by contracts and projects. Users can search for Receivables open item balances by contract, billing specialist, and billing authority and view balances by contract and contract line. Additionally, the Collections Workbench shows all projects tied to an open item balance within a contract or contract line.

Example: Contracts Tab on the Collections Workbench

Consistent Conversations PeopleSoft 9.2 enhanced the conversations feature with additional capabilities and tighter integration with eBill Payment. The new capabilities are summarized as follows:

• eBill Payment changes:

The self-service Contact Us note is linked to an invoice number. This allows users to search for conversations related to specific invoices.

Users are able to view the invoice image while entering a Contact Us conversation, which will allows them to compare online invoice amounts to invoice copies they already have.

eBill Payment customers will be notified when their conversation is updated and marked visible to external users, which keeps them accurately informed of all changes.

• Receivables changes:

An alert to internal users is triggered when a self-service Contact Us note is entered in eBill Payment with a link to the conversation updating them of a possible dispute or a customer question.

Both Receivables users and external users can search conversations by subject and topic.

When conversation review is done and the action is complete, it is marked complete in the action owner list.

Receivables Direct Journals to Project Costing Integration Enhancing the Receivables to Project Costing integration includes direct journals which allow for accurate reporting and reflect a much more complete expense and revenue picture. PeopleSoft Receivables 9.2 extends the AR to PC integration by interfacing AR direct journals to Project Costing. The interface process was modified to pick up direct journals from Receivables. Users are able to specify an analysis type while entering the direct journal which makes AR direct journal integration to PC consistent with other subsystems and also increases the value of the data in Project Costing by making the system more comprehensive.

Receivables WorkCenter PeopleSoft Receivables 9.2 features the Receivables WorkCenter which is a centralized workspace for Receivables users that manages cash application, payment receipt, and other accounts receivable tasks.

PeopleSoft 9.2 WorkCenters are built on the PeopleTools WorkCenter framework and the 9.2 Common Applications Framework. Key components of the Receivables WorkCenter include:

• My Work – This pre-seeded pagelet gives Receivables users visibility into the most critical pieces of their job. Users know exactly what they should be working on at a given time, including items and payments, system-generated alerts, and processing exceptions. This pagelet divides a user’s work into the following categories:

Alerts – includes user tasks such as owner action list, pending write-off approvals, conversations that have to be reviewed, and other items generated through the worklist.

Items – includes item-related tasks such as pending item groups to post, open items, maintenance worksheets to post, and transfer worksheets to post. Each task has corresponding related actions that the user can take on selected items, including Post and delete worksheet.

Payments – includes payment-related tasks such as express deposits to post, incomplete payments, payments to post, and credit card payments to post. Each task has its own set of related actions that can be taken on multiple payments or deposits.

Interfaces to process – this group includes interfaces such as bills, Excel uploads, and refunds that need to be processed.

Exceptions – includes posting exceptions, deposit errors, and commitment control exceptions.

• My Links – This pre-seeded pagelet allows receivables users to navigate to key components of the Receivables application, such as customer account, item entry, and payment entry. Users can personalize this pagelet to include additional internal or external links.

• Queries – This pagelet includes access to Query Manager and any public or private queries to which the user has access. The query output can be viewed in the transaction area. The new Pivot Grid output for PS Queries can be accessed through this framework.

• Reports and Processes – This pagelet includes access to key processes and reports that the user needs to execute and for which he has security access. Users can also view the PeopleTools Reporting Console if they have appropriate security access.

Payables and Receivables Integration for Interunit Billing Enhancing the integration between Payables and Receivables for interunit billing allows users to close a large volume of Receivables open items and eliminates any manual workarounds required for reporting. PeopleSoft 9.2 allows closing the Receivables open item automatically when the voucher is paid through Payables by an internal bank. The enhancement also creates consistent accounting entries across the three products. The netting account functionality was extended to allow for a deposit to be created for payments from PeopleSoft Payables.

Payment Interface page

Maintenance Worksheet Enhancements PeopleSoft Receivables 9.2 enhances the open item maintenance processes by allowing users to sort the maintenance worksheet by absolute value of the item balance column so users can quickly find related credit and debit items. The maintenance worksheet also includes additional search criteria—use due date to/from—to search for items, display supplier address sequence number on the maintenance worksheet for sending refunds, and run the refund process for multiple business units.

Aging and Dunning Enhancements PeopleSoft Receivables 9.2 includes several enhancements in the area of aging reports and dunning letters.. Users are able to categorize doubtful items during the aging process similar to items in dispute, deduction, or collection. Customers who use interunit billing are able to exclude interunit customers from aging reports. Higher education and professional services customers review aging primarily by contract number and are able to run dunning reports and customer statements by contract number. A new system data parameter that can be used to generate aging, customer statements, and overdue charges enables users to set recurrence for processes and have them run for the current date without any user intervention.

Condition Monitor Enhancements PeopleSoft Receivables 9.2 enhances the Condition Monitor to generate a welcome call action for collectors to follow up with new and recently active customers. Condition Monitor was also enhanced to create an action list for the assessment rule user from item rather than always from customer. The functionality was made consistent between system-completed actions and user-completed actions; the action will not be generated again if it has been marked as complete by a user.

Integration with PeopleSoft Pension Administration PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 provides an integration between PeopleSoft Pension Administration and Receivables by providing a service purchase plan which allows members to buy service credit based upon rules defined by the plan and type of service. Employees pay the contributions and interest that the plan would have collected if they had been working and contributing during a non-working time. Pension Administration triggers the creation of open items in Receivables for each of a series of service purchase transactions or a single transaction. The service purchase can be canceled in Pensions in which case a refund process would be initiated in Receivables.

This diagram shows how Receivables integrates with HCM to support Pension Service Purchase plans.

Approval Framework Improvements & Extensions PeopleSoft Receivables 9.2 takes further advantage of Approval Framework capabilities that were added in release 9.1 for the write-off flow to meet increasing business control requirements. The following are enhancements that are enabled for Receivables write-offs:

• Ability to add an ad hoc approver during the workflow cycle.

• Ability to add comments and attachments to a transaction during the workflow cycle.

Item Level Attachments PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 extends the attachments capability for online pending items. Users are able to view item-level attachments through the payment, maintenance, credit card, and draft worksheets. Users are also able to view billing invoice attachments from Receivables for open items that were created through Billing and to access them in the various worksheets.

Partial Payment Unpost PeopleSoft Accounts Receivable 9.2 plans to allow users to partially unpost payments. The newly designed Payment Unpost process provides a Partial Unpost option. The original payment group will be unposted as normal. In addition, the user is immediately presented with a Partial Unpost Worksheet with all the original payment applications from the payment group. At that point, the user can deselect one or more items from this payment application page, effectively unposting those items. They can add new items and perform other transactions to rebalance the payment application. The new payment group, from the original payment, will then be ready to post.

SpeedCharts are available at the header or line level. At the header level, the ChartFields distribution will apply to all lines. At the line level, each line has its own ChartFields distribution.

Invoice Pre-Validation PeopleSoft eSettlements 9.2 introduces a step in the automation flow of performing invoice pre-validation enabling higher levels of touchless straight-through processing. Pre-validation of invoices is accomplished before creating vouchers in the system. Some examples of data validation include: duplicate invoice checking, invalid purchase order ID, blank Supplier item ID, PO has been totally invoiced, no further invoicing available, and so on.

Approval Framework Extensions and Improvements PeopleSoft eSettlements 9.1 adopted the Approval Framework for vouchers at the header level. PeopleSoft eSettlements 9.2 continues its investment in the Approval Framework solution to support line level approvals. Line-level approvals enable customers’ approvers to easily manage invoice lines directly related to their purchases. Customers can designate particular users in their organization and enable them to approve and dispute individual invoice lines. Line-level routing and approval will occur in parallel with header-level routing. If both are active, the two are mutually exclusive. All lines of an invoice must be approved before an invoice is paid.

Agreements Enhancement PeopleSoft eSettlements 9.2 facilitates the collaboration with suppliers and simplifies the agreement process. Users can use an agreement as a template and select a group of buyers valid for a particular agreement template. Once the user has finalized the agreement, the system will clone the agreement as a template and automatically create individual agreements between the supplier and the selected buyers.

Treasury and Cash Management 9.2 PeopleSoft Treasury and Cash Management 9.2 deliver enhancements that allow cash and treasury operations to improve visibility into the current cash position as well as forecasted positions across the enterprise. The integration with Global Payroll makes it possible to access the payroll amounts directly in the enterprise as well. Treasury Management 9.2 presents the following features:

• Cash Forecasting • Integration with Global Payroll • Principal Prepayments for Swaps and Interest-Bearing Instruments • Multicurrency Accounting

Further enhancements will be added to improve automation of controls and support for audit requirements:

Cash Forecasting Cash managers need to know their cash funding needs days if not weeks in advance from a forecast perspective. PeopleSoft Cash Management 9.2 improves its cash position capabilities by using the Cash Forecast Worksheet, which you configure to bring in data from the various transactions to give an accurate representation of outgoing payments and incoming receipts. This feature also adds flexibility to searching and viewing the Cash Forecast Results.

