Fuel Injection System Requirements for the OPOC s30 EngineRequirements• JP-8 primary fuel, Jet A, Diesel Fuel secondary
• 6000 injections per minute per fuel injector (2 required per engine)
• Fuel injector electronically controlled via pulse width modulation
• Fuel supply pressure to injector – 400 bar (~6,000 psi)
• Fuel flow per injector at 6,000 rpm, full load – 8 mm^3/injection
• Fuel injection duration at 6,000 rpm, full load -30 degrees of crankshaft rotation or 0.83 msec
• Fuel flow at no-load idle (~1500 rpm) - 1.5 mm^3/injection, 250 bar fuel supply pressure and ~0.2 msec
