Ryan is our nonprofit support guru. He has been with FirstGiving for just over two years, and some of you have probably talked to him on the phone. He is a great resource for getting your FirstGiving account up and running, and answering questions. Ryan recently participated in the Santa Speedo run for Bottom Line.(Yes, he ran in a Speedo down the streets of Boston in December.)

Mistakes made by the fundraisers• Not promoting their FirstGiving page• Not personalizing their page and telling their
friends and family the reason they are fundraising for your cause

What do you recommend for a team size?• It all depends on your
nonprofit and the event.• Make sure fundraisers
each create a fundraising page and link to a team; they shouldn’t create a single team page.

Promote "Doing something we haven’t listed?”• Promote it on your nonprofit’s
website, give step-by-step instructions, and link directly to your FirstGiving start page.
• Give your supporters ideas such as special milestones, donating in memory of someone, or donating in lieu of gifts.
When should we start with our marathon campaign?
