Cooking Fuel – Indoor Air Pollution •  The solid fuels responsible include

•  wood, •  crop residues, •  dung, •  charcoal, and coal.

•  Deaths due to •  pneumonia, •  stroke, •  heart disease, •  chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), •  and lung cancer.

•  wood, •  crop residues, •  dung, •  charcoal, and coal.

•  Deaths due to •  pneumonia, •  stroke, •  heart disease, •  chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), •  and lung cancer.

•  Every year, 4.3 million people die due to indoor air pollution caused by indoor open fire. •  45 times the annual number of deaths due to natural catastrophes (±95,000

in the 2000s) •  More than 2 times the number of deaths due to AIDS (1.5 million in 2013).