The Cash Forecasting feature introduces new setup, results, and reports pages, including the Cash Forecasting Results page shown here.

The Cash Forecasting enhancements include:

• Flexible worksheet functionality. Cash forecasting worksheet functionality enables you to manage position worksheets (rather than trees), create intraday bank reporting worksheets, manually create cash position worksheet (CPW) data, and generate Cash Management position reports.

• Streamlined cash position setup with added functionality. The new cash position setup pages include the ability to define variance levels that will show alerts or warnings on the results page, configure drill-down functionality for viewing source transactions on the results page without navigating through the menu, import cash position data from outside sources. You can also customize several dimensions in addition to the system-defined dimensions for viewing the cash position, and select multiple position currencies.

• Interactive cash forecast results. The Cash Forecast Results page enables cash managers to view the cash position in several dimensions, such as bank, bank account, currency, business unit, and several more that you can configure during setup; drill down to source transactions; and show non-cash flow line items in the results presentation. In addition, you can initiate bank transfers and schedule a cash sweep directly from the new page. Cash forecasting results presentation uses the new PeopleTools charting as follows: A trend analysis graph depicts the cash movement over a period of time, and a pie chart shows distribution. You can create and save cash position searches available across users in the system.

Integration of Global Payroll with Financial Gateway PeopleSoft Financial Gateway already supports the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) formats for payments in Financials. To further support SEPA payment formats, PeopleSoft Global Payroll and Financials work together to send euro zone payments through Financial Gateway. PeopleSoft Global Payroll 9.2 and PeopleSoft Cash Management 9.2 integrate to leverage several of the Financial Gateway’s features, such as direct, secure communication to the bank; a complete payment lifecycle view; as well as acknowledgement updates from the bank back to the underlying transaction in Global Payroll.

Principal Prepayments for Swaps and Interest-Bearing Instruments PeopleSoft Deal Management 9.2 allows multiple prepayment changes to be made to an existing deal. Each change is tracked in a detailed audit report. Interest Rates and Margins are updated for a range of interest periods, rather than data entry per period. The Interest Dates and Payments page, which is used to view the payment schedules, rate information, and prepayments, was redesigned to improve its usability with the addition of these new capabilities.

Multicurrency Accounting PeopleSoft Cash Management 9.2 automates accounting calculations to accurately calculate the incurred gain or loss due to exchange rate impact. The system defaults and then allows the user to override the market rates at the time of the inception of the deal through its sale or maturity. The subsequent gain or loss is automatically calculated by the accounting engine and reported in the corresponding accounting entry.

SEPA Payment Formats PeopleSoft Cash Management supports Rulebook 4.0 for all payments sent through its Financial Gateway. In addition to supporting the newer version, intermediary information, category purpose, and additional information was added to these standardized payment formats.

Accounting Entry Reversal Errors are sometimes not identified until accounting entries have already been booked to the General Ledger. PeopleSoft Cash Management 9.2 introduces a new capability that allows users to reverse their accounting entries. Accounting entries can be reversed once by several criteria including Accounting Entry Number, Payment ID, and Accounting Source.

Maintenance Management 9.2 In PeopleSoft Maintenance Management 9.2, Oracle will deliver the following enhancements:

• Easy-to-Use Work Orders • Administration of Preventive Maintenance • Visualization and Multi-Dimensional Work Order Analysis • Labor Visibility • Maintenance Notifications • SES Enhancements • BI Publisher Reports • Work Order and Item Control • Inventory Allocation • Approval Framework for Preventive Maintenance Schedules

Easy-to-Use Work Orders Work order completion usability enhancements help streamline data entry and accelerate the process of capturing work order information. Oracle PeopleSoft added these enhancements:

• To prevent unnecessary data entry and improve accuracy, work order task labor actuals can be copied to the task header actuals and actuals entered for the task header can be copied to the task labor rows.

• Output destination options were added to the Work Order Task Detail Report Options page to decrease the number of clicks to control where work orders print.

• If a task status is changed to Complete and labor actuals have been entered but not yet submitted for posting to PeopleSoft Project Costing, a message appears and prompts users to indicate whether the labor actuals should be submitted for posting.

Administration of Preventive Maintenance PeopleSoft Maintenance Management 9.2 will offer the following preventive maintenance enhancements:

On Demand (one-time) Preventive Maintenance Schedules A date-based preventive maintenance schedule type of On Demand enables maintenance planners to identify, select, and generate on-demand preventive maintenance work orders as necessary.

Blackout Days of the Week Blackout days of the week may apply to preventive maintenance events. A Calendar field was added to the Preventive Maintenance Schedule, Location Schedule, and Maintenance Loop to permit flexible configuration of blackout days of the week. For example, an organization might indicate that preventive maintenance can be scheduled to occur monthly but can never be performed on a Saturday.

Preventive Maintenance Work Orders based on the Meter Reading as of the Date of the Prior Work order Completion Oracle’s PeopleSoft enhanced Preventive Maintenance Linking by Cycle to generate preventive maintenance work orders based on the meter reading as of the date of the prior work order’s completion.

Visualization and Multi-Dimensional Work Order Analysis In PeopleSoft 9.2, integration with ESRI ArcGIS Online enables the display of assets and work orders on a map to facilitate work planning. PeopleSoft Maintenance Management 9.2 also provides new visual interfaces to help maintenance organizations visualize related work orders, work order tasks, and the asset component hierarchy, and analyze parent-child work order costs before further analysis.

PeopleSoft displays embedded maps and assets can be viewed on a map from the Basic Add, the Work Order, and the new Asset Map Dashboard components, while work orders are visible on a map using the Work Order and Technician Workbenches. Hyperlinks to create an express work order are available when viewing assets on a map from Basic Add and the Asset Map Dashboard. (The ArcGIS JavaScript API is owned by ESRI and is used subject to the Terms of Use found at http://www.esri.com/legal/licensing/software-license.html.)

The new visual interfaces can display relationships among work orders and assets plus key balances (such as planned and actual maintenance costs), and navigation links enable maintenance managers to take action quickly.

Labor Visibility The Labor Actuals grid on the Work Order Completion component displays all labor actuals rows and indicates the time entry source.

Maintenance Notifications PeopleSoft Maintenance Management 9.2 adopted the Events and Notifications framework to deliver work order-specific notifications. New work order alerts notify designated maintenance personnel when total actual labor hours exceed total scheduled labor hours, total actual work order task cost exceeds total scheduled work order task cost, and when a work order is created for an asset under warranty. The system also offers other user-configurable alerts by work order type, problem type, work order priority, and asset criticality.

SES Enhancements The PeopleSoft Maintenance Management match engine is used to recommend labor resources and tools that meet work order task requirements and availability. The resource match engine plans to use Oracle’s Secured Enterprise Search to calculate the fit scores for labor and tool resources, thereby accelerating the process of identifying qualified resources to perform maintenance.

BI Publisher Reports PeopleSoft Maintenance Management 9.2 offers the existing PeopleSoft Maintenance Management Crystal Reports in Oracle’s BI Publisher format.

Work Order and Item Control PeopleSoft 9.2 Maintenance Management offers new work order and item control capabilities. For example, by allowing maintenance schedulers and technicians to hand select inventory items for reservation and pick plans from the work order, items can be issued as they are needed to complete the tasks required to maintain or repair an asset. Inventory items will not be issued before they are needed, thus helping to minimize costs and the productivity loss associated with item stockouts.

Inventory Allocation In PeopleSoft 9.2, pre-allocating inventory from a work order helps provide maintenance schedulers and technicians with an easier way to access the Inventory Allocation Workbench. The Allocation Workbench helps ensure that the exact material, such as specific lots or serial IDs, or items from a specific storage location, are available to complete work order tasks.

Approval Framework for Preventive Maintenance Schedules PeopleSoft Maintenance Management 9.2 leverages the Approval Framework to enable Preventive Maintenance Schedule approvals. As delivered, Preventive Maintenance Schedule approval is associated with hazardous assets. However, the Approval Framework criteria can be modified during implementation to satisfy additional business requirements. Preventive Maintenance Schedule Approval Framework by Work Order business unit was enabled. When activated, any new Preventive Maintenance Schedule created remains inactive until it is approved.

