In the past decade to twenty years, therole of the corporate librarian has become

more and more obsolete.Need to direct focus on the corp. andfurthering the business as the overall goal.keywords: information expert, knowledgebroker

There is a need to transition libraryservices from an older, warehouse modelto one focusing on client-centered uses.Corporate librarians hold the key todetermining new ways to work within their environments. They must drive the

process to change the view of thecompany library as a liability, to the libraryas a necessary investment.
