5MP Medical Monochrome Display ONYX-2320-M5High-resolution display with 5MPs at 0.156 x 0.156 mm pixel pitch. Advanced display performance is achieved through features such as simultaneous display of 3061 shades of gray (11.5 bit) to enable grayscale display that is faithful to the DICOM GSDF and a luminance uniformity equalizer to even out luminance across the screen. The display also has a built in display accuracy control capability.

General-purpose displays are capable of 256 shades of gray, but due to unevenness and grayscale discontinuity, they cannot reproduce and display the subtle shading difference required for medical image displays. Our medical image displays render the most appropriate 256 shades (8bit) out of a maximum of 3061shades of gray (11.5bit) using the built-in LUT. This technology realizes much finer and smoother grayscale than possible with general-purpose displays.

Medical image displays are commonly required to display grayscale according to the Grayscale Standard DisplayFunction (GSDF) defined by DICOM Part 14. 3MP Medical Monochrome Display ONYX-2321-M3This monochrome LCD monitor is designed for accurate diagnosis in medical imaging applications. It has a 10-bit (1,024 tones) simultaneous grayscale display capability from a palette of 3,061 tones for high-definition medical imaging. The applications include PACS, CR, CT, MRI and angiography.

The luminance for each driving level is corrected such that the resulting curve matches the DICOM GSDF achieving smooth grayscale output. The adjusted driving levels are then stored in the monitors drive level LUT (Look-up Table) so displayed images are rendered according to the calibrated drive levels.

The LCD panels are available in both clear and blue base colors.

11.5bit LUT 8bit

Medical images can contain higher dynamic range information than general-purpose monitors can display because monitors are limited to displaying only 256 shades of gray. A linear mapping of higher resolution medical image to the display will make the images appear uneven and discontinuous. Our medical displays map the higher resolution images to the most appropriate gray scale value by using a built-in 10bit LUT. This technology allows the user to visualize much finer and smoother grayscale information than is possible with a general-purpose display.

The one button function consists of four user-selectable modes, each with different settings for brightness and gamma. It includes two DICOM modes - DICOM-CL and DICOM-BL for clear and blue base film, as well as user model, Light Box mode.....
