Open a Database• Start Access

• Navigate to the drive and folder where you store your data flies

• Click More link in the Open Recent

database list, click Quest-A , click Open

• Double -click Tours table

Entering Data

•In TourName Field, type Perfect Waves, press [Enter], type 7/16/2010, press[Enter,] }type 5, press [Enter], type Hunt Beach, press[ Enter],type CA then press [Enter]

•Then Save

Editing Data•Click after Club in the TourName field, and type –Cavuto

•Note when you editing a record, the edit record symbol, which look likes a pencil, appears in the record selector box to the left

Creating a Database•Start Access

•In the navigation pane, click personal, click contacts, then click Download

•Type your own Name, e-mail address, use school information for the Business Phone and Company field, Use Student for the job Title field

Creating a Table•Reopen Quest -A database

• Type Category, then press the down button

•Double Click Add New Field, type TourDescription, then press down

•Save as TourCatergories

Creating Primary Keys•Double-click Tours in the navigation pane, then click Design View button on the Home Tab

•Click Primary Key button on Design tab

•TourID is a Primary Key now

•Save Work

Relating Two Tables•Click the Database Tools tab on the Ribbon, then click the Relationships button

•Click the Show Table button on the Design tab, click States, click Add, click Tours, click Add, click TourCategories, click Add, then Close

•Click Enforce Referential Integrity check box in the Edit Relationships dialog box, then click Create

•Save Work

Printing a Database•In the Navigation Pane, double-click the Tours table to open it in Datasheet View, then double-click each column separator to resize the columns

•Add a new record with your last name’s Reunion in the Tourfield, today’s date in the TourStartDate field,4 in the Duration, your hometown in the city field, FL in the StateAbbrev field, and Family in the Category field

•Then Print…Your Done
