Adult Discipleship Classes May through July 2015 • 11:10a - 12:00pSUMMER
The Bible, Book by Book David Rountree • A101
This is a fun and interactive Bible class that has as its intention to survey every book of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, to infinity and beyond! Join us at any point for essential doctrines necessary for spiritual growth and discipleship maturity. This class is currently studying prophecy from the Old Testament prophets. Our senior pastor’s goal in teaching this class is to teach us the “whole counsel of God” by addressing the main subjects in every book of the Bible. It is a “walk-through” of the entire Bible in approximately three years. Come along for the joy of growing deeper and richer in Christ every week.
A Survey of Reformed Doctrine and Church Government James Duncan • A211
What does it mean to be Reformed? Why do we call ourselves Presbyteri-ans? In this class, we’ll explore the essential features of our denomination and Re-formed doctrine. We’ll cover practices like infant baptism and church government, beliefs like sovereignty and predestination, as well as key people and moments in the history of our church.
College Discipleship Class Mark Burchette • A213
College life can bring great joy for Christian students. This is the time of life when one is making some very important decisions. What is my life’s calling? What major do I take to get me started in that calling? How does God want to use me while I am here? Who are my friends going to be? When will I meet my future spouse? These are exciting times in your life but they also can be stressful.
Doing things for the first time in college can be very exciting and fulfilling but sometimes can be a temptation for anxiety. How do I react to a professor who is an atheist, evolutionist, sexist or socialist? What do I do when fellow students mock my Christian beliefs? How do I defend my faith when my professors seem to be so sure of what they teach?
James 1:2 says, “Count it all joy my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.” God wants to give you great joy in your Christian life no matter what you face in life. This class will help you to see how you can have great joy while facing the challenges of col-lege life and growing to maturity in Christ.

you and all (all church members of the family) of you. You can e-mail these to [email protected]

We will work with Three Crosses Outreach in Norway, SC which reaches out to elementary age students in the community to share the gospel and promote literacy. It runs each day from around 8 in the morning until after lunch, around 1 or 2. We may go back to do additional activities some of the afternoons. We will also volunteer at the church that we are staying at in Orangeburg by helping with VBS. The VBS at the church strives to use this opportunity to reach out into the community and involve those who may not be involved in the church.
Throughout the week, we will use our time in the evenings to prepare for the next day as well as have a time for worship and devotions.
The cost of the trip is $250 and this includes all of the food for the week as well as money for the supplies we will purchase for the crafts and activities we will plan for Three Crosses.