Real Estate Management 9.2 In PeopleSoft Real Estate Management 9.2, Oracle plans to deliver the following enhancements:

• Tax Calculations • Lease Escalations • Auto-Updates to In-Process Transactions • Lease Invoice Date Flexibility • Billing Calendar Selection • BI Publisher Reports

Tax Calculations Furthering its ability to support organizations’ essential lease calculation challenges, Oracle’s PeopleSoft 9.2 delivers a Ship To Location override capability to all recurring rent transactions within the lease. This feature provides the ability to trigger the VAT/SUT calculation engine when the override location differs from the default location on the lease.

Lease Escalations If a lease escalation occurs in the middle of a billing period—a common occurrence—new support for proration of mid-period lease escalations enable proration of the escalation amount for the number of days applicable in the current period. Proration functionality applies to both index and stepped escalation types. In addition, the ability to enter negative rent escalations allows users to enter negative escalation amounts/percentages, which enables rent reductions based on Economic Index (for example Consumer Price Index) changes. Finally, a new lease escalations auto-generation tool populates the stepped escalation schedules based on a fixed escalation percentage/amount and a predefined calendar frequency.

Stepped escalation schedules generated by auto-generation tool

Auto-Updates to In-Process Transactions With release 9.2, PeopleSoft Real Estate Management offers the ability to automatically adjust and regenerate pending, in-process transactions according to the revised financial terms, including prorations, if applicable, thus reducing manual calculations and ensuring their accuracy.

Lease Invoice Date Flexibility While providing a default invoice date for lease payments according to setup, PeopleSoft Real Estate Management 9.2 offers the ability for a user to override the invoice date during processing, thus giving more flexibility to accommodate the various timing issues that inevitably are encountered with leases.

Billing Calendar Selection In PeopleSoft Real Estate Management 9.2, Oracle added a new billing calendar selection to the Percent Rent terms setup pages in the lease. This selection is in addition to the existing Reporting Calendar field, and the availability of both provides the ability to accrue sales reporting more frequently than the actual billing of percent rent variable rent charges.

BI Publisher Reports Oracle BI Publisher formats replaced existing PeopleSoft Real Estate Crystal Reports (Reported Sales & Rent Variance) to give richer reporting options.

Enterprise Service Automation (ESA) Solution The following sections preview the Program and Portfolio Management features and enhancements, by products in PeopleSoft Enterprise Service Automation 9.2.

• Contracts • Grants • Project Costing • Program Management • Resource Management

Contracts 9.2 To provide organizations with greater control over revenue and real leverage for their staff to handle larger volumes of work, Oracle’s PeopleSoft Contracts delivers the following enhancements in Release 9.2:

• Contracts Workbench • Contracts WorkCenter • Contracts User Productivity Boosters • Transaction Order Template for Limit Checking • Fixed Fee and Deferred Revenue Parallel Processing

Contracts Workbench The Contracts Workbench is designed to bring critical information together from the PeopleSoft Contracts, Project Costing, and Grants applications into a single interface in Contracts 9.2. The Workbench improves contract administrators’ and accountants’ abilities review contracts, instantly identify the need for adjustments, and enable rapid update to contract lines, projects, bill plans, and so on. Business analysts and users can configure sections of the Contracts Workbench to provide a summary view of and access to various controls, statuses, and transactions within the related applications. The workbench also aggregates and summarizes large amounts of disparate but related information required for effective contract management.

Contracts WorkCenter Contract administrators require access to a great deal of information such as contract terms, limits, related projects, and the status of related invoices in order to perform their jobs. The Contracts WorkCenter in release 9.2 helps users to quickly identify and resolve key process exceptions so that contracts proceed unimpeded. Key components of the Contracts WorkCenter include:

• My Work - The My Work section includes links to pages that users may access frequently. It comprises exceptions and alerts, where the user needs to take some type of action. My Work section is divided into two sets of exceptions, which are Pre-Process Exception and Process Exception.

Pre-Process exceptions are:

• Billing Plans Requiring User Action

• Revenue Plans Requiring User Action

• Billing Events Not Processed

• Revenue Events Not Processed

• Contract Lines Missing Rate Set/Plan

• Posted Sponsor Budget <> Billing Limit

These exceptions display data of all active contracts. Users can select required rows and perform necessary action on it.

Process exception is:

• Closed Contracts With Open Projects.

This exception displays all the contract status that is assigned to contract processing status as Closed.

• Links - The Links tab includes additional links to pages related to contracts such as Amendments, Contracts Workbench and My Contracts. A System administrator can determine a list of links that are available to end users in this section. The end user can personalize the required links they want to appear on their WorkCenter. Links to external pages can also be placed in this section.

• Queries - The Query section includes links to Query Manager, public queries, private queries, and Pivot Grids. The system administrator can determine if an end user can add public queries. The end user can personalize their private queries. Query results can be saved to Microsoft Excel.

• Reports and Processes – The Reports and Processes section includes links to reports and processes. The links accesses the run control page for reports, processes, and the reporting console. The system administrator can determine whether an end user can configure their pagelet. The objective of this pagelet is to minimize the number of clicks to access reports or processes and the results.

A Contracts WorkCenter Dashboard is provided, which displays information summaries that enable users to monitor different objects and data. There are multiple grids displaying various data on the Dashboard such as top five contracts, recent contracts and metrics. User can select and edit required contracts from the Dashboard.

Example: Contracts WorkCenter

Contracts User Productivity Boosters With PeopleSoft Contracts 9.2, Oracle enables users to change the Sold To Customer on pending contracts. This flexibility eliminates the re-keying of data that is typically required in situations when business needs dictate that the customer associated with a pending contract needs to change.

Users can now view a contract’s Billing Plans’ and Revenue Plans’ Descriptions and Plan IDs throughout the PeopleSoft Contracts application and they can readily access and update Bill Plans, Revenue Plans and Contract Terms through the use of the PeopleSoft Related Action Framework and Related Content which decreases the time spent locating pertinent information and helps avoid delays in key revenue management processes.

Transaction Order Template for Limit Checking With the transaction order template for limit checking, Oracle gives the project and contract-driven enterprise the option to control the order in which transactions are checked against a revenue contract. This allows organizations to comply with contract terms negotiated with customers, improve the rate of invoice acceptance, and increase cash flow, which can result in higher rates of reimbursement, especially on grants, commercial business (such as in media), and even government contracts.

Project Costing 9.2 In PeopleSoft Project Costing 9.2, Oracle will offer the following enhancements:

• Project Summarization

• Rounding and Accelerated Processing for Funds Distribution

• Rate Plan Pricing

• Variance Pricing

• Flexible Rate Sets

• Simplified Capture of Project Costs and Revenue

• Project Financial Pivot Grids

• Multi-Dimensional Rate Definition

• Manager Transaction Review

• Business-Specific Data Elements

Project Summarization PeopleSoft Project Costing 9.2 delivers subsystem transaction summarization, which allows for summarization of data before it is written to the project transaction table. Pricing summarization reduces the volume of data in the project transaction table.

Each subsystem integration process, such as PC_EX_TO_PC for Expenses, uses a summarization template to determine the level to which data will be aggregated. While the summarized rows are inserted into the project transaction table, the transaction details are stored in new tables providing the necessary detail when drilling into transactions on the Transaction List page.

Pricing summarization reduces the volume of data in the project transaction table and provides the option to eliminate excessive target transactions.

This diagram illustrates that each application engine process for the corresponding feeder application, sends detailed information to the corresponding detail table. If summarization is being used (the application check box is selected in the Summarization Options section on the Installation Options – Project Costing Integrations page), then the detailed data is summarized and then added to the Project Costing transaction table (PROJ_RESOURCE).

Rounding and Accelerated Processing for Funds Distribution New Funds Distribution capabilities include the replacement of straight distribution with a weighted rounding method, thus allowing organizations to specify a balancing Analysis Type in order to manage how fund distribution amounts are calculated. The Funds Distribution process also handles debit and credit Over Distribution Limit (ODL) transactions more efficiently, to reduce the time required to process the transactions in accounting.

Funds Distribution – Source page

To accelerate the configuration of Funds Distribution, PeopleSoft Project Costing 9.2 permits the grouping of a subset of source rules to a single target definition. In addition to enabling the mapping of all source rules to a single target definition, or configuring each source rule to a separate target definition, the enhancement allows users to enter source rules by Analysis Group or to group source rules manually. This option is defined on the Installation Options – Project Costing Integration page, in the Funds Distribution Options group box:

Rate Plan Pricing To support complex rate structures, rate plans can contain numerous rate sets. With a focus on pricing rate plans rapidly, PeopleSoft Project Costing offers the ability to process rate sets with common bases across projects, thereby reducing processing and compressing the cycle time from pricing to invoicing and accounting.

Rate Plans page

Variance Pricing With PeopleSoft 9.2, Variance Pricing is no longer limited to projects associated with revenue contracts classified as Government. The feature is available for repricing transactions for any project.

