Богоявлення — Матей 3,13 - 17 Це Син мій любий Упродовж цілого тижня ми можемо на іконі споглядати

хрещення Господа Ісуса.

Ця подія започатковує для нас нове життя. Не сприймаймо

її ззовні, як глядачі чи слухачі. У цьому з’явленні Бога - у

богоявленні - нам з’являється світло Пресвятої Тройці. Бо

в цій величній події діє саме Пресвята Тройця, але діє

Вона через Ісуса, Який є світлом від світла, Якого єдиного

ми можемо бачити, торкатися, чути.

Нехай через споглядання Ісуса на цій іконі ми

наповнимося Його світлом, нехай наші серця наблизяться,

уподібняться до Нього. Ми маємо стати дітьми світла

(див. Еф. 5, 8).

Господь хоче прийти в наші душі, щоб перемінити,

обожествити їх. Звернімося до кількох висловів, записаних

у Євангелії, і нехай Ісус просвітить нас через них.

Дивні для нас слова Ісуса, якими Він звертається до

Йоана: Личить нам здійснити всяку правду (Мт. 3,15).

Слово нам тут дуже важливе. Бо воно охоплює і нас з

вами! Щодо правди16, то тут слід бути обережними з

інтерпретацією.

Йдеться не про ту справедливість, яку встановлюють судді

чи трибунали. Слово справедливість в івриті, як і в

арабській мові, вживається стосовно відносин між батьком

і дітьми, синівських відносин, і це чудова річ. Саме з такої

позиції людина може віднайти правдиві відносини з

Отцем.

Що робить Ісус, аби відновити людину на образ Божий?

Він сходить до нас. Слово сходить також має важливе

значення. У Символі віри ми кажемо: Зійшов із небес. І

справді, Ісус розкриває небо, сходячи на землю задля

любови до нас. У нашому світі здається, що небо закрите.

Проте під час хрещення Ісуса воно розкрилося. Любов

Отця до нас така сильна, що здатна відчинити найважчі

двері. Ісус сходить до нас - і своїм хрещенням провіщає

те, що згодом сповнив до кінця, зійшовши у своєму

розп’ятті до незглибимого дна нашої людської смерти, а

потім воскреснувши з гробу. Коли Ісус, охрестившись,

піднімається з води, Він таким чином знаменує своє

воскресення.

Євангелист Лука пише, що Ісус, охрестившись, молився17

(Лк. З, 21). Слово молитва також вжите не випадково. Тут

не йдеться про звичайну молитву. Перед словом молитися

є префікс до. Той же прийменник вживає Йоан Богослов у

своєму пролозі: І Слово було Бог. З Богом18 було воно

споконвіку (Йо. 1,1-2). Молитва Ісуса цілковито

спрямована до Отця. І ми, які прийняли хрещення, також

разом з Ним піднімаємося до Отця.

У цьому сенсі хрещення Ісуса Христа - це явлення

Пресвятої Тройці, Яка бере нас у свої обійми. І тоді в нас

струменить нове життя, постійно підносячи нас до Отця.

Славлячи Пресвяту Тройцю, подумаймо про те, що

споглядати Отця ми можемо саме в Його улюбленому

Синові. Ми справді підносимося до Отця, і свідченням

того є, що Дух Отця сходить до нас, як Ісус. Святий Дух -

найневловиміший із трьох Осіб. Він відкриває наше серце

для слухання слова, і у Його світлі ми побачимо світло

(Пс. 36,10), Він - чудесний дар Отця в Сині. Дух свідчить

із нашим духом, що ми - діти Божі (Рим. 8, 16).

Theophany of Our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ

“At the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan, the public

ministry of the Savior begins see Mt 3; Mk 1). John the

Baptist points to Christ in the Jordan and identifies Him as the

“Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world” (Jn 1; 29).

During the Baptism of Jesus the Most Holy Trinity is made

known…”The voice of the Father” is the voice of the

Heavenly Father, and the “Spirit in the form of a dove”, is the

Holy Spirit, who descends upon Christ, revealing Him to be

the Son of God. For this reason, Church tradition refers to the

baptism of Jesus Christ as the Theophany (from the Greek,

meaning appearance).”

“The Son of God, “who covers Himself with light as a

garment…today is covered by the streams of the Jordan.”

Christ himself “has no need to be cleansed by them; but

through the cleansing that he himself receives he bestows

regeneration on us.” The God-man enters into the Jordan

waters: “As a man he came to be baptized, and the Jordan

feared him as God and turned back. As a man he bared

himself an entered the water and the Father testified that he

was God, saying: “This is my beloved Son”.

“Christ brings regeneration to humankind, and he chooses

the waters of the Jordan to signify this. In Holy Scripture,

water is a symbol of eternal forces and death, and

simultaneously a symbol of cleansing, rebirth, life, and the

grace of the Holy Spirit. By immersion into the water

(baptism), Christ washes away the record of Adam’s sins. The

waters of the Jordan regenerate all creation. In the Jordan,

Christ “has renewed through water and the Spirit our nature

grown old through sin.” “Transformed into waters of healing,

“the waters of the Jordan become a source of incorruption.”

For by means of water, God offers the world “a salvation of

baptism.” (Catechism of the Ukrainian Catholic Church Christ Our

у со-причастя. Пресвята Тройця - це наше середовище

життя. У день хрещення Ісуса, як і в день Преображення,

Отець засвідчує, що дає нам своє життя у своєму

улюбленому Синові, і дає його через Святого Духа, Якого

щедро зсилає на Сина. Ти Син мій любий, тебе я вподобав

(див. Мт. 3,17). Ці слова перегукуються зі словами ангелів

у різдвяний час: Слава на висотах Богу й на землі мир,

людям Його вподобання (Лк. 2, 14), а не людям доброї

волі. Йдеться про Його волю любити нас. Він хоче для нас

добра. У Христі Він хоче сповнити свій задум спасення.

У тиші, адже світло завжди тихе, гаряче просімо Святого

Духа, щоб дав нам збагнути, що у величній події

богоявлення світові виявляється задум Отця. Так, цей

задум буде сповнений на хресті, у гробі, через

воскресення і вознесення та у зісланні Святого Духа, але виявлений він був тоді, як тільки прибув Ісус із Галилеї на

Йордан (Мт. З, 13). І саме цю дійсність було глибоко

закладено в нас під час нашого хрещення, що є нічим

иншим, як участю в хрещенні Ісуса. То ж прославляймо

Бога. У зачудуванні, як Ісус, піднесімося до Отця в

молитві, і нехай Святий Дух огорне нас.
