A HISTORICAL PROLOGUE
Between the 1930s and the
mid-1950s, the scientific
and technical basis of a
revolution was created.
1980s. The first Internet
revolution initialized a new
realm of free creation and
exchange of information
BUT NOW!!!
Intellectual property
IP is a term referring to a number of distinct types of
creations of the mind for which a set of exclusive rights
are recognized—and the corresponding fields of law.
Under intellectual property law, owners are granted
certain exclusive rights to a variety of intangible assets,
such as musical, literary, inventions and so on.
Common types of
intellectual property
rights include
copyrights,
trademarks, patents,
industrial design rights
and trade secrets in
some jurisdictions.

Integrity, Libel and Redress
Increased possibility of reuse, new
intermediary and end-user empowerment
on presentations---all this means that a
given content will be used in a context
that is less and less under control of its
original creator.
Two approaches:
The first one is to reinforce a prior control on
information publishing.
The second approach is to try to constitute
positive counterweights to the potentially
dangerous trends.
