日本人とこちらの人たちで交流がなかなかないことを嘆いている方々がいるという話を聞きました。

So you say we have some sort of dis-communication between Japan and European/US world.

確かに移動には20時間かかるくらい遠いですから、なかなかお互いのことを知る機会はありませんわな。

Sure, when it takes 20 hours to get from there to here, it’s hard to get to know each other.

でもあまりにも僕たちのことしらなくて、このへんに住んでると思ってない？

But you folks know so little about us, We actually suspect that you think that us Japanese live around here…

昨日のこの人のトークに出てきた日本の技術がこちらになかなかでてこないって話もあったよね。

Yesterday somebody asked “Why aren’t Japanese technologies more popular elsewhere?”

まぁわかるけど、ちゃんとググってみた？

日本からここまで20時間以上かかったけど、インターネットなら日本からヨーロッパまでのRTTは300msくらいだぞ

It did take us more than 20 hours to get here from Japan, but RTT time on the net between Japan and Europe is only about 300ms, dude!