Variance pricing is used to capture and process price variances for a particular set of rates. Variance pricing, or retroactive rate adjustments, are required when contractors retroactively apply new rates to previously processed transactions. Previously processed transactions are those that have been billed or sent to the general ledger.

You can enable variance pricing on a standard or contract-specific rate set by selecting the Enable Variance check box.

When using this option, you can enter, track, and process variance rates on the Rate Variance History page.

Variance Pricing processes all rate set types (cost, billing, cost/billing, and revenue). In addition, Pricing Summarization can be enabled to generate summarized variance output rows and reduce the volume of data as well as the time required to run the Variance Pricing process.

Expanded run control parameters for Variance Pricing enables more control over the variance pricing transactions created. Processing can be restricted by business unit, project, activity, accounting date, or transaction date. Users are able to run Variance Pricing for individual rate sets, rate plans, or rate set categories, as well as for specific contracts or customers.

Variance Pricing also includes an optional review page to enable users to examine the output of a rate change and decide whether to accept the new calculations before proceeding.

Variance Pricing run control page

Flexible Rate Sets

The rate definition type of Cost/Billing creates cost and billing target rows, reducing the number of rate sets required and accelerating the Pricing process. Organizations are able to reduce their usage of rate plans (rate plans serve as a collection of rate sets) and improve the speed of the Pricing process. Rate plans will typically remain necessary only when rate stacking is needed.

See the Rate Sets page shot in the Variance Pricing section.

You specify a rate definition type when you create a rate set. By using rate definition types, the Pricing process can create costs (indirect and direct), price transactions for billing, and price transactions for revenue recognition. Rate definition types control the type of rows that the Pricing process creates by restricting the analysis types that you can select for target rows on the rate set.

For example, when you create a rate set with a cost rate definition type, the system restricts the target rows to analysis types that belong to the actual cost analysis group. The default actual cost analysis group is PSCST (Accounting Costs), which is specified on the Installation Options - Project Costing page along with the actual revenue and billing analysis groups. During implementation you can override the default analysis groups for actual cost, revenue, and billing.

Simplified Capture of Project Costs and Revenue PeopleSoft 9.2 Project Costing enables integration with PeopleSoft Payables and Billing to process Accounts Receivable Direct Journals and project-related bills that do not have a bill plan attached. These enhancements help organizations remove customizations and simplify the process of capturing revenues for invoices that are not associated with a contract and for cash receipts such as donations and reclassifications of cash receipts.

A Receivables Analysis Group field has been added to the Installation Options – Project Costing Integration page (Set Up Financials/Supply Chain, Install, Installation Options, Project Costing Integration).

In addition to the existing timesheet and expense report integration from PeopleSoft Services Procurement, deliverables-based progress log information integrate with PeopleSoft Services Procurement for cost collection and reporting purposes.

Project Financial Pivot Grids PeopleSoft Project Costing 9.2 delivers project financial pivot grids designed to provide interactive operational analytics that enable filtering and project transaction data “slicing and dicing” by analysis type, Project Costing ChartFields, and other key dimensions. Users can adapt the pivot grids as business needs evolve.

Pivots grids are based on PSQueries and can display the results in a grid format, a chart format, or both. You use the Pivot Grid Wizard (Reporting Tools, Pivot Grid, Pivot Grid Wizard) to design how the page is displayed to the user.

Pivot Grids can be added as pagelets (on a user’s Home page) and to the Queries tab in a WorkCenter.

Multi-Dimensional Rate Definition Organizations often need to define resource rates for a project and contract by multiple criteria. To accommodate this and nearly any other complex rate definition, a Custom Rates feature offers organizations the ability to define rates by as many as five different fields (that is, dimensions) available in the project transaction table.

Define Custom Rates page

The purpose of the Custom Rate page is to provide you with the means to create different rate structures in addition to rates by employee, role, and jobcode. Custom rate enable you to create rates with multiple criteria. For example, you may want to define one custom rate based on job code and department, and a second custom rate based on source type and supplier.

Manager Transaction Review The PeopleSoft Project Costing Manager Transaction Review (MTR) is a key tool that enables organizations to review and approve billable transactions before interfacing them to PeopleSoft Contracts and Billing. In PeopleSoft Project Costing 9.2, the MTR enables users to search and filter transactions by contract and contract line. Although many organizations typically defer transactions through the Billing Worksheet, MTR enables users to defer billable transactions and add a number of additional fields to the transaction grid. As a result, billable transactions can be processed at a later time and project managers will have the opportunity to identify and assess the appropriateness of transactions earlier in the business process.

Billing Review – General page

Government contractors carefully monitor a contract’s Period of Performance (POP) looking for transactions that fall outside the POP start and end dates. Transactions that fall outside the date range require approval before they are interfaced to PeopleSoft Billing. There is a new page for the MTR allowing project managers to segregate POP exceptions so that they can be manually reviewed and approved.

Period of Performance Review – General page

Business-Specific Data Elements In 9.2, the adoption of the PeopleSoft Supplemental Data framework on the Project General component enables the data capture of project details required to meet customer-specific business process requirements. With the Supplemental Data framework, organizations can give business analysts control over the definition and configuration of data elements that are unique to the business and at the same time avoid customizations in the software.

Resource Management 9.2 In PeopleSoft Resource Management 9.2, Oracle offers following enhancements:

• Enhanced RM Integration with sPro for Sourcing Contingent Labor • Mass Assignment Changes • Higher Quality Search Results • Enhanced HCM Integration • Protection of Personal Data

Enhanced RM Integration with sPro for Sourcing Contingent Labor Oracle enhanced the existing integration with PeopleSoft Services Procurement to source and obtains contingent workers (contractors and subcontractors) by pre-populating the requisitions with appropriate skills defaults based on the type of resource being requested.

This feature also automates the population of as many fields as possible from RM Service Order (SO) to Service Requisition (SR) within sPro to eliminate manual entry as much as possible. Fields like competencies their description along with proficiency and years of experience is populated on SR within sPro from the SO in RM. The quantity of unfulfilled resource assignments on the SO in RM is also transferred to the number of positions required on the SR within sPro.

Mass Assignment Changes With PeopleSoft Resource Management 9.2, a process is provided which allows the user to automatically complete assignments whose end date has passed, reducing the need for monitoring and intervention. After an assignment is completed, it is added to the resource history.

Higher Quality Search Results Resource and job searching is enhanced by replacing the existing Verity search engine with Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (SES). Search capabilities include a new distance/radial searching option so that users can search for the appropriate resources within a definable distance of the work location or for the appropriate jobs within a definable distance of the resource’s location.

Enhanced HCM Integration Building off the delivered integrations between PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM, enhancements to the inactivation of resources from PeopleSoft HCM improve eligibility classifications in PeopleSoft Resource Management. This enhancement improves the accuracy of the availability scoring results in both the Staffing Workbench and Express Search components.

Protection of Personal Data A flexible framework for identifying and selectively hiding sensitive employee data is offered in PeopleSoft Resource Management 9.2. Data is secured by role allowing specific user groups access to the sensitive data as appropriate. With this level of control, organizations are able to account for country-specific data privacy rules in the resource deployment process.

A pending applicant’s pagelet links applicants to specific orders and provides visibility to assist recruiters with managing high volumes of incoming applicants. The pending applicant’s aging pagelet enables users to always know the volume of incoming applicants through a graphical chart of pending applicants categorized in configurable aging intervals.

Richer Search Capabilities With 9.2, PeopleSoft combined with PeopleTools provides search capabilities using the Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (SES), which is implemented through the PeopleSoft Search Framework.

The PeopleSoft Search Framework provides a standard method to use search indexes for all PeopleSoft applications. The Search Framework depends on the Secure Enterprise Search (SES) engine.

In PeopleSoft Staffing, five search types (PeopleMatch, PeopleSearch, Order Search, Customer Search, and Contact Search) use the SES engine

The speed of resource and job searches as well as creating search indexes are improved by replacing the existing Verity search engine with Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (SES). The search includes a new distance/radial searching option that enables users to search for appropriate resources within a definable distance of the work location or appropriate jobs within a definable distance of the resource’s location. Better, faster searches typically mean better quality assignments are made faster.

Candidate and Agenda Visibility An enhanced candidate overview provides a single location with visibility into order specifics for resources, such as assigned to, under consideration for, or applied to orders. In addition, users see history and qualification details, including availability, competencies, references, prior jobs, and test statistics.

User-Definable Fields

In Release 9.2, PeopleSoft delivers six specific fields for each of the existing six User-Definable Fields sub records. These fields are a combination of 100-character alphanumeric, date, and yes/no format. This enhancement enables users to leverage the benefits and flexibility of capturing supplemental transactional data while allowing the values to flow through the business process without the overhead of adding fields and altering tables using the PeopleSoft Application Designer.

