Dear Member,  We are delighted to report that pre-eminent journalistBill Moyers has once again renewed his commitmentto public broadcasng and, therefore, to all Americans.

Moyers had announced a well-deserved rerementseveral months ago. However, the outpouring of respect, love, and just plain awe overwhelmed his intenons, andhe is back in January with a weekly half-hour program at9 pm every Friday, repeang at 11 am every Monday.

I would also draw your aenon to two programs onSunday, January 26, at 10 pm and 11 pm respecvely. Both shows, Schools That Change Communi  es andParents’ Survival Guide: Childhood Obesity , are KRCB co-

producons. Not only are we airing the shows, but wehave also, working with the producers, distributed theprograms to PBS staons around the country.

Schools That Change Communi  es looks at how diverse schools around thecountry are tackling school reform at the local level, tranforming not only the schoolsthemselves but the communies that surround them. Parents’ Survival Guide:

Childhood Obesity  off ers new ideas and approaches to an important health challengefacing families and communies. Both programs address topics that are crical toimproving health outcomes both locally and naonally, and we air them as part of

our ongoing KRCB’s Health Connecons work, which presents important topics indepth for your consideraon—and, made possible by your support.
