PRESEASON POLLINGu Oklahoma enters the 2017-18 season ranked No. 19 in the USA Today/National Wrestling Coaches Association Division I Wrestling Coaches Poll, receiving 91 points. The Sooners are one of four Big 12 teams earning a spot in the coaches poll, joining Oklahoma State (No. 3), Northern Iowa (No. 13) and South Dakota State (No. 16).

2016-17 RECAPu In his first season as head coach, Lou Rosselli led the 2016-17 Sooners to a 11-6 dual meet record, including finishing 5-2 in conference competition.
u OU placed second at the 2016-17 Big 12 Championship, paced by runner-up finishes from then-sophomore Davion Jeffries (149 pounds) and then-senior Matt Reed (174 pounds). Additionally, Mike Longo (141 pounds), Clark Glass (157 pounds), Brad Johnson (197 pounds) and Ross Larson (285 pounds) earned third while Christian Moody (125 pounds) took fourth to join Jeffries and Reed as the seven Sooners earning automatic qualifications to the NCAA Championships.
