Case 10MANAGEMENT OF
OLIGODONTIA
A 12 years old female patient
came to Outpatient Department of
Pedodontics and Preventive
Dentistry, with a chief complaint of
spacing in the upper anterior teeth.
Intraoral examination:
• Patient was in mixed dentition stage with retained 55,65 and clinically missing 12, 13 14, 15, 23, 24 & 25.
• Angle’s class I molar relation was evident bilaterally.
• 22 has talon’s cusp• Pit and fissure
caries in 36 & 46 .
• An OPG was taken to confirm the clinically missing teeth and detect for any other abnormalities .
• The radiograph confirmed the absence of seven clinically missing teeth.
• In addition,four third molars were found to be absent.

planned.• Light cure restoration of 22 to
correct the morphology of the tooth.• Glass ionomer restoration of
carious 36 & 46.
