Weight Room Rules
Children under the age of 18 must have a signed parental consent form on file in the Club-
house office to use this equipment. Minimum age to bring a guest is 14. Parental Consent
Forms are available in the Clubhouse office. Parents, please stop by to sign one for your
child. Residents, 18 and older, are welcome to bring 1 guest per visit to the weight room.
This past year, our workout rooms have been used over 5,000 times. Please be courteous of all guest when
reserving our cardio equipment. Please only reserve 24 hours in advance.
We have added a Bosu Balance Trainer, foam roller and small bands to the workout area. Please stop by
and give it a try, your body may thank you for it. What is a foam roller you ask? A foam roller will assist
with sore muscles or if you are feeling stressed out. Not only does foam rolling help relax and rehabilitate
muscles, it helps them grow and repair by bringing oxygen to the muscles. Feeling sore after a workout is a
great time to use a foam roller. It lowers blood pressure and can even improve posture. Come give it a roll!
Wireless Internet Availability
Need to get some work done outside of the office? The Clubhouse Wi-Fi has you covered. Stop by the office to sign in and get the password, then relax in the
rec room as you surf the internet.
PHOTO IDs
Please remember residents must have their OLRA ID with them when using any
of the Recreational Association facilities. If you have not had a
chance to get your ID, stop by the clubhouse to have one made. You will need to provide
proof of residence in the form of a current driver’s license. ID cards are provided free of
charge from January through May. After June 1, there is a charge of $5 per ID card.
Please feel free to call or email the clubhouse if you have any questions. 636-225-2183 or
OLRA will be posting new signs on the Clubhouse parking
lot, indicating that Skateboarding and Motorized Bikes
are not allowed. This creates a potential safety risk, es-
pecially due to all the children that are currently playing
on our lot. We are asking parents to please have your
kids obey the new signage. It is for the safety of all the kids, residents
and property.
May 2020
Hopefully by now everyone is noticing the new addition in front of the Clubhouse. A new shiny red Little Lending Library! With times being what they are, and not being able to get to the li-brary, this is becoming quite an attraction! Many thanks to all the neighborhood residents who made it happen, along with all the books that were donated to get it started!! We are requesting the kids take no more than 2 books at a time. They have all been sanitized, but please don’t return them until we get through this
shelter period. Happy Reading!!
Want a night off from cooking dinner, OLRA would like to start bringing in a food truck,
possibly on a monthly basis. The last couple of food trucks were a big success, and espe-
cially during this trying time, it’s a great idea to help support our local businesses and help
ourselves at the same time. How does BBQ sound? We have lined up a local BBQ Food
Truck that delivers Family Style Meals, from our parking lot, following social distancing
guidelines, on WEDNESDAY May 13. Turn the page to see the menu and we will be post-
ing their menu and information on our website and FB pages, which you will then be able
to pre-order from. Stay tuned to www.oakslanding.org for further details.

OAKS LANDING RECREATIONAL ASSOCIATION BOARD MEETING MINUTES
April 27, 2020
On April 27th, 2020, members of the Oaks Landing Recreation Association held a closed meeting at the clubhouse while practicing
social distancing. Below are some of the topics that were discussed;
Financial Update
Rockwood Account Balance as of 04/27/2020
Checking: $5,423 Money Market: $281,508 American eagle Credit Union Balance as of 04/27/2020 Business Checking: $5 Business Money Market: $40,556 Loan Balance: $25,223 Assessments There are several 2020 assessments that are late, however, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the OLRA is waiving the late fee and will discuss at a later date when to re-instate the late fee. Clubhouse The pickleball courts will be reopened on May 1st. The lights next to the pickleball courts have been upgraded to LED lights. Be-cause the lights are so bright, they will be on a timer and are set to go off at 9:15pm, which is just after the clubhouse closes. Until further notice, the clubhouse and weight room will remain closed. Signage will be going up near the parking lots due to kids skateboarding, rollerblading and riding motorcycles/minibikes. The OLRA ask the parents to please talk to your kids and ask them to obey the signs. This is for the safety of the kids, the residents, and the property. In the past month there have been two food truck nights at the clubhouse. These events went over very well and the clubhouse is looking into having a different themed food truck once a month. If you or a family member or friend operate a food truck, contact the club house with that information. The OLRA is looking for a resident who can help with some computer updates at the clubhouse. Please contact the clubhouse if you can help out. If you have a son or daughter and want to give them a birthday shout out in the neighborhood newsletter, email the clubhouse with their name, how old they are, and send a little message. we will get that in the newsletter so they can be recognized. Pool There was a major leak in the skimmer line on the main pool, which has been fixed. You should see a big difference in the water clarity when the pool opens up. Looking For Updates? Due to the Covid-19 virus, things have changed for all of us, and that includes the clubhouse. We are following the St. Louis County guidelines, which means things are changing daily. The easiest way to keep up with these changes is to follow the Oaks Landing Recreation Association Facebook page or the website at www.oakslanding.org. Submitted on 04/28/2020.

“What Do All of These Acronyms Stand For?” ROHA, NLHA, OLRA: What You Need to Know
1. So, what do the acronyms stand for? ROHA — Remington Oaks Homeowners Association NLHA — Newport Landing Homeowners Association OLRA — Oaks Landing Recreational Association 2. What does each association actually do?
ROHA governs the Remington Oaks and Chestnut Pointe neighborhoods (AKA the “tree-themed” streets), and NLHA governs the Newport Landing neighborhood (mostly “sea-themed” streets on the other side of Hawkins). Homeowners belong to ONE of the two organizations based on their address. OLRA governs
the Clubhouse, swimming pools and tennis courts.
3. Can you give me a refresher on the annual assessments? Each resident receives two assessments each year: one from either ROHA or NLHA, and one from OLRA.
The OLRA assessments are mailed in late January and are due March 1 each year. 4. What, exactly, do the fees cover?
ROHA fees cover common ground maintenance (including Lake Remington), main entrances maintenance, insurance and streetlights for the Remington Oaks and Chestnut Pointe neighborhoods. NLHA fees cover trash pickup, common ground maintenance (including the Newport Landing pond), main entrances maintenance, insurance and streetlights for the Newport Landing neighborhoods. OLRA fees fund Clubhouse maintenance, insurance, swimming pools, tennis courts, fitness rooms, and Clubhouse-sponsored neighborhood activities.
5. I don’t ever use the Clubhouse facilities. Do I still have to pay the OLRA fee? Yes. Per the governing indentures, all households are required to pay both the appropriate
Homeowners Association fee and the Recreational Association assessments. 6. When do I get my 2020 ID stickers and pool guest pass? ID stickers and guest passes will be made available in April to residents who are current on their paid
assessments. Residents must be up-to-date on assessments for both their Homeowners Association and the Recreational Association to receive ID stickers and guest pass.
7. I still have questions. Who do I contact? The back page of the Recreational Association Newsletter
features contact information for each homeowners association. OLRA contact information and monthly meeting minutes are also included in the newsletter. All residents are encouraged to attend both the Recreational Association and their respective Homeowners Association meetings in order to stay informed.