Price Adjustment Visibility on Requisitions In Release 9.2, PeopleSoft stores and displays the adjustment price amounts and source of the adjustment (item or contract) in the requisition. Displaying the purchase item price adjustment amounts in requisitions helps users verify the source of the requisition price, report patterns related to requisition history price adjustment, and report on the actual contract related requisition price and price adjustment amounts.

SES Enhancements In Release 9.2, PeopleSoft introduces Secure Enterprise Search (SES), a new search tool embedded within PeopleTools that gives customers more options and flexibility as to how they search and find information across PeopleSoft. SES provides customers with the ability to find data easier without navigating menus; design faceted search results for filtering; take direct action using Related Actions; search deeper within business objects; and search for specific IDs, values, and unstructured text across the business process.

Application Search provides customers with the capability to perform a keyword search against multiple documents across a business process. PeopleSoft purchase orders, requisitions, receipts, procurement contracts, and item catalogs are delivered as some of the documents within the planned Procure-to-Pay application search. Using Component Keyword Search, customers may search for a document by entering specific keywords in the keyword search area or by searching for specific field values across any of the available fields within a transaction, at the header, line, schedule, and distribution levels.

Prior to Release 9.2, Verity was offered as an option for alternative search capabilities. With FSCM Release 9.2, we replaced Verity-enabled searches on key components with the more robust SES (Secure Enterprise Search) functionality.

Supplier Onboarding To see details regarding these enhancements, please refer to the section: Supplier Onboarding & Collaboration.

Self-Service Categorization

PeopleSoft captures on the supplier record which commodities each of the suppliers offer, based on the available categories defined within PeopleSoft Procurement. In addition, at the time of supplier registration, suppliers can select which commodities they offer, thereby further streamlining the automation of managing supplier information.

Item Substitutes In Release 9.2, the enhanced functionality helps ensure that the purchase order is created using the items the buying organization is going to receive. Users can set up substitute items in the system and use these substitutes when suppliers inform them that certain items are backordered or discontinued. In addition, customers have the option to search for other available item substitutes if, for example, they do not like the quality of the item or they know that the item has a long lead time. PeopleSoft also offers the option to only allow an item to be used as a substitute and not ordered directly on transactions.

Buyer Mass Change PeopleSoft Purchasing Release 9.2 offers a new Buyer Mass Change component to allow customers to choose non-closed or canceled purchase orders based on a selection of search criteria. This change gives suppliers visibility into personnel changes made that affect multiple purchase orders. Whenever the Substitute Buyer is changed on the Buyer setup page, the system automatically invokes the new Buyer Mass Change process and updates all non-closed or canceled POs with the Substitute Buyer.

Advanced Purchase Order and Requisition Line Search In Release 9.2, we introduced Advanced Line Search for Requisitions and Purchase Orders. Using the new Search for Lines subpage accessed directly from the transaction, customers can select from a wide range of line, schedule, and distribution level values across the requisition or purchase order, giving buyers a way to filter the PO lines to view only those lines that the buyer wants to view in the transaction.

Purchasing Autonumbering Options PeopleSoft 9.2 offers new options for how IDs are assigned to purchase orders, requisitions, receipts, returns to supplier, procurement and supplier contracts, and master contract transactions. PeopleSoft Purchasing 9.2 leverages the existing Autonumbering page to define a three-digit alphanumeric starting sequence. The new autonumbering capabilities give organizations the flexibility to assign unique starting sequences for different types of transactions to improve tracking and reporting.

Support for MasterCard 5900 Financial Adjustment Record PeopleSoft Purchasing 9.2 supports the outbound MasterCard 5900 Financial Adjustment Record as part of Release 9.2 Procurement Card functionality. When Level 3 data is loaded during ProCard Stage Load, the additional 5900 data is captured and displayed on the Procurement Card Transaction Details page. Financial Adjustment transactions could include Card Member charges, Annual Fees, Currency adjustment fees, and so on. These are not charges incurred on a credit card, but rather a charge that may be imposed on the cardholder from the card provider. Adding this information on the procurement card ensures a full, comprehensive view of the entire procurement card transaction.

Support for Global Location Number (GLN) The Sunrise GLN 2010 initiative is a voluntary Healthcare Industry initiative to start using GLN as the “supplier, customer, and business unit references for business transactions between partners in a supply chain.” GLNs are unique identifier numbers for business locations in the Healthcare supply chain. A purchasing organization and its suppliers identify all their business locations with a GLN in their business-to-business transactions.

For Release 9.2, PeopleSoft expands visibility of GLN to the requisition and receipt. The enhancement for the requisition and the receipt added visibility to the GLNs that are associated with the ShipTo Location and Supplier Location of transactions. For the Procurement Contract, PeopleSoft displays the GLN that is associated with the contract supplier. Also, the Review PO Inquiry and Activity Summary pages are enhanced to include GLN and GTIN information.

Split Purchase Orders by ShipTo Although purchase orders may be consolidated across multiple locations to cut down on procurement costs and to take advantage of per order volume discounts, some suppliers are unable to process purchase orders that are to be delivered to multiple scheduled ShipTo locations. For this reason, PeopleSoft Purchasing offers the option to automatically Split POs based on the purchase order schedule’s ShipTo location. If the business unit or supplier location indicates to split POs based on ShipTo, the PO Sourcing process automatically splits requisitions into multiple purchase orders, one for each ShipTo location

PeopleSoft Purchasing also offers the same option for purchase orders created and managed online. Online edits ensure that the purchase order contains only one ShipTo location for the entire transaction, yet buyers now have the option to override this enforcement easily and to create the purchase order with multiple ShipTo locations.

PO Rollover Enhancements PO Rollover is a tool that allows all outstanding purchase order transactions to continue into the next budget period. When performing year-end processing, users often want to roll only POs that meet specific criteria (for example, only a specific dept or only if a project ChartField is populated). In the case of an individual purchase order containing some lines that match the criteria and other lines that do not match the criteria.

For Release 9.2, PeopleSoft Purchasing suppresses the creation of new distribution lines if the line does not meet the particular roll criteria. Eliminating the extraneous lines make it easier for organizations to view and analyze their rollover results.

PeopleSoft Purchasing also includes a new qualifier, Is Not Empty, in the filters for all ChartField fields in the Request PO Roll View page. The addition of this qualifier helps customers to identify, which purchase orders they want to roll.

User Interface and Role Action Changes With PeopleSoft Services Procurement 9.2, offers a contemporary new user interface for requisitions that is shared by all PeopleSoft SCM and SRM products. The new interface simplifyies and unifies the overall process of requesting equipment, contingent labor, and so on.

Create Requisition page (for a Services Procurement order) Furthermore, a new PeopleSoft Services Procurement role action allows requestors and service coordinators to add ad hoc activities to a work order.

Contingent Workforce Process Integrations With PeopleSoft Services Procurement 9.2, the existing integration with PeopleSoft Resource Management to source and obtain contingent workers (subcontractors) in PeopleSoft Services Procurement expands the integration so that the service order can pre-populate a requisition/work order with the appropriate skills defaults based on type. In addition, Release 9.2 integrates deliverables-based progress log information to PeopleSoft Project Costing to simplify cost collection and reporting related to deliverables-based work.

PeopleSoft Services Procurement adds the ability to accept time data electronically from an external system (via a web service following HR-XML standards) so that the contingent worker can enter time in the supplier’s system and have that system integrate the timesheet into PeopleSoft Services Procurement.

In PeopleSoft Services Procurement 9.2, a new integration allows logistical tasks from a PeopleSoft Services Procurement work order to synchronize directly with the Microsoft Outlook 2007 task list, thus eliminating the need for occasional users to sign in to the PeopleSoft system to review, update, or act on their tasks.

Adjustment History A new timesheet adjustment history capability maintains a history of adjustments made to a timesheet and enables an approver to create one or many adjustments submitted by a provider. This functionality helps the manager of an engagement (where a provider is working on assignment) to review timesheets that need approval and adjust them as necessary if any time was reported incorrectly. A new invoice adjustment history capability also maintains a history of adjustments made to invoice lines, along with a new “Adjusted” status, and helps users review any past adjustments.

Richer Search Capabilities & Drilldown With PeopleSoft Services Procurement 9.2, Oracle delivers work order and service provider searching improvements by replacing the existing Verity search engine with Oracle Secure Enterprise Search (SES). The search capabilities were expanded to selectively include both eligible and ineligible service providers, streamlining the search process while helping prevent the creation of duplicate data. Additionally, sPro analytics provide increased drill down capabilities as well as additional dimensions that assist users make smarter decisions about the use of various contingent workers.

Transaction Controls When timesheets, progress logs, and expenses are submitted against PeopleSoft Services Procurement work orders, the transactions are routed via the Approval Framework for review and approval. A new feature enables approvers to place a transaction on hold so that the approver can request additional information from the submitter prior to approval.

