How it Works - Service Providers• Service providers receive administrator Access codes and login details to start using the service.• The service provider provides this access code along with instructions on using the programme

to clients/learners.• Administrators login to the application to monitor their clients/learners’ progress and view

theirCareerProfile,andusethisinformationtofurtherguidethecareerplanninganddecisionprocess.

How it Works - Clients/Learners• Clients/learners recieve an Access code to create a personal MyFuture+ account. • TheyusetheAppsandtoolsprovidedasdirectedbytheirservice,andbegincreatingtheir

personalCareerProfile.• Theycanaccesstheirpersonalaccountandbuildtheirprofileatanytimetheyhaveinternet

access on any computer or mobile device.• TheirMyFutureaccount,anditsassociatedCareerProfileremainwiththemforthedurationof

theirtimewiththeserviceprovider.Oncethisceases,theiraccountremainsavailabletothem(but not the service provider) as a standard CareersPortal account.

• Client/learnersmayopttomaketheirCareerProfileavailabletomultipleserviceprovidersornoneastheychoose-theaccountistransferrable.

MyFuture+isaunique,web-basedprogrammethatlinks people engaged in career development with their professionalcareersadvisorsortutors.UsingtheironlineCareerFile,learnersandjobseekersgainaccesstoasuiteofhelpfulactivitiesandtoolsthatencourageself-reflectionandsupportcareerlearning,planninganddevelopment.

Service providers using MyFuture+ have instant access totheirclients/learners’CareerFileandprogress,andcanusethecareertoolstoassistinachievinggoalsandspecificoutcomes.

MyFuture+ FURTHER EDUCATION

Thisprogrammeisdesignedforuseincolleges/centresoffurthereducationwherethelearnersareorganisedintogroupswithassignedTutors.Learnersworkunderthesupervisionandguidanceoftheirtutorandstaffassignedtocareerplanninganddevelopment.ThesuiteoftoolsandresourcescanincluderelevantQQImodulesasdeliveredbytheprovider.Learnersareassignedtotheprogrammeforafixedperiod(max2years).

MyFuture+ NEXT STEPS

Thisprogrammeisdesignedforuseinservicesandorganisationsprovidingone-to-oneeducationandemploymentsupport.Clientsareassignedtoanindividualstaffmember,whousestheresources to support the clients’ career planning and goal setting. The clients remain on the programmeforaslongasisnecessarytosupporttheminthepre-employmentandcareerdecision-making process.

Career Sectors –allowsclientstorecordtheirinterestinanyof33CareerSectorsthatcomprisetheWorldofWork.Eachsectorisdescribedindetailwithrelevantup-to-datecareersinformation,livenewsfeeds,livejobsfeeds,latestLabourMarketInformationandcareeradvicefromexpertsonworkinginthesector.

Career Interests Profiler–self-assessmentexercisedesignedtoidentifypersonalcareerinterests,andmatchthesetospecificjobrolesfromtheNationalOccupationalDatabase.Theprofilerproducesaprintablereport,and can also be used to match Further Ed and Higher Ed courses.

Career Skills Profiler–self-assessmentdesignedtointroduceandobtainameasureofdevelopmentacross26keyemployabilityskills.Clientsareencouragedtodescribewhere,whenandhowskillsweredeveloped,andidentifyhowskillsthatarelesswelldevelopedmightbeworkedon.

CareerPad – an online notepad that can be used to record any research undertaken. Can be used to storedocumentssuchascoverletters,CVs,QQIassignments,to-dolists,linkstousefulwebsites,etc.TheCareerPad can store up to twenty documents at any one time.

Personality Profiler-asimpleself-assessmentexercisetointroducetheideaofpersonality.Basedonthe4tempermenttypes,thisshouldassistindiscerningpersonaldifferencesandhowtheymayimpactoncareerchoice.

Multiple Intelligences-apracticalself-assessmentquestionnairethathelpspeopledevelopabroaderunderstandingofintelligenceandencouragespeopletolookattheirstrengthsinadifferentwayinrelationto their career.

CV Builder -includesanumberofresourcesandtipsforproducingatopclassCValongwithanonlinewordprocessortocreateandstorethedocument.Alinkisprovidedtoaccessthe‘EuropassCV’also,ifpreferred.

Cover Letter Builder-includesanumberofresourcesandtipsforproducinganexcellentcoverletter.Includes an online wordprocessor to create and store the document.

Career Research–aseriesofarticlesandresourcesprovidinganoverviewoftheprocessofresearchingcareers that meets the clients/learners needs.

Job Profiles –searchtheNationalOccupationaldatabaseofapprox1,000occupations.UserscansaveselectedoccupationstotheirCareerLibraryforquickaccessatanystage.Occupationaldataincludescharacteristicsofthejob,skillsrequired,typicalearnings,educationalpathwaysandlivejobsearches.

Career Videos-engagingvideosofpeopleworkinginIrelandtellingthestoryoftheircareerpathsofarandtalkingabouttheircurrentjob.ProvidesexcellentinsightintoawiderangeofcareersandthediversityofworkplacesintheIrishworldofwork.

Finding Jobs -aseriesofarticlesandresourcesprovidinganoverviewoftheprocessoffindingjobsinIreland.Includeslivejobsearches,andlinkstomajoronlinejobboards.Thisresearchcanbesavedifwishedin the CareerPad.
