Origin

• Education used to be classroom-based activity between students and teachers. But as the Internet is increasingly familiar and accessible to us, a new approach of learning is introduced to us--- online education

Present situation

• These days, the internet has grown into a veritable wealth of information for college seekers. Everything from applying for financial aid to taking a course can be accomplished online. Now, a student can even obtain online degrees from one of many schools offering online education as a viable alternative to a traditional classroom education.

Advantage

• First, online learning helps to save learners’ time and money. We can just click our way into education, communication, and information without leaving the house and making a time-and-money-consuming journey. Besides we can depend my learning heavily on the Internet by obtaining materials free or at least cheaper than the paper-printed and posting notes and assignments, test papers by email paying no postage.

• Second, online education is incredibly convenient. There is no physical limitation to time and space. we never worry we can’t be enrolled for one class just because it has been crowded with lots of students or the class time is not available for us. There are many subjects and time frames offered to us to choose from.

• Third, the internet is informative. The information stores in the lately 20 years is more than what human being has printed in the past 2000 years. It is just like a 24-hour library, which enables us to search for the right information we need simply type into some key words.

Shortcoming

The first question is that students who study online maybe can not adapt konwledge the teacher speak.They just hear then study by themselves.They don’t have a classmate and they are lonely.

Second question is that students can’t

communicate with their teachers face to face.

Conclusion

We appreciate new form of education. It's indeed a helpful complement to the traditional educational means. It can provide different learners with more flexible and versatile ways of learning. Most of all,with online education, we can sick to our jobs and study and absorb the latest knowledge.
