Summary
Open Text Archiving and Document Access for SAP Solutions offers a range of options for integrating SAP documents and other documents in the different SAP applications, including e-mails, faxes, images and informal correspondence, etc. Besides archiving documents, it allows you to manage, search, display and edit them. This article is about accessing the various SAP business documents through OPEN TEXT DocuLink, which are archived using the SAP archiving methods.

Open Text Archiving and Document Access for SAP Solutions offers a range of options for integrating SAP documents and other documents in the different SAP applications, including e-mails, faxes, images and informal correspondence, etc. Besides archiving documents, it allows you to manage, search, display and edit them.
Configuration Steps
1. Go to transaction J6NP. Click on New Version.
2. Give a Project Name and Description and save the project.

15. Now for each node, continue steps 12 to 14. In case of Nodes, which is used to display the values fetched from database, we need to change the “Selection Type” of the node accordingly. i.e. “Value Table” in our case.
In the Functions tab, we will add a function in “Function code PICK” field for performing a specific action at the time of double clicking the displayed value.

16. Now in case of Value Table node, we need to create a Attribute Object.
17. Click on the Create Attribute Object against the Value Table Node. We can create all the attribute objects, which needs to be used for the selection screen and output display.

Note: Here the Data Structure represents table structure of the respective documents. The SAP – Object Type represents the respective Business Object of the corresponding structure. This is an important entry, which will be used internally for the selection and display of the respective document from Open Text.
In the Data Archiving Tab, we will give the respective Archiving Object of the document and the Archive Info Structure used for archiving the documents. The info structure fields in the Archive Info Structure are important as the Open Text Node Selection Fields should be available in the info structure fields of the Archive Info Structure. So while creating the Archive Info Structure, we need to plan all the info structure fields with the selection screen fields of Open Text output also in mind.

20. We will use these variables in the output display of the value table node. This is used to display all the selected purchase order in the open text output screen.
21. Now we need to create the selection screen variables or use the existing attribute objects for selection screen variables, which need to be used in the Open Text output report. For creation we need to click on the “New” icon and for using the existing one, we need to click the “Hand” icon.

After executing, we can see all the Purchase Orders which are Archived as well as which are available in the database. The documents displayed in red colors are all archived and the rest is available in database.
