One of my earliest memories

I wasn't alive during the Festival of Britain, (my elder sister was

born on 10 May 1951, one week after it opened). However, one

of my earliest memories is of the day my younger sister was

born, Saturday 28 June 1958. When my grandmother took my

elder sister and me to Battersea Fun Fair, the only remaining

relic of the Festival - and when we got home, we had a lovely

little sister!
