32 Lifelong Learning Service working in partnership to Get Oldham Working

Welcome to Lifelong LearningYou have just taken the first step on the pathway to learning by choosing to read the Lifelong Learning prospectus.

This mini prospectus is full of new courses running from January until July and is intended to supplement our main Focus on Learning prospectus which was published earlier this year. Our courses help you gain the skills you need to get a job, move on in your career, work within your community or perhaps start your own business. Courses will also give you the opportunity to develop or learn new skills as part of our community and family learning programme. How to use this guideThe guide should be used in conjunction with our main Focus on Learning prospectus or our website where you can find more detailed information on our learning centres, our facilities (such as crèche provision and additional learner support), our partnership working and how we work within each Oldham District responding to local need. You can also read about some of our learners’ experiences and achievements. Please visit www.oldham.gov.uk/lifelong or pick up the main Focus on Learning prospectus from your local Lifelong Learning Centre.

I wish you every success and enjoyment in your studies.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the drawing and painting course and have twice entered a few of my pieces of work in to the Oldham exhibition.

I had a very enjoyable time on this course and it has led to my improved confidence and

self-belief in my photography. I cannot thank my tutor enough. As a direct result of my course, I have accepted a place at Huddersfield University studying photography.