Furthermore, in 9.2, expense reporting offers the ability to spread expenses over multiple ChartField distributions in cases where more than one department, project, and so on are associated to the services for which the expenses are incurred. This feature includes the ability to book different expense transaction types (such as hotel, airfare, meals, and so on) to differing GL accounts, for increased spending control and visibility.

Improved Event Collaboration Security

PeopleSoft Strategic Sourcing 9.2 introduces a new Event Collaboration menu item which controls access to events to which collaborators should have access.

Bidder Contact Security

When buyers invite a bidder to bid on a sourcing event, the default contact is associated to that bidder on the invitation. However, buyers may manually choose to invite a different contact for the bidder. Previously on the bidder-facing pages of Strategic Sourcing, all bidder contacts could view the event. With the Bidder Contact Security enhancement, we provide the capability to restrict access such that only the bidder contact specified on the invitation is able to view the event, place bids, and view bidding activity.

Event Forum Privacy

On the bidder-facing pages of Strategic Sourcing, the Event Forum enables bidders and customers to post messages related to events. With the addition of the Event Forum Privacy enhancement, we provide an option for bidders and customers to choose when a specific posted message should be made private and only available for the buyer to view. No other bidders are able to view the message.

Having visibility and access to the configurable profile questions on the supplier master gives users the ability to track and report against the information and to manually update the data for accuracy.

Segregation of Duties

In Release 9.2, PeopleSoft Strategic Sourcing introduces the ability to group bid factors separately to support the segregation of duties within an organization. For example, organizations may want one bid factor group to contain item information that business users can review and another financial users bid factor group that can review price, supplier’s credit score, and shipping costs. Segregation of duties with the configurable bid factor groups prevents technical users from having access to financial data and vice versa, and it ensures that technical components are evaluated before cost components.

Supplier Administration Center

The Supplier Administration Center consolidates and centralizes access to relevant data based on user roles and permissions. For example, an administrator can review pending supplier, bidder, and user registration requests and alerts that require action. The FSCM 9.2 WorkCenters will deliver four standard pagelets – My Work, My Links, Queries, and Reports and Processes.

Supplier Contract Management 9.2 PeopleSoft Supplier Contract Management (SCMT) 9.2 delivers these enhancements:

• Enabling Microsoft Office Open XML Format

• Document Authoring for Buy Side RFX

Enabling Microsoft Office Open XML Format SCMT provides integration with Microsoft Office 2003 using the Custom XML tags feature and associated Content Controls. Microsoft introduced the new Microsoft Office Open XML format in Microsoft Word 2007 and Word 2010 to replace the Custom XML tags feature used in Microsoft Office 2003. In Release 9.2, SCMT was enhanced to provide integration to the Custom XML tags feature in Microsoft Word 2007 and Word 2010.

Document Authoring for Buy Side RFX With Release 9.2, Supplier Contract Management was enhanced to provide integration with the Buy Side RFx flows in Strategic Sourcing in order to streamline and automate the entire supplier contract life cycle, from authoring, collaboration, and negotiation to implementation, status tracking, and compliance.

Prerelease Notes PeopleSoft FMS, ALM, SRM, and SCM Release 9.2 Prerelease Notes September 2012

SCMT provides the capability to manage the Supplier Relationship Management flow from request to RFX to Contract by starting the document authoring process at the time of event creation. This allows the system to automatically capture transaction-related information in the document. When the event is posted, the enhancement enables bidders to see all of the document contents when they bid. When the event is awarded, the enhancement provides the ability for the document to be carried forward to the corresponding contract or purchase order, where it becomes the starting point for that document.

The Document Configurator Definition page illustrates that a sourcing event can be a source:

eProcurement 9.2 The eProcurement 9.2 enhancements are:

Transparent Punchout Price Adjustment Visibility in Requisitions Secure Enterprise Search (SES) Enhancements Usability Improvements to eProcurement Requisition Chunking Usability Role Action Categorization Mobile Approvals

Transparent Punchout In eProcurement 9.2, PeopleSoft provides Transparent Punchout capability so that requesters do not visibly access (or, ”punch out to”) the supplier site; instead, the system connects to one or more suppliers in the background and accesses their catalogs based on the search request. Then, the systems returns directly to the eProcurement pages and shows those items displayed along with internal catalog, favorite, or template items in the main search window. This enhancement keeps users within the eProcurement function rather than taking them out to a different website.

PeopleSoft FMS, ALM, SRM, and SCM Release 9.2 Prerelease Notes Prerelease Notes September 2012

eProcurement allows searching of both internal and external catalogs and allows organizations a flexible approach in determining which supplier catalogs they will load internally and which supplier catalogs they will access remotely.

Price Adjustment Visibility in Requisitions With eProcurement Release 9.2, we store and display the adjustment price amounts and source of the adjustment (item or contract) in the requisition. Displaying the purchase item price adjustment amounts in requisitions helps users verify the source of the requisition price, report on patterns related to requisition history price adjustment, and report on the actual contract-related requisition price and price adjustment amounts. In addition, requesters are able to view a breakdown of established price breaks associated with an item’s contract using the eProcurement item search results page.

Secure Enterprise Search (SES) Enhancements In eProcurement Release 9.2 the Verity search engine will be replaced by the Secure Enterprise Search (SES). The SES framework provides a standard method to use search indexes for all PeopleSoft applications. This framework depends on the Secure Enterprise Search (SES) search engine. SES is made up of a web accessible application running on top of an Oracle database. Each SES instance can be used to collect indexed data from a variety of sources, including multiple PeopleSoft databases.

The highest level object in the SES framework is the Search Category. A search category comprises one or more Search Definitions. All searches are performed against search categories. If no category is specified in the search criteria, SES searches across all categories defined in the SES instance. The search category description appears in the global search drop down to allow users to narrow SES searches to particular categories. For eProcurement a single Search Category is used for all searches.

Usability Improvements to eProcurement For Release 9.2 of eProcurement, we redesigned the eProcurement user interface and added configuration capabilities to provide a simple consumer-like shopping experience, while still allowing for all of the complexity such as overriding shipping line and distribution information, and so on.

We provided enhanced search capabilities and results to support the new Transparent Punchout capability, leveraging our new Secure Enterprise Search (SES). The search fields that appear are easily tailored by users to hide irrelevant fields, and the use of role actions control which capabilities a particular user is allowed.

PeopleSoft also offers in eProcurement 9.2 usability enhancements to the Checkout page that provide a cleaner look and feel, with role actions controlling whether a requester can override the shipping line or distribution details.

Requisition Chunking Release 9.2 introduces requisition chunking for improved online performance that loads rows of data in chunks rather than all the lines together. For example, if a requisition has 50 lines and the chunking limit is set to 20, then the first 20 rows are loaded. The next 20 rows are loaded only when the user selects the next set of lines using the chunking navigation icons. Loading rows of data in chunks improves the performance of the application greatly when there are many transaction lines.

Usability Role Action Categorization For eProcurement Release 9.2, requisition related role actions have been categorized into functional categories such as Requisition Display, Requisition Access, Requisition Search and Requisition Line Details. The administrator will have the ability to select the transaction role actions they want to access and assign. Unlike earlier where roles were assigned to an action, in this release we will assign actions to a role. For each role action, the administrator will be able to select, via a dropdown list how the action will appear to the user. New role actions will be added that facilitate the accessibility to specific functionality within create requisition functionality. The look and feel of the role action assignment page has also been enhanced.

Billing Dashboard

Manager Dashboard Video Feature Overview

Play Now

PeopleSoft Billing 9.2 provides the Billing Dashboard, which is a manager-facing dashboard that primarily contains analytics and a summary view of the billing function in the organization. The dashboard provides access to key information and real-time analytics such as bills not interfaced to GL and AR, total bills in various billing statuses, and number of bills processed monthly in a quarter. Users are able to drill into each of these analytics and view the detail transactions.

Billing WorkCenter PeopleSoft Billing 9.2 provides the Billing WorkCenter, a centralized work area that streamlines invoicing tasks in billing departments. The WorkCenter solution helps billing users to manage their daily workload through a personalized work queue.

PeopleSoft 9.2 WorkCenters are built on the PeopleTools WorkCenter Framework and the 9.2 Common Applications Framework. Key components of the Billing WorkCenter include:

• My Work – This pre-seeded pagelet gives Billing users visibility into the most critical pieces of their job. Users know exactly what they should be working on at a give time including bills that need processing, system generated alerts and processing exceptions. This pagelet divides a users work into the following categories:

• Current Work, which includes work that is high priority and should be reviewed by the billing analyst, such as invoices not finalized, invoices not submitted for approval, and installment and recurring invoice schedules not generated.

• Exceptions, which includes credit card errors, billing interface errors, and worksheet errors for users to review and correct.

