It’s TIME for the TIMELINES….Materials:

Purpose:•We are exploring representing information on a timeline to show past events.•We are getting to know more about one another.•We are writing sentences that provide information.

Instructions:•Gather materials.•Brainstorm 6 major events in your life.•Write the dates in order on your timeline across the poster. (These can be month and year or date, month, and year.) EXAMPLE: 6-2001 or June 4, 2001.•Find or draw a picture of each event and attach it to the date.•Write a complete sentence about each event. EXAMPLE: I was born on May 8, 1969.
