#LEAD15
“Without health there is no happiness. An attention to health, then, should take the place of every other object.” Thomas Jefferson
A CHIME Leadership Education and Development Forum in collaboration with iHT2
• What’s a CIO?
• Where’s the T?
• And how much I?
• And where is it going?
C (at the top, in charge, accountable)
I (information, innovation, ideas, integration)
O (executive, leader, manager, representative)
Not career is over!
What about technology? • How much of your day is spent managing technology? • How much of your budget is about technology? • What proportion of your executive’s conversation is
about technology • What’s the real value you bring to your organization?
Now and in the future?
Information!
Maybe our core business? Teaching people to use information is maybe as important as providing it? Who are the real experts? And how do we manage it?
Dashboards?
Or Analysis?
It’s all about the math!
A few thoughts for the future:
• Follow the money (risk based payment, VBP, etc.) • Does the patient experience really matter? • How valuable is transparency? • Is all technology the same? • What happens when everyone is at Stage 7? • Is the IT leader only the IT leader?
