Deborah Kogler, LDODeborah Kogler has enjoyed 30 years working within the eye care profession. She is a dual licensed optician in Ohio, licensed by the American Board of Optician (ABO) and the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE) and specializes in low vision. She is also a member of the National Academy of Opticians, Ohio Opticians

Association and the Opticians Association of America. Deborah also does lecturing, writing and consultations for low vision clients as well as for companies.

Robert Alexander, LDO,ABOM / NCLE-ACSponsored by Vision EaseBob is a graduate of Hocking College with an AAS in Opticianry. He is a dual Licensed Dispensing Optician in Ohio, is an Advanced Certified Contact Lens Technician through the NCLE and a certified

Master in Ophthalmic Optics through the ABO. He began his career as a Dispensing Optician before joining Vision Ease as a Lens Consultant in 2013. Bob is currently Vice President of the OAO Board of Trustees.

Barb Malobabich, ABOCSponsored by Carl Zeiss VisionBarb began her optical career more than 18 years ago with SOLA Optical as a Sales Consultant, Team Leader and eventually a Key Account Manager. After 6 years with SOLA, she moved on to Vision Ease as a Key Account Manager and then on to Hoya

Vision Care as a Brand Manager. Upon leaving Hoya, she started MB Consulting, a firm focused on addressing the marketing and training needs of ECPs and other small business owners. In July 2015, Barb joined Carl Zeiss Vision (which bought SOLA Optical in 2006) as a Business Development Representative covering Ohio. Barb is an ABOC certified Optician and approved as a general knowledge and technological speaker.

Jeff Rohlf, OODB PresidentAssistant Director-Optometry Clinic, Ohio State UniversityJeff Rohlf is Assistant Director-Optometry Clinics at The Ohio State University, College of Optometry. He has been at OSU since July 2002. Rohlf has been active in Ophthalmic Optics education at the college and also serves as Chief of Eyewear Gallery Services. He previously worked for E. B. Brown Optical

for 15 years, with the last five years as Regional Manager. Originally from the Toledo, Ohio area, Rohlf began his career at Optical Arts on Central Avenue for the Diefenthaler family. His combined experience, including other positions held totals nearly 30 years in the industry. He has held active positions in OAO for many years and is President of the Ohio Optical Dispensers Board.

Jim Slightom, ABOM, FCLSAJim Slightom is a Fellow in the Contact Lens Society of America and a Master Optician certified by the American Board of Opticianry. Jim has been an optician and contact lens technician for more than 38 years, owned his own optical business for the first 18 years, was the Contact Lens Clinical Director at the

University of Missouri Kansas City Ophthalmology Department for 8 years, spent three years as a Clinical Specialist teaching and consulting with practitioners on how to fit Paragon’s Corneal Refractive Therapy lenses, and is currently a Contact Lens Consultant at ABB Optical Group. ABB is the largest North American distributor of all brands of soft lenses, and a major lens manufacturer of GP and specialty soft lenses. Since 1991, Jim has specialized only in contact lenses.