• My Links – This pre-seeded pagelet allows the Billing user to navigate to key components of the Billing application such as express billing entry. Users can personalize this pagelet to include additional internal or external links.

• Queries – Financial users need access to queries they have created through the query manager. The queries pagelet will allow them access to public and personal queries.

• Reports and Processes – This pagelet will allow users access to reports they have generated and processes they need to run. For example, users can access the Reporting Console so they can have direct access to their process and report outputs.

Simplified Billing Entry PeopleSoft Billing 9.2 introduces the ability to configure a billing entry page with only desired fields through the use of bill entry templates. The bill entry templates can be defined at bill source, bill type, business unit, and installation. Additionally, Billing 9.2 consolidates the accounting distribution pages to a single page.

Enhanced Billing to Project Costing Integration In Release 9.1, billing system transactions that do not have a bill plan attached are not available in PeopleSoft Project Costing. PeopleSoft Billing 9.2 enhanced the integration to projects by allowing bills entered in Billing to be interfaced to Projects Costing. Customers are able to enter an analysis type in the bill line and send that information to Projects.

Enhanced Integration with Payables PeopleSoft 9.2 enhances the Billing to Payables integration by adding the capability to send detail header or line information to Payables when vouchers are created for the Payables business unit. This function provides the flexibility needed in the billing and payment process for interunit vouchers. Similar to the Receivables Level option in Billing, a new installation setup is available for Payables. This option can be configured at the system level, installation level, or the bill type level and allows users to create multiple Voucher headers for an invoice having multiple lines. This allows the closure of individual Receivables open items related to each bill line when the voucher is paid.

Hosted Credit Card Storage and Payment For Release 9.2, PeopleSoft provides the ability to employ a Third-Party Payment Processor in the Order to Cash modules, thus removing the responsibility from the organization for credit card data security.

For more information, see this section: Third-Party Hosted Credit Card Storage and Payment.

Order Management 9.2 PeopleSoft Order Management 9.2 will deliver the following enhancements:

• Price Book • Supply and Demand WorkCenter • Related Content and Operational Metrics • Return Material Authorizations (RMA)

• Mark Lines for Billing and Mark Drop Ship Lines for Billing • SES Enhancements • Hosted Credit Card Storage and Payment

Price Book In PeopleSoft Order Management 9.2, organizations are able to generate a customer-specific and/or product-specific Price Book by a flexible structure of selection options. This allows users to react to customer or sales team requests for detailed pricing information. Users can send the Price Book via email or EDI, print it in PDF format, or view it online which enables them to quickly consult a customer’s pricing structures with minimal effort. Delta Price Book generation is also available so reports may be generated for only the newly added or deleted pricing structures since the last time a Price Book was generated.

Supply and Demand WorkCenter For Release 9.2, Oracle offers a Supply and Demand WorkCenter designed to identify fulfillment bottlenecks and giving users one place to remediate any identified problems directly from the WorkCenter. In addition, the WorkCenter contains a series of metrics and operational analytics usable by a wide range of roles within the organization. This enhancement also includes a series of standard alerts identifying potentially problematic conditions in their Supply Chain, such as orders past shipment date, on hold orders past their shipment date, overdue POs, and so on. In the case of order schedules past their shipment date, users may do a mass change to adjust shipment dates or to switch the demand from one warehouse to another. The Release 9.2 enhancement provides users a Dashboard where all aspects of demand and supply flow can be viewed, measured, and optimized to encourage the free-flowing shipment of demand.

Related Content and Operational Metrics In Release 9.2, Oracle provides embedded related content displaying order fulfillment effectiveness and average time to pick, pack, and ship. With these metrics, organizations are able to gauge whether or not they are maintaining agreed-upon service level agreements with their customers.

Return Material Authorizations (RMA) The Create/Update RMA component has always allowed the user to return inactive products from Shipment History, but they could not be manually entered in the RMA line. For Release 9.2, Order Management provides the capability to manually enter an inactive Product ID in the RMA Line, but also ensures the replacement sales order is not created for that inactive Product ID. Users also has the capability to search for an alternate Product ID and manually enter a Product ID in the replacement sales order line.

For Release 9.2, we provide a default RMA Payment Terms code option on the Order Management Business Unit that overrides the Bill-To Customer Payment Terms Code defaulted into the RMA. In addition, we added a prompt for the RMA Payment Terms code in the RMA Header, RMA Line, and Payment Group page so users have the capability to enter an appropriate Payment Terms Code to be used for credit invoices.

Mark Lines for Billing and Mark Drop Ship Lines for Billing For Release 9.2, PeopleSoft Order Management will include a way to "unship" a "Mark Lines/Drop Ship Lines for Billing" transaction. This planned capability will allow a reversal of a shipment by indicating a negative number if reducing the quantity shipped, as well as a button to Unmark, thus removing the entire row from the shipping history and costing tables. In addition, Oracle will include the capability to record Serial IDs for serialized products that are direct shipped from a supplier.

SES Enhancements With Application Search, PeopleSoft Release 9.2 provides customers with the ability to perform a keyword search against multiple documents across a business process. With FSCM Release 9.2, Oracle’s PeopleSoft replaces Verity-enabled searches on Customer, Product, and Item ID with the more robust SES (Secure Enterprise Search) functionality.

Hosted Credit Card Storage and Payment For Release 9.2, Order Management provides the ability to employ a Third-Party Payment Processor to remove the responsibility from the organization for data security. When maintaining a Customer Contact, Adding or Updating a Quote, Sales Order, or RMA, users are seamlessly transferred to a Third-Party Provider site so that credit card information can be captured and stored. Sensitive data is no longer stored in the Customer, Quote, and Order or RMA records. Instead, a Token ID identifies the Cardholder, Credit Card Number, and other personal information and stored in these tables. This Token ID is used only by the Third-Party Provider to identify the customer or transaction in the PeopleSoft system.

Example: Credit Card Data page showing credit card information stored in a PeopleSoft Order to Cash system using the hosted credit card implementation

Inventory Analytics and Alerts For Release 9.2, Oracle provides Inventory-specific analytics and alerts as part of the Supply and Demand WorkCenter to identify inventory bottlenecks and give users the ability to remediate identified problems. Users have “out-of-the-box” alerts identifying potential fulfillment problem conditions such as overdue sources of supply and demand past scheduled shipment date. The users are able to use the alerts and analytics to identify the problem rows and take actions directly from the WorkCenter. The analytics and alerts are available to be incorporated anywhere as Related Content or accessed specifically by a user created template built for an Inventory Manager on the Supply and Demand WorkCenter.

In Release 9.2, PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management is a new optional inventory application that enables automated mobile user operations. Mobile Inventory Management works directly with its parent application, PeopleSoft Inventory, and Fulfillment Management and to operate in real-time connected mode. Users are able to perform tasks using either handheld Windows-enabled devices or iPads.

Item Change Templates In Release 9.2, Oracle introduces the ability to make changes to existing items or groups of items using configurable item templates. Release 9.1 provided the initial ability to add new items using item templates. The Release 9.2 enhancement expands the 9.1 item template capability to support item changes also.

The configurable item template component allows users to create item change templates with defaults and identified attributes to maintain item information specific to a user or role. Users are then able to use the item change templates to specify the new item attribute values to be used in the change activity, the selection criteria to be used to select the items or item groups for the change, and initiate the change process in just a few steps.

Maintenance Work Order Inventory Enhancements In Release 9.2, PeopleSoft Inventory is enhanced to support pre-allocation of specific lot/serial items to a Maintenance Work Order. The Maintenance Work Order page was enhanced to introduce the ability to pre-allocate items before initiating the reserve/pick plan process for the work order.

IFRS Accounting Support In release 9.2, PeopleSoft Inventory Cost Management was enhanced to support the International Accounting Standards 2 (IAS 2) accounting treatment for inventories. The Release 9.2 enhancement provides the ability to do dual book reporting (International Financial Reporting Standards [IFRS] and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles [GAAP]), cost inventory value at lower of cost and net realizable value, to prohibit LIFO method of costing as a valid costing method for IFRS, and to change the cost of inventory calculation to not include exchange rate variance in the cost of inventory and to expense the exchange rate variance.

U.S. companies that switch over to IFRS are able to provide dual reporting (IFRS and GAAP) for two years before their switch over if their current inventory accounting method differs from the guidelines stipulated in IAS2.

Catalog Management 9.2 The following Catalog Management enhancements were delivered to improve efficiency and productivity managing catalogs:

Streamlined Catalog Management PeopleSoft Release 9.2 streamlined the existing process so that a partner or an administrator can, in one step, load a file and process the file through the step of populating the production catalog and uploading the catalog details into the system. We provide a new Catalog Workbench that enables users to view current catalogs, to allow new catalog files to be loaded, and to provide visibility (through a catalog upload timeline) to where the catalog rows are at any point in time. Once the upload is validated, reviewed, and approved, we provide the capability to upload the catalog into either the Item Master (current functionality) or to upload it as an Express Catalog.

