links should be used to determine which headsets are recommended
for use with the OpenStage telephones
https://www.g-dms.com/livelink/livelink.exe/open/22151572http://wiki.unify.com/index.php/OpenStage_Headsets
2.5.12 Static Routes DHCP Options 121 (RFC Standard and Windows
Server since Server 2008) is supported. Option 249 (Windows Server
up to 2003) is not supported 2.5.13 How to: VLAN and Quality of
Service Parameter Due to several requests, misconfiguration issues
and a changed behaviour of the OpenStage phone in comparison to
optiPoint 410/420. The following configuration examples of how VLAN
and Quality of Service (QoS) parameters should be configured and
which impact this parameter have has to be considered. There are
tow parameters that are relevant for VLAN and QoS: 1.)VLAN ID which
is found at the Phone Admin menu via Network IP configuration
2.)Layer 2 which is found at the Phone Admin menu via Network QoS
Service With optiPoint 410/420 phones those two parameters where
very much linked to each other, which was requested for OpenStage
to be not the case. This requirement has been fulfilled as much as
possible. So with OpenStage phones it is possible to activate VLAN
functionality even without having to activate the QoS first, but it
is still required to have a VLAN ID configured to activate QoS
Layer 2 at the phone. For example: Scenario 1: No QoS Layer 2 and
no VLAN is used at the customer Configuration: QoS Layer 2 OFF VLAN
ID BLANK It is extremely important to use a blank VLAN ID and NOT
the VLAN ID 0 as this VLAN ID is still something and not nothing as
you will see in the next example. Scenario 2: QoS Layer 2 but no
VLAN is used at the customer Configuration: QoS Layer 2 ON VLAN ID
0 In this case the phone will operate in the same network segments
as in the previous scenario, but the phone will send out tagged
frames with VLAN ID 0 and the corresponding QoS parameters, defined
as Priority tagging in the 802.1q standard. Attention: Some network
components may use the VLAN ID 0 for special purpose, please check
with the customers network administrators first, and otherwise use
Scenario 1 or 3. Scenario 3: QoS Layer 2 and VLAN are used at the
customer (Recommended) Configuration: QoS Layer 2 ON VLAN ID 2-4094
VLAN ID 1 should not be set at the phone as the phone already uses
this VLAN ID internally so do not use it. This is a permanent
restriction. Scenario 4: QoS Layer 2 is not used but VLAN is used
at the customer Configuration: QoS Layer 2 OFF VLAN ID 2-4094
Release Note page 12(of 20)[OpenStage & Desk Phone IP HFA V3
R0.16.0] VLAN ID 1 should not be set at the phone as the phone
already uses this VLAN ID internally so do not use it. This is a
permanent restriction. For scenarios 2 and 3 it is also important
to configure the QoS Layer 2 values according to the network
environment configuration of the customer. There are no right or
wrong values itself they are depending how the different values are
interpreted by the network switches so do not ask GVS or BLS to
give you the right values as that is something the customers
network administrators have to provide. Release Note page 13(of

possible that the phone will reboot during operation. With INCA IP2
V1.4 this problem is fixed and half duplex mode is fully supported.
IEEE 802.1x:The phone acts as a supplicant only, not as an
authenticator for a PC connected at the second LAN port of the
OpenStage Phone. For IEEE 802.1x authentication including MDA
behind Cisco Access Switches, IOS 12.2(40) or later is required.
For IEEE 802.1x authentication without MDA behind Cisco Access
Switches, IOS 12.2(25) or earlier should be used. If a NIC with
Broadcom NetXtrem is used install the latest driver. Voice

1000Base-T requires the mandatory use of Auto negotiation for Speed

been changed so that it is no longer possible to configure Gigabit
Speed and Duplex manually. A use of auto negotiation is required in
case of Gigabit Ethernet. XML Support: XML applications can not be
