Registration is now! Prices increase January 10th. This year’sConvocation’s Keynote Speaker is the Rev. Kit Carlson, who will be discussing her book SpeakingOur Faith. The time to speak, to share our faith, is now. The Rev. Kit Carlson offers a road map forthose who want to learn to speak about the faith that lives within them. Kit will help us put words toour own experiences of God and our personal beliefs, and begin to have compassionate, caringconversations with other people about spirituality, belief, and Jesus Christ. All adult registrants willreceive a copy of Kit's individual and small group guide to her new book Speaking our Faith.

The Good Book Club- Epiphany 2019

The Good Book Club is an invitation to all Episcopalians to join in reading Saint Paul’s Letter to theRomans during Epiphany 2019. Episcopalians will start reading Romans on January 7, 2019 andread a section every day (except Sundays) through the Epiphany season. Forward Movement hasdivided Romans into 50 daily readings, beginning on Monday, January 7, and concluding on ShroveTuesday, March 5. Each day, participants are invited to read, reflect, and pray upon a few verses ofRomans. On Sundays, we encourage participants to take a break from Romans and listen andrespond to the lectionary readings at their local churches. Click here to view the readings or downloada PDF.

Next to New Donation Requests for February & March

Next to New has been truly blessed with donations from our congregation and surroundingcommunity over the past 3 months, which has led to a surplus of many items in our store rooms. Forthe months of February and March, NTN will only be accepting donations of winter coats, boots,hats, gloves and men’s pants. All other donations left in our bins will be forwarded on to Eastersealsof Northern Ohio. We are so grateful to all of you who have shared your generosity with NTN andTrinity!

Performing Artist Series: Carnival of the Animals

Meet the High School Choral Scholar: Isaac Slater

Isaac Slater is in the ninth grade at Toledo School for the Arts. He is veryexcited to perform in the choir at Trinity Episcopal Church. His interestsinclude jazz, singing, and theater. Some of his favorite roles for the theaterhave been Danny in Grease, Tevye in Fiddler on the Roof, and Orsino inTwelfth Night. His most recent stage recognition was in TSA’s Catch Me if youCan. Isaac would like to thank Mrs. Dauel for recommending him to sing atTrinity.

CRU Event: Celebration of Absalom JonesSunday February 17, 4:00pmThe 2019 Absalom Jones Celebration will be held on Sunday, February 17 at4:00 p.m. at Christ Church, Shaker Heights. This is a diocesan-wide event andall are welcome to attend. The Rev. Sharon Williams will be the preacher andthe Rt. Rev. Arthur B. Williams, Jr. will be the celebrant.

The offerings from the service will go to support the two remaining EpiscopalHistorically Black Colleges and University (HBCUs): St. Augustine's University in Raleigh, NC, andVoorhees College in Denmark, SC.

The Celebration commemorates the life and witness of Absalom Jones, the first African Americanpriest in the Episcopal Church, who gained his freedom in the post-Revolutionary War era. Jonescontributed greatly to one of the first large free black communities in the United States.