Manufacturing Analytics and Alerts For Release 9.2, PeopleSoft Cost Management provides manufacturing analytics and alerts as part of the Supply and Demand WorkCenter to identify manufacturing bottlenecks and give users the ability to remediate identified problems. Users have “out-of-the-box” alerts identifying potential manufacturing problem conditions from pending productions shortages and overdue production. Production supply and component availability analytics are provided as part of the Supply Demand Dashboard. The users are able to use the alerts and analytics to identify the problem rows and take actions directly from the WorkCenter. The planned analytics and alerts are available to be incorporated anywhere as Related Content or accessed specifically by a user created template built for a Production Manager on the Supply and Demand WorkCenter.

Supply Planning MRP Solver Enhancements In Release 9.2, the new Supply Planning enhancement provides a new time fence to assist in rescheduling supply orders. This new time fence window provides the MRP solver the ability to manage supply orders that fall between current date and the new time fence date. The enhancement allows MRP solvers to consider any late supply orders within the time fence before creating new supply. The MRP solver enhancement logic first tries to reschedule needed supply. If the reschedule fails and the late supply order falls within the tolerance window, the system considers using that late supply order to satisfy the demand. If the supply order exists outside the tolerance window, the system will use the current MRP logic.

Also in Release 9.2, Supply Planning displays the safety stock demand as a new demand type in the Show Demand for Supply function. The new demand type display allows the planner to differentiate between a true planned safety stock demand requirement and a general Inventory Increase that resulted from planning.

Demantra Interface and Usability Enhancements In Release 9.2, the PeopleSoft Demantra interface was enhanced to introduce Material Stock Requests and Transfer kits as new sources of demand in the Demantra demand history file. A second Demantra interface enhancement provides two new file extracts for branch shifts and standard unit of measure conversions. The new file extracts populate the worksheets required by the Process Integration Pack used in Demantra Integration.

Supply Planning Usability and Security Enhancements With the first 9.2 enhancement, the Supplier Planning Update table calendar dates with action messages are displayed in a bold font to easily identify the calendar dates with activities needing review. Another Supply Planning enhancement allows the planners to access only their associated business units and planning instances based on the business units defined in their security permission list. As a result, planning personnel will have visibility to only the supply plans and business units that they manage.

Industry Enhancements PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 provides industry-specific enhancements in these industries:

• Financial Services

• Healthcare Industry

• Higher Education & Research

General Ledger for Financial Services 9.2 Balance Sheet Valuation Through Settlement Date The transaction trade date and settlement date of securities such as equities do not always fall on the same day. The date differences reconcile when both occur within the same financial period. PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 provides the ability to recognize the settlement date of instrument trades in the journal flow. Further, customers are able to get a settlement view of ledger balances. This enhancement allows finance teams an automatic means to recognize the effect of the different dates on the financial activity and related balances when the trade date and settlement date fall across the financial periods.

Adjustment Period Option for Average Daily Balances (ADB) PeopleSoft General Ledger 9.2 provides the ability to associate adjustment periods that correlate with the regular accounting periods, making it easier to identify adjustments that have been applied in the average balances. The new capability is an option that defines whether to post adjustment journal entries to the ADB Ledgers using an adjustment period or a regular accounting period that is derived from the ADB calendar.

PeopleSoft 9.2 for the Healthcare Industry (Purchasing) Global Location Number (GLN) and Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) With Release 9.2, GLN is provided in the PeopleSoft SRM applications to support the Healthcare Industry Sunrise 2010 initiative. The GLN fields were added to the sourcing tables used to create the EDI transaction maps. Customers are able to add the GLNs as new locations to their EDI transaction maps for these business-to-business communication transactions: Purchase Order Dispatch, Purchase Order Acknowledgement, Advanced Ship Notice, and Price List. In Release 9.2, the GLN was also added to selected transaction pages in PeopleSoft SRM. The GLN fields are displayed on the Purchasing pages next to their associated PeopleSoft Location field, Ship To field, or Supplier Location field.

A second related Healthcare industry initiative is the Sunrise 2012 Initiative. This initiative improves accuracy and efficiency with item numbers by using the GTIN (Global Trade Item Number). The GTIN is a single item identifier for item/UOM (unit of measure) combinations that are used for business-to-business communication (EDI). With Release 9.2, we added the GTIN field to the EDI sourcing tables. The EDI transaction source mapping tables include both GLN and GTIN. GTIN has been available as an alternative identifier for item/UOM combinations since PeopleSoft Release 9.0 and in Release 9.2, the GTIN is displayed next to its internal item number on selected pages in the PeopleSoft Inventory and Procurement applications.

In Release 9.2, PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management is offered as a new optional inventory application that enables automated mobile user operations in the Healthcare industry. Mobile Inventory Management works directly with its parent application, PeopleSoft Inventory and Fulfillment Management, and operates in real-time connected mode. Users perform tasks using either handheld Windows-enabled devices or iPads. Par Counts, Purchase Order and Ad Hoc Receipts, and Delivery and Delivery Signature Capture are provided as part of the 16 inventory and purchasing transactions that support the Healthcare industry.

PeopleSoft 9.2 for Higher Education and Research PeopleSoft Grants 9.2 introduces the following enhancements:

• Grants WorkCenter

• Grants Portal Security and Transaction Classification Flexibility

• FFR Enhancements

• Supplemental Data for Grants

• Increased Field Lengths

• Linkage of a Milestone to a Budget Period

• Simplified Maintenance of Award Modifications and Funding

Grants WorkCenter The new Grants My Work exception pagelet provides access to summary and detailed information for grants that have a posted budget not equal to their contract billing limits. More detailed information can be investigated and updated through modal windows, allowing each important exception to be cleared and the next one worked, all without leaving the Grants WorkCenter User Interface.

Grants WorkCenter

In addition to the grant-specific exception example described, the Grants WorkCenter provides links to Billing exceptions and Billing and Projects pivot grids to increase productivity of those users whose responsibility spans the billing, project, and contract functional domains, as well as grants. PeopleSoft Grants 9.2 also provides links between the Award and Project pages and between the Award Funding and Budget Detail pages for single-click navigation between key functions. This functionality provides the ability to identify a sponsored office administrator responsible for post-award administration on the Award Profile page.

Grants Portal Security and Transaction Classification Flexibility In PeopleSoft Grants 9.2, enhancements include options to control how transactions booked to adjustment periods are classified, additional security setup options to increase flexibility for granting and revoking security, the ability to classify adjusting F&A general ledger journals as sponsored F&A transactions, and the ability to view budget spend transactions by lower level budget categorization on the budget status page based on tree setup.

To accommodate the various ways in which sponsored projects are funded, many organizations establish different project budget periods for each project associated with an award in PeopleSoft Grants. In 9.2, the portal staging process of the grants portal offers the ability to categorize transactions at the project budget period level rather than the award budget period level, which enables organizations to view multi-project, multi-budget period award data for awards containing overlapping project budget periods.

FFR Enhancements Oracle continues to enhance the Grants FFR to account for the changing requirements and to increase reporting flexibility. These enhancements include:

• More run control options, including the ability to run several Letter of Credit IDs at the same time.

• The ability to comply with more than one F&A rate type.

• Refinement of the encumbrance and indirect expense calculations to increase report accuracy.

• Cosmetic and field alignment updates.

Supplemental Data for Grants In 9.2, Oracle delivers configurable Supplemental Data on the Award and Project General components to support the recording of data such as:

• Tracking additional information for ARRA and FFATA reporting.

• Recording an institution’s clinical trial number on an award profile to link clinical trial information to award information for reporting purposes

This feature enables research institutions to meet sponsor reporting requirements as well as organizations’ individual information tracking needs without having to customize Grants and Projects to capture the data.

Increased Field Lengths To avoid customizations to meet federal regulations, Oracle extended the length of Letter of Credit Doc ID (LOC_DOC_ID) field to the fields to 30 characters.

Expanded fields lengths for the Reference Award Number (REF_AWD_NUMBER), CFDA Title (CFDA_TITLE), and Attribute Value (ATTR_CODE_VALUE) also help to ensure that correct information is available and captured for invoicing and reporting purposes.

Linkage of a Milestone to a Budget Period To enable organizations to provide more control and better monitoring of award milestones, PeopleSoft Grants 9.2 provides the ability to link a milestone to a budget period.

Simplified Maintenance of Award Modifications and Funding To offer more flexibility while continuing to ensure data consistency, Oracle has enhanced the Award Modification and Funding pages by providing the ability to:

• Add and delete budget periods from the Award Modification header page.

• Enter an Issue Date on the Award Modifications for a Period page.

• Select a project to which a modification on the Award Modifications for a Period page can be associated.
