On Monday, our ex- citement over the solar eclipse could not be contained, as our students saw history in the making. I was delighted to see so many parents at our Back to School Night and I’m grateful to all our teachers for making it a fulfilling experience for our families. Their commitment to our students is only outweighed by their love for them. Of course, none of it could be possible without all of you; the wonderful families who are always so willing to support their children in every conceivable way! I would like to congratulate the newest members of our Naonal Junior Honor Society: Blasé Coria, Sophie Cant, Kathryn Dzhambul, Robert Goulet, Joseph Gundrum, Ava Maphis, Francesca Magalia, Meredith O’Mal- ley, Valeria Quintero, Andrea Sia, Payton Wal- pole, and Andrea Zavaleta-Vega. Their hard work, dedicaon to their students, and their outreach to the community is commendable. Top academics is one of the many reasons why I’m so proud of our school. The founda- on of faith and our mission to spread the Gospel of the Lord is what makes us excep- onal! This year will mark the 50 th Anniver- sary of the Eucharist. The Jubilee Year will be celebrated the First Sunday of Advent, De- cember 3, 2017 through the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe, November 25, 2018. This newsleer will periodically highlight miracles, saints, and places where the actual presence of the Eucharist is found. Please see our special feature page by HFCS, par- ent, Denise Galloway. I pray that every HFCS family will make it a priority to celebrate the Eucharist every week. Please remember that there is no school on Friday, September 1, 2017 through Monday, September 4, 2017. Enjoy the long weekend to spend me with your families. I will see you on Tuesday, Septem- ber 5 th ready for a new excing week. God bless, Sister Dorothy Sayers, M.P.F.
