Solar Source Institute was launched in 2007 to meet the demand for experience-based training needed to enable solar installation companies to

expand their operations responsibly and effectively. SSI is committed to quality oriented training that guarantees the success of our students and

partners. To that effect, SSI has gone to great lengths to assure the industry’s best practices are being taught and credentialed. Most notably,

SSI is a registered training provider for the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

What is the Feed-in-Tariff/MicroFIT Program?

A government solar incentive program that allows home/property owners in

Ontario to harness solar energy and sell it back to their local hydro company.

Program applicants are granted a 20-year contract form the provincial government,

with a guarantee that their local hydro company will purchase the energy their solar

systems produce for 20 years at a locked rate! This is currently the most lucrative

renewable energy incentive program in the world. Average sized residential systems

are expected to generate upwards of $200,000 over 20 years.
