Logging In and Out

Some applications require that you log in to usethem. If you are unable to log in, youmay accu-mulate unassigned vehicle activities that mustbe resolved by the back office.

When two drivers are in the cab, the one drivingis the "active" driver, and the other is the "inact-ive" driver.

To log in, tapDriver Login on the Homescreen.

When you tap in a data entry field, the key-board opens. Type yourDriver ID andPass-word, identify if you are theActive or Inactivedriver; then close the keyboard by tapping

in the lower right corner.

Click the keyboard icon to close thekeyboard now.

Hours of Service (HOS) records and allows youtomanage fully compliant electronic driver logs.Log accuracy is your responsibility; review andapprove your driver logs daily.

If you have Vehicle Inspection Report (VIR) orWorkflow, you can switch among these applic-ations by tapping the buttons in the upper right.

If a sensor or hardware error occurs, youmaysee a popup from the Alert Manager notifyingyou that there's a problem. To seemoreinformation about the error, tap the warningicon in the upper right of the screen.

From the Alert Manager you can see allerrors that were reported as well as noti-fication when the error state clears. When allthe errors are resolved, you can tapDeleteAll to remove all errors and notifications fromthe Alert Manager list.

When you open HOS you see the Status tabshowing the active driver on the upper left. Youcan select another driver if one is logged in.Indicates the active driverIndicates the inactive driver

Next to the driver's name is the current DOT(MOT in Canada) date and remaining hoursuntil the driver goes into violation.

Before you can review, update, or certify logs,the IVG must synchronize your logs over-the-air with the server. The state of that update dis-plays as:

l Log update in progress (not current logs)l Review and approve your logs

You'll see the secondmessage when yourlogs are synchronized.

The Status screen shows you howmany hoursyou will gain over the next two days. Use thisinformation to determine whether you need totake a 34 hour reset.

The duty status tab (7- or 8-Days for US rules,Cycle 1 or 2 for Canadian rules) gives you addi-tional hour information for the week.

The Status tab also displays current dutystatus and information about that status.

Remarks. To change status, tap Changenow.

Here youmanually select a duty status. Drivetime is selected automatically when thewheels move. The available duty statuses arebased on if you are the active or inactive driverand enabled features.

Select or type one or two pre-defined remarksfrom the drop-down list to describe whatoccurred during the status. Tap the text box toselect a remark. Tap to close; then tapOK.

When you tapOff Duty, youmay also selectPersonal Conveyance (PC), if allowed by yourcompany. Your company can set a time limitfor howmuch PC you're allowed to accu-mulate, and when that time is exceeded,you're notified through the Alert Manager.

Because all drive timemust be accounted for,an Electronic Logging Device (ELD) Mandateexempt employee (like amechanic), must log into the IVG if the vehicle is test driven or movedin a yard. If YardMove is enabled by your com-pany, that ELD-exemptELD-exempt driverwould select the YardMove special conditionunder the OnDuty status.

If enabled by your company, Clock In and ClockOut let you account for on duty time away fromthe truck:

l Clock In: Before you began driving, such asattending an early driver meeting.

l Clock Out: At the end of your shift, such ascompleting paperwork in the office.

When you clock in, enter the time your shiftbegan.

Tap the arrows to the right of the clock in timeto adjust your start time. Select one or tworemarks, or, if available, type a remark todescribe what happened during the status.Then tapOK.

Every 24 hours youmust review and approvelogs before you drive. Wait for the "..review andapprove your logs..." message to appear. Whenyou open HOS, you’ll be prompted to certify anyoutstanding logs.

If your carrier edited your logs, maybe toidentify unassigned vehicle activity as yourdrive time, you'll see a popup alerting you toreview the changes. You would tap theReview Carrier Edits button to approve orreject them.

On the Day Log tab, tap the arrows at the topright to scroll to specific dates.

From the Certify tab you can review your logsand edit or certify them to remain in com-pliance. You certify your logs in 24-hour incre-ments, not multiple days at a time.

If a record is incorrect, tap the record to select it;then tap theEdit button.

Load information is required for each trip.

If you haul loads for different carriers within yourcompany, you can select them from the Car-riers tab. When you select another carrier, amessage displays while the carrier change isprocessing. You can continue working.

If your vehicle is driven without a driver beinglogged in to the IVG, unassigned vehicle activ-ity (unassigned drive time) accumulates. Thenext time someone logs in to the IVG, they'llbe prompted to accept that drive time.

Hours of Service: Tab Descriptions, SummaryThe Summary tab shows remaining time foreach clock based on rulesets and your repor-ted hours.

Available drive time is the time remaining onthe 11-hr clock/13-hr for CANMain (or less ifanother clock has less time). The clock withthe least remaining time determines youravailable On-Duty time.

For CANRules, Off Duty Today displays totalqualifying off-duty time taken today. In par-entheses, the amount of off duty time takenoutside of a reset also displays (not for CANNorth).

Here, logs display as a graph. Tap a bar to dis-play that segment's details above the graph.With a bar selected, the Remarks buttonmaybe active if there is a remark associated withthe log. The Info button shows your carrierinformation.

The duty cycle tab displays driving and onduty time as well as hours used for your dutycycle. The number of days depends on whatrule set you're running: 7-Days or 8-Days inthe US, Cycle 1 or Cycle 2 in Canada.

For some states, the state code displaysinstead of DOT or MOT clock, for example"TX 8:00" instead of "DOT 8:00."

If your logs are inaccurate, you can requestthem from the sever by tapping LogRequest button on the duty cycle tab. Youreceive an alert message when the logs arereceived.
